Rukia requested a simple omelet for herself. She was a big fan of eggs, and found the dish to be one of her favorites. With that out of the way, her expression sobered a little. Nothing wrong with indulging? She shook her head.

She couldn't explain every last detail, of course, but there were a lot of restrictions placed on how much a shinigami could interact with a living person. The general rule was: don't. Don't ever. It led to serious complications, as she'd learned well.
