"In a sense, yes," she agreed with a smile. She didn't have a corporeal body as a shinigami, but she had still grown and learned the same as almost anyone. "It's just a different means of existing, on a different plane."

She wasn't bitter about it in the slightest, nor did she have any regrets, of her very short lifespan in the world of the living. She'd died as a baby, so it wasn't as if she knew what she was missing. At least, she hadn't known before she'd got a taste of what it was to be a mortal in this world. Rukia picked up a pair of menus, allowing Yuri to select the table before following after him to take a seat.

"It's not something I should allow myself to grow accustomed to, of course. But the experiences I've had so far..."

Rukia tipped her head back with a serene smile, recalling her first meeting with Cloud and his affectionate chocobo, of playing video games with her roommate late into the night, of the sheer exhiliration she felt when she got her letter of acceptance into the military, of linking arms with Raven for her first date...

"...It's been...pleasant." She closed her eyes, her smile widening into a grin. "Very much so. I'm grateful to be here, I can't deny that."
