Mooglehunt

Characters: James Kidd (Mary Read) and the Heroes she's approached about her Assassin's Guild
Where: Trano Golsaucia
When: Begins November 6th and hopefully ends by the 9th
Summary: The information that Mary has gathered has lead her to believe that the fugitive moogle Artemicion has been spotted in Trano Golsaucia. She's decided to take a small group to take him in herself.
OOC notes: This log is semi closed to people who Kidd has had CR with. However the first prompt will be open and if you want to try to come on board please contact me via plurk or message. Even so, she wants to keep party size limited so to not spook her quarry. OOC post here: link

Largely this will be a first proper mission for her guild's pc trainee's. Information on the Artimicion will be supplied by the mods as they're able to help us out. Beyond that this is sneakytime fun. I'll handle any npcs that we interact with. I believe the best way to do it would be for each player to pick which location and date they will be searching an area during the trip, covering the 7th and 8th. On the 9th a move will be made and hopefully the moogle will be captured.

On the 5th, letters go out to a few particular Heroes, and not through the normal Mognet channels. Instead they are dropped off quickly and quietly, though a keen eye may still spot the hooded moogle jumping from hiding place to perching point as she goes about her deliveries.

The letter reads:

Dear Friends,

Ever since the vanishing of Palitutu I have been reaching out to various contacts that I could make around the world, trying to find out what I can about her movements. While the Tarutaru has remained elusive, there seem to have been sightings of a particular moogle that I would like to investigate and I'd appreciate your assistance.

Please meet me at the Eagle Eye pub tomorrow so that we may discuss matters.

Yours,
James Kidd

Ashelia had the same thoughts when it came to the Temple of Wind - was there anywhere for the creature to hide in such a place? And yet, with the Crystal of Fire now out of his and Palitutu's grasp for the time being, it made sense to target one of the other less guarded crystals - Artemicion's apparent presence somewhere around Trano Golasaucia was enough to lend credence to that theory.

Worrying that her aerial capabilities would draw too much attention, Ashelia eschewed flight for solid ground. She had arrived shortly before Ellie, and was in the middle of getting the lay of the land when the other Hero strode into the Temple proper. She recognized the woman from the pub, and moved into a position to catch her eye. Ashelia reached out with her mind, using the lesser-seen powers granter her by her Psychic job. < Worry not, none else can hear me. I am the Lady Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca - we've yet to meet properly, but I'll not hold your current lack of introduction against you. > The young queen couldn't help a smirk at that.

< If Artemicion is indeed here, we must needs be cautious. Meet me in the air garden in five minutes. > With that, Ashelia began to meander away, making her way to the rendezvous point.

Ellie couldn't help stiffening a little at the unfamiliar voice filtering into her head. Her gaze flicked briefly to Ashe, who was looking directly at her, so at least she knew who it was coming from. She hadn't known the woman was capable of doing such a thing. How was it done? Could she hear Ellie's thoughts as well?

Hopefully not.

Her gaze lingered only half a second, since she wouldn't want to draw any undue suspicion. Instead she kept walking forward, tipping her head back to examine the crystal before touching it. The one of fire had felt warm, so she imagined this one would likely be cool to the touch. Would it inspire the same feelings of nostalgia and home?

She kept her expression contemplative, even wistful, while silently counting down the minutes in her head. When the appropriate time had passed, Ellie withdrew with a soft sigh, and turned to leave. She hadn't known this place even had an air garden, but she would follow the path the aristocrat had taken.

Now that the wind wasn't wreaking havoc with her hair and clothes, Ellie stepped into the garden while smoothing back her many, many flyaways to pin them more securely in place. Just a lady fixing her hair, nothing suspicious here...just in case the two of them weren't alone in this place.
