Mooglehunt
Characters: James Kidd (Mary Read) and the Heroes she's approached about her Assassin's Guild
Where: Trano Golsaucia
When: Begins November 6th and hopefully ends by the 9th
Summary: The information that Mary has gathered has lead her to believe that the fugitive moogle Artemicion has been spotted in Trano Golsaucia. She's decided to take a small group to take him in herself.
OOC notes: This log is semi closed to people who Kidd has had CR with. However the first prompt will be open and if you want to try to come on board please contact me via plurk or message. Even so, she wants to keep party size limited so to not spook her quarry. OOC post here: link
Largely this will be a first proper mission for her guild's pc trainee's. Information on the Artimicion will be supplied by the mods as they're able to help us out. Beyond that this is sneakytime fun. I'll handle any npcs that we interact with. I believe the best way to do it would be for each player to pick which location and date they will be searching an area during the trip, covering the 7th and 8th. On the 9th a move will be made and hopefully the moogle will be captured.

On the 5th, letters go out to a few particular Heroes, and not through the normal Mognet channels. Instead they are dropped off quickly and quietly, though a keen eye may still spot the hooded moogle jumping from hiding place to perching point as she goes about her deliveries.
The letter reads:
Dear Friends,
Ever since the vanishing of Palitutu I have been reaching out to various contacts that I could make around the world, trying to find out what I can about her movements. While the Tarutaru has remained elusive, there seem to have been sightings of a particular moogle that I would like to investigate and I'd appreciate your assistance.
Please meet me at the Eagle Eye pub tomorrow so that we may discuss matters.
Yours,
James Kidd

Kidd then turned to look at Saori properly and she couldn't help but smile. The robes that they sold in this city looked remarkably like those of her Brotherhood, but she was able to catch the differences. Still, it warmed her heart to see someone else wearing them like this.
"I've been well enough. I'm afraid I wound up not being much help this past month with the ghosts. My apologies."

Oh no. Mary smiled at her. She pulled the hood down a little more over her eyes. The assassin's robes were wonderful in Saori's opinion. It wasn't bogged down by clunky heavy armor and it didn't have the awkward ill-conceived design some equipment made for females had. Practical and looked great on her. It was the best of both worlds.
Saori shook her head. "A-Anyways, I know I owe you a date from the auction. If it's alright with you, if fortune allows us, I'd like to treat you to dinner or something." Though to be perfectly honest, she'd rather make her own date meals but beggars can't be choosers. She kept pushing it later and later plus there were the incidents through out the month that just kept popping up. It wasn't like she didn't want to go through with it. She did have a mini bid war with Ramza for it after all. 118 years old and still fidgety like school girl confessing to her crush. She must've looked pathetic now.

But Saori did have most of her attention at this moment. She lacked the ability to get into Saori's head of course but she was sharing that thought that the robes looked nice on her. Of course they did have some nice tailors in this city but they suited her as well.
"That...that would be nice, though I don't think here and now is the right place for it." She smirked and then adjusted her seat, leaning in a bit more to the other woman. "Or perhaps did you mean during this trip? I can't promise anything but if we do chance on a free moment...perhaps."
The professional side of her disliked the idea of mixing business with pleasure, but this world had them on edge almost nonstop lately. As long as she didn't let herself get TOO distracted then she could afford this indulgence.
And if she DID get too distracted then she could save that for when she wasn't searching for an errant moogle.

She turned her attention back to Mary. "No, not when there's too many familiar faces watching here," she shook her head. "Well, I suppose our best option for now is to roll with it. And if all else fails, there's always afterwards or will you be away when we're done?"
She made it habit when it came to work back home to keep business and pleasure separate too but even gods have a hard time following their own rules. Though to be fair, majority of the time it was unintentional and she did try to save it until after a mission as a bonus to herself.
