Event || The Night of the Thirteen Moogles

Characters: Everyone!
Where: Aqures Ixen (Old Observatory, others).
When: Night from the 31st of October to the 01st of November.
Summary: Midnight is approaching, ghosts are everywhere and clouds are slowly gathering above the old observatory... What does it all mean? This post is open to all characters, there are no sign-ups for this.
Warning: The destructor has come.

[With Yuna’s gun charged and Celes gone she begins to fire, her own gun aimed towards Caius since Fai seems to have the young girl pinned with his beam. Horrifying shrieks cry out as their beams pierce the undead.

She shakes her head slightly realizing that those here don’t know the extent to her magic.]

Chaos is life energy… before I came to Crystallis I could sense everything, feel it inside of me. It’s the energy around us and having a piece of the Chaos inside me lets me control it and form it. [Though she can still be swallowed by it if she’s not careful.]

It’s magic in its purest form.

[She looks over at him, silently wishing he’d understand. She’d always been interested in magic which is why she had continued to learn in the world before this one. Caius notices Yuna’s distraction, he raises his hand and that same dark magic slams her against the wall.]

[Fai stepped back, putting the gun into it's holster for the time being. He didn't have the right job equipped for this he didn't think. Taking a couple of steps back, he was being careful with the wording.]

So basically it's his worlds form of magic? After all magic may look the same but it has many different forms and sources.

[He looked panicked as he watched her be slammed into a wall as he used Slow on the pair to give him time as he rushed over to help her up.]

[Yuna shakes her head even as the room continues to spin. Her gaze lands on the pair and their slowed movements for a moment before looking over at Fai.]

Yeah, its life and energy then it’s using it and manipulating it.

[She’s seen all sorts of magic but she’s found the source to always be the same.]

[He could admit that some worlds it might be the case, his included due t the fact it was connected to his eyes and taking even one away could kill him, but he still didn't think it was the same for every world. But for now, he figured they should move as he could see another cursed hero coming and that was one he didn't want to confront when there were two others.]

You make it sound like your manipulating lives by saying it's life and energy that you use and malipulate. I know that isn't what you mean, but... never mind we best get moving since I was being followed by another and I would rather face them one at a time.

[He had some idea as he picked up Yuna bridal style as he soon started to head off towards a direction, knowing that at least one of them would catch up as soon as Slow stops working. Turning a corner and heading down he soon turned into a room before placing her down.]

Now all we can do is prepare and wait. One of them will come soon.

[Yuna grimaces and it isn't from the pain. Her magic, summoners magic, is playing with the souls of the dead. Chaos is very similar. It isn't a magic she's continued to practice until Ruby City. She's a little nervous to bring it up again but she has a feeling that it might.]

Wait.

[She isn't able to stop him as he sweeps her up into his arm. Her gun rests on her lap while one arm grabs for his shirt. It hurts a little, her back is more than a little bruised.]

I have one thing that might help.

[Yuna looks up at Fai as her feet lightly press against the ground.]

I can summon the Reaper.

[The Reaper? That didn't sound like a nice thing really? And if she did summon him then what exactly would happen to those who are more than likely following. Sure he had taken her so they would have time to plan before they could catch up, but nothing had sprung to his mind with what jobs he had. It seemed like the only option at the moment.]

What exactly would the Reaper do?

[Yuna isn't completely sure.]

He's a pet of mine. After we fought him, he's able to cast killing blows and sap health.

[It will at least be another body for the zombies to fight.

She can hear slow shambling down the hallway and realized that there might not be time to do anything else.]

[Fai had already moved to close the door and press himself up against it for the time being. He knew this would bind only a couple of minutes due to what magic they could use, but it was the least he could do if it gave the other time.]

I guess if we have to...kill them... Would that be the right term here? Then we will have to, so I say go for it.

[As much as deep down he wouldn't want to do that, he feels like they might not have much choice.]

[Yuna nods feeling a chill run through her arms. She brought out her whip which helps her summons her pets. There is a black mist in the air that swirls in front of her and slowly forms the daunting cloaked figure.

It's hard to see her friends like this but she'd fight and set them free.]

Okay.

