Event || The Night of the Thirteen Moogles

Characters: Everyone!
Where: Aqures Ixen (Old Observatory, others).
When: Night from the 31st of October to the 01st of November.
Summary: Midnight is approaching, ghosts are everywhere and clouds are slowly gathering above the old observatory... What does it all mean? This post is open to all characters, there are no sign-ups for this.

The ninja kicked the ground with her toe and then looked around at the area in front of the old observatory. She didn't really like this building and she was a little annoyed that they referred to it as home. It wasn't her home. This was where they tried to do stuff and yet nothing ever happened. She had given up thinking that any of the gatherings here were useful.

Even so she waited and watched as people stepped inside. As night drew near she paused remembering all of those who've arrived.

"Has anyone seen Cloud?" He was usually one of the first to jump at the chance to be a hero and Yuffie hadn't seen him.

Hearing the sound of Yuffie's voice, Angeal turned to look at the ninja after making enough noise as to not startle her. "I haven't seen him here. But you might want to look out, things seem to be only getting worse."

Yes he knows she can handle some things, but the First Class didn't feel right about leaving her by herself now that he knew that she was here. Strange things were happening and though Angeal lacked his enhanced senses, he'd been in enough mortal danger to know that things were going to get rough from here on out.

Yuffie looked up at Angeal with a little bit of a hopeless expression. She didn’t know that he felt so protective of her and she would most definitely assert that she can take care of herself but she couldn’t help but worry about Cloud; even if it wasn’t her Cloud.

“I know but…” Her thumb nervously glides across her forearm as she spoke, rubbing over the same spot again and again. “He’s always talking about being a hero… he should be here.”

She knew that he would have come, no matter the time frame it was a Cloud thing to do.

That statement about Cloud had Angeal chuckle softly. "If he's talking like that, he's been hanging around Zack too long." But still, someone looking up to Zack was definitely good for the pup. Angeal watched his former student blossom to realize that someone was depending on him.

"If he's smart he won't be here at all." But then again if he wanted to train up with that Buster Sword, he was going to need to learn to wield it and battle was his best bet.

Angeal looked up at the sky and shook his head, missing Zack's cheery presence though right now wasn't the time to be distracted. So he looked back at Yuffie. "You never know though, there's still time."

Yuffie gave Angeal a look that suggested that his words were currently unhelpful. At his last comment she smiled almost bouncing on her feet.

“Yeah! He wouldn’t leave his friends to fight without him. He’s the leader.” He wasn’t the leader yet but Yuffie knew he would be and she was looking forward to that day. Her arms swung at her sides while a bright smile stretched across her lips. She’d stand guard here and wait for Cloud.

She knew he was going to make it and no spiraling foreboding gray clouds were going to darken her opinion of her friend.

Angeal turned away to hide the smile on his face. It was nice to see that Zack's own 'student' had turned into a good person, one that others looked up to.

"Well if he's the leader, I'm sure he understands the importance of showing up when he's needed." It was nice to know that the Buster Sword would go with someone that was respected and honoured. For one of the few times while he'd been here, Angeal felt something of a small sense of peace.

Yuffie almost rolled her eyes. She looked up at Angeal, her lips no exactly betraying how she felt about the current Cloud. "He's not a leader yet. He will be though. Right now he's just a kid." Younger than Yuffie even.

"He's just... still himself.... you know?"

She squinted wondering if that made any sort of sense.

Angeal nodded. "It's good to know who he becomes." And of course carrying the legacy of e Buster sword to be wielded by a man of honour was definitely a plus in Angeal's mind.

"So are you waiting here for him?" And if that was so, Angeal would wait with her, though this wasn't how he thought he'd be spending this holiday. Honestly he thought he'd be spending it baking pumpkin pies and carving more jack o' lanterns and the like.

Yuffie crossed her arms over her chest. "Yes." She would wait until he came.

She didn't really see anything good about this time of year. Last year she spent the night fighting Tifa and since then their relationship had been rocky at best. She didn't really want to loss anymore friends.

"You can go inside." She gestured towards the old observatory.

K'pandolu paused, on the way past. She didn't hold much fondness for Yuffie, but Cloud…

"I can keep an eye out for him," she offered, tail flicking.

Yuffie looked over at the kitty girl with a quick glance.

"If you see him up there. I'm staying here." She'll keep a look out in front of the observatory and she wasn't really looking for company.

With little desire to stay longer herself, K'pandolu simply nodded. "I'll let him know you're worried," she remarked, and passed on.
