Summary: Characters all received a Mognet Letter informing them of the upcoming meeting. It happens in the reunion room in the Castle of Aqures Ixen. If you . Characters who received Kurma's letter will be able to meet him on the 12th of July.

Rose noticed Zelda immediately, pleased to see at least one familiar face after what had apparently been a long time away. With a smile on her face, Rose strode towards her in what she hoped was a confident manner.

Waking up in the hospital so suddenly had been rather frightening. At her age, even though she could half expect it, waking up in a hospital was always a fear not far from her mind. So though she felt she put on a brave face the hesitance in her expression, the slight shaking of her hands, and the way her smile didn't quite touch her eyes revealed to the sharp of eye that something still wasn't quite right with her.

"Why hello dear!" She exclaimed, mustering some enthusiasm so as not to add stress to what appeared to be an already heavy situation. "I should have known you would be right in the middle of things keeping all the wheels spinning. It is so lovely to see you again."

Zelda looked up at the familiar voice a rang of expressions shifting across her features. First confusion after hearing a voice that she hadn't for so long, then awe at seeing her friend and then happiness. Unlike Rose her smile lights up her face as if the young goddess had seen an angel.

"Rose! You're back." She felt tears of relief dot the corner of her eyes. "I never thought I'd see you again. I'm so happy."

Zelda didn't want the older woman fighting if she wasn't comfortable with it but it certainly boosted her moral seeing her. "I still have your Christmas present. It kept me warm through the winter." Which was a very rough and cold winter.

Rose smiled, a genuine smile that lit up her face and made a mockery of the previous attempt at a smile.

"I am so glad you found it useful. I wish I could have done more, but it seems I took a short cut past winter entirely."

Her smile fell as she regarded the map quietly for a moment, one hand reaching out to trace the area around the hospital.

"I hear we have trouble coming. I may not know many of the details but I want to help however I can."

She pulled her hand back from the map, fingers visibly trembling as she did so. She gathered he strength with a deep breath and balled her fist as she pulled it to her chest.

"However I can."

Zelda's expression softened. "There is a lot to be done and not all of it is fighting. Though that is the obvious. There are so civilians who are not wanting to leave the city. A few heroes have decided to go around and implore them to leave, more so show the Empire arrive. There is a group working to use the Ultima Weapon to fight though that looks like it might be dangerous. Other than that we have areas to protect and strategies to think about."

As always Zelda was trying to organize the data more than provide new information. She knew where her strength's were and strategies wasn't one of them. She was persistent and good at taking notes.

"I've been thinking of using the city against them but I don't know how. I want peoples homes to stay intact and safe so the citizens have a home to return too."

Rose nodded decisively. There were people to protect and she had to focus on that for now.

"You are absolutely right, dear. Having a home to return to is important, but we also need to make sure we can keep them out of the commotion. Is there anywhere where we could gather those that don't want to leave and can't protect themselves?"

She looked up into Zelda's face, all the strength of a woman who had dedicated her entire adult life to protecting her family shining forth from her eyes.

"Homes can be rebuilt, but families can't. You just let me know if someone needs the kind of tongue lashing only a woman with grandkids can dish out. I won't put up with any tomfoolery."

She paused for a moment and flexed her fingers as if relieving pressure, "I may not have half the pep I had back home, but I'm sure I can still be useful."

Zelda smiled at Rose. "Well, I had heard that some civilians didn't want to leave the city. I agree that homes can be rebuilt and they aren't worth lives. It might be good to have someone so wise telling them they should go."

She imagined it was hard for the citizens to trust the heroes to keep their homes safe. This wasn't the heroes world or the heroes permanent home and yet the heroes were fighting for it. It was an odd balance.

"I admit I don't have many details about that but.." Zelda pointed at the map. "If you want to be in charge of this area here? Getting people out and making sure that no one gets hurt. I know it hasn't been covered yet."

"I'll be happy to help in any way I can. Unfortunately, however, I am not quite as spry as I used to be. I'm worried I won't be able to effectively protect the whole area by myself, so hopefully we can a few young bucks involved too."

Rose laughed, the years falling off her face for a moment as her rough laughter rang through the air.

"Oh dear, I can almost hear what the younger me would have said to that admission."

She smiled and shook her head before sighing and looking around. Her troubles were definitely not forgotten, but certainly pushed into the back of her mind while she focused on what was in front of her at this moment.

"Do you know if there is anywhere we can send the people who won't leave the city so that they can be in a protected place rather than spread all over creation? Assuming the stubborn young things don't insist on sticking their heads in the sand."

Zelda shook her head. “I don’t know for sure. It’s worth asking about but I’m almost positive that some are staying in their homes hoping to be protected from the conflict.” The fires of Esdham rose in her thoughts and she shook her head to push them away.

She admired the way Rose could laugh, the way she admitted her strengths and weaknesses. They were very lucky to have her back even if she was now thrust into this conflict without much warning.

“There have been people who’ve expressed interest in helping the civilians evacuate. Some are heroes that are new to this city. Maybe if you paired with one of them you can be there experience. I doubt they know there way around just yet.”

"Sounds like a plan to me. I'll keep an eye out and I'll let you get back to more important things than chatting with an old woman."

Rose looked around at the people arriving, the other so called heroes who had been brought here like herself. It seemed like there were so many more than she remembered from before.

She turned back to face Zelda with a concerned look upon her face, "Before I leave, I just want to make sure you've really been doing okay. I know how hard you work and from what I can tell things have only been getting crazier while I was...away."

Zelda hesitated knowing that the older woman meant well. There was a lot of things plaguing her thoughts, the most of which was that Link was now in crystal stasis. She didn't want to focus on it or think that the man she loved would never wake up.

She shook her head and flashed Rose a weak smile. "I'm fine." She had to stay focused or she wouldn't know what she would do.

It was easier being strong when she was distracted. Her smile strengthened. "Maybe after all of this we can talk again."