[She nods her head towards the door and the reaper slightly moves out to meet the zombie shambling down the halls.]

[The moment the thing was summoned he had opened the door and stepped back. He knew at this point the only help he can be was being the Time Mage portion of his abilities and that was to use Haste of Yuna and Slow on the others when he saw them again since he knew by now that would have worn off.]

[Yuna smiles at Fai stepping up next to him as the reaper approached Caius.]

He should be able to handle Caius. I'll be focusing on healing him and trying to distract the other.

[She pauses, looking a little nervous. It hurt but this isn't the time for her to regard her heart. She lightly kisses Fai on the cheek before pulling away.]

You'll stay safe right?

[The fight isn't over yet.]

I'll try, but no promises.

[Especially since one certain reminder was currently after him he was pretty sure. He just hopes this works, if it did maybe he'd feel more comfortable. As that thought ran through his head magic came up from behind and just barely missed.]

I guess that's my cue to move.

[Yuna watches Fai for a moment longer before stepping into the hallway. Her reaper has Caius completely occupied and it seems as if the talented pet is putting up a valent fight. She casts heal on the dark figure keeping him up until he’s able to bring Caius to an end.

Her gaze then lands on Yeul, the small girl who’s always standing just behind Caius.]

I’m sorry.

[Yuna pulls out her ghostbuster gun and fires at the girl hoping that Fai might be able to finish the job. She’s spread pretty thin but if they keep this up they’ll be able to win.]

[Fai looks as his gun for a moment before putting it away. It was use less as Gunner seemed to have no effect, so he had to quickly think on what he was going to do before Kurogane made an appearance. So instead he figured he might as well used Demi from the Time Mage job instead. It wasn't much but it was all he could do.]

[Demi as well as Yuna’s pet seemed to be enough to keep the two busy as well as slowly sapping their strength. It’s hard to tell that they are doing anything at all until Yeul’s small form tumbles to the ground. Yuna stops her ghostbuster beam and then turns towards The Reaper who almost has Caius on his knees. She heals her pet though the spell and effort is starting to take a toll on Yuna.

She stumbles back against the wall feeling her head swim as she continues to exert herself. Another few minutes and both Caius and the reaper are down. She dismisses her pet calling back Celes who is currently equipped as a healer.]

You okay Fai?

[Yuna’s used a lot of magic though she’s still standing which is better than her last big fight.]

I'm fine.

[Fai had most been avoiding magic so much, so thankfully hadn't used as much as the other. But for now he figured it would be in there best interests if he moved away, or at least got away before the other would appear.]

You should rest up somewhere.

[Yuna’s brow furrows.]

I’m not leaving you here.

[She knows that he has a friend in crystal stasis and she isn’t going to leave Fai to face him alone.]

It’s not safe. I’m going to stay with you.

[Her tone suggests that arguing if futile.]

[Well arguing he will do, he knows she needs to rest and he isn't going to take no for an answer.]

You need to rest up before you even have a chance, now is not the time for dumb choices.

[Yuna's brow furrows slightly.]

It isn't dumb. Do you think you can fight alone? Without any backup?

[She's tired but she still has her gun and she can summon Celes to heal them.]

I could hold them off for as long as it would take for you to rest and gain magic again because you must be low at this point.

[Even if she went and got ethers or something, he just wanted her to not over do it to the point she had nothing left.]

I'm not saying I'll be doing it alone, I'm just saying it's more beneficial to rest first then join in when it's right.

[Yuna pauses for a minute. Her eyes looking up at Fai as she takes each word and turn it over in her mind. She knows that what he's saying makes perfect sense and Yuna's been more than just a little reckless as of late. Even so, she knows those in the hospital and she doesn't want Fai to be alone.

A long breath escapes her lips before she nods.]

I'll rest but promise me you'll be safe.

[He nodded slightly, he knew all he could do was try and not promise that he would be safe. He knew that all he could do was simply try as much as possible.

I cannot promise something that is impossible to tell, however I can at least say I will try my best not to.

Okay.

[Yuna really doesn't like that answer but for now she relents. she quickly presses her lips to his cheek before running off and out of harm's way. She hopes to find an Ether or something so that she can run back but it depends on who she runs into.]
