Zelda - OPEN
"You should go." Her voice was soft as the loftwing nuzzled against Zelda's side.
Her fingers rested at the nape of her neck trying to dispel the uncomfortable feeling that began to rise through her body. She had to be strong and as others trickled into the highest point of the observatory Zelda put on a confident expression though there was no smile on her lips.
Re: Zelda - OPEN
He was dressed in his full warrior armor, and his axe slung over his shoulder. "How are you holding up?"
Zelda - OPEN
“I’m feeling better thank you.” Better was a relative term but she didn’t want him to worry. “Do you need anything?” She had some potions down stairs that she had kept in case they were needed.
As she spoke her loftwing hopped closer, the large bird trying to wrap around Zelda’s petite form. She wasn’t so convinced that her rider was really feeling alright after witnessing her crying moments before. Though Zelda was determined, this wasn’t the time to focus on worries. There was a battle looming just over head.
Re: Zelda - OPEN
"Are you worried?" he asked softly. "Tis a place of danger right now."
Zelda - OPEN
"Ah, well. The potions are just down stairs." She looked at her loftwing putting a hand on her side. There was a silent conversation that quickly pass between them before Zelda turned towards Meteor. She was smiling though it was more real this time. She was happy that he was there and worried about her.
"I am, a little. We've built this place into a home. I always wanted it to my a symbol of hope for the heroes and now its becoming a battle field." She sighed softly her head falling to the side while cascades of gold fall over her shoulder. She's put all of her energy and time into this building and into the heroes. This was her home.
Re: Zelda - OPEN
"I am sorry, it had to be this way. If it weren't for the accursed beings taking this place for their own, I would have driven them out faster."
"Is there anything I can do?"
Zelda - OPEN
She turned towards her loftwing who seemed determined to stop her from going down stairs. The large bird wouldn’t be able to follow and it didn’t seem keen with leaving Zelda’s side. She gently patted the birds beak, her gaze loving as she spoke.
“You stay. I’ll be right back, I’m just grabbing something.”
The bird took a step back from Zelda, with a shake of its head. She wasn’t happy with letting the young goddess go but she knows Zelda’s words to be true.
She looked up at Meteor again, feeling even shorter since she was a few steps below him. “It’s just down stairs.” With that she began descending the winding staircase.
Re: Zelda - OPEN
Perhaps it could be said he was nervous as well, wringing his hands a little.

Re: Zelda - OPEN
Of course, Val was no stranger to a fight, and in some strange, and natural way, she was excited to let loose, but, she still needed to be concerned for the others around...
After all, collateral damage is a terrible look!
Zelda - OPEN
“How are you?”
She did know that Valvalis enjoyed fighting to a degree that Zelda couldn’t understand. It was the others culture and Zelda wasn’t able to tell her otherwise. It wasn’t as if Val hurt random people for the sport of it.
Re: Zelda - OPEN
"I'm doing quite well. Anxious, but not quite... worried." she comments, putting her hands on her hips. "Though, I'm a little out of my element I'm sure I'll do just fine helping out everyone else. I've given up my bow, however, but I won't forget the time we spent training."
Zelda - OPEN
“Hear that? I’m not alone. You should go.” She spoke to the bird softly who shook its head in return. Then, with a reluctant hop, the bird made its way towards the opening that the top of the old observatory. Its wings flapping at the air before it jumps of the side. After a moment it can be seen against the stormy sky, a dot of blue sticking out amidst the field of gray.
“Looks like its approaching.” Whatever it was.
Re: Zelda - OPEN
"Should I keep Kukaze with you in case you need to withdraw?" And now she takes the place of the bird in worrying for the girl.
Zelda - OPEN
"No, I will be fine. I'm going to stay back and heal those who might need it." It's a simple job but someone needs to do it and she knows that she'll be safe that way as well. Her two jobs are currently support classes anyway.

He was unsurprised to find Zelda already there. This place was practically her house by now.
"It's almost time. Are you ready?" Jade was, as expected, unnecessarily cheerful.

“As much as I can be, I can’t seem to get her to leave the tower.” The loftwing had been using the top of the observatory as its home since only Zelda would venture up so high. It seemed more than a little reluctant to leave.
Zelda sighed softly as the bird began to nip at the hem of her dress. “Are you ready?”

Jade watched the loftwing with interest as it tried to keep Zelda's attention to itself. He hadn't had the chance to see the bird up close before. Animals could certainly grow to impressive sizes.
"Hmm. Is it normal for her to disobey you?"

“I rarely leave the city without her and she’s able to sense that something is off which has her worried.” The bond they share was deep though Zelda didn’t think she’d have to explain it for it to be obvious. They’ve been together for most of their lives.
A hand lightly glides against her light blue feathers as her eyes turned back towards Jade. “Are you used to dealing with animals?” She also had a magical touch with chocobo’s thanks to her background with her loftwing.

Jade didn't get too close. Best not to assume the bird would be as friendly with a stranger. Zelda's question drew a wry smile from him.
"Well... From a scientific point of view, yes. You could say that." Actually, Jade had rather liked animals as a child. That was why he had spent far too much time dragging their corpses home so he could see how they worked. He had enough tact not to mention that right now. "I've never been one for keeping pets, though."

She gently pat the birds neck as it nuzzles it’s beak towards the little treat.
“I wish she’d go. She knows I’ll call her.”

"It's all yours." She smiled and the bird quickly finished the cookie.
Zelda looked over at K'pandolu. "Thank you."

She shifted a little, ears flicking, and nodded, a smile on her face. "You're welcome. It seemed the least I could do."

"Thank you." Before nibbling on the treat she looked up at her loftwing. "See, I'm in good hands. You go."
She patted the birds neck gently before pushing it towards the opening that lead to the sky. "Go." It hopped a few times before spreading it's wings.
