Here's hoping for a Christmas Miracle

Who: Ramza, Jack, Ashe, Chrom, Zelda, OU Yuna, MarKus, any other volunteers
What: Ramza is proposing a Christmas time peace with the Empire to deliver presents and warning Kurma that his city is going to be a crystal in a month or so.
Where: The Imperial Capital
When: December 24th (crazy forward dated)
Warnings: There will probably be consequences for our stupidity. This may include, but is not limited to, death, torture, capture, immolation, and/or extreme exasperation on the parts of all NPCs involved.

Ramza was not sure whether it was the ‘Santa’ job affecting him, or if it was his own ideals, but either way, as Christmas approached, he knew what he needed to do. The Heroes of Light had reached out and given gifts to the kids of every city but one. The Imperial children, the ones who were in imminent danger of crystallization in the upcoming months, had not been visited by Santa and his helpers. Even if Cid was convinced the Empire was full of monsters, Ramza could not believe that of the children. There were lives worth saving there, and he would not write them off.

If there was ever a time to reach out to the Empire, it was now. Ramza had a bag full of presents, and he was certain that if he could just explain his reasoning, he would be allowed in to distribute them. And once inside, perhaps he could find Kurma and warn him of what they’d learned from the Sage on the Continent of Ruin.

They had failed to save the people of Aqures Tosf, and Ramza was determined to never let a tragedy of that magnitude happen again, not even if it killed him.

He nodded and noticed how, well, suspicious Sparks and some of his colleagues seemed to be. "Let's be real, if I really wanted to kill you I'd do it in your sleep. Relax and enjoy the scenery."

And before long, they did reach their destination. When they finally reach the graveyard, it was eerily silent: there were very few people who would pick this location to spend Christmas Eve, after all. The only person there was Jenni, standing before a grave with a bottle of alcohol in hand. Upon approaching her, they could see the tombstone more closely, it was a fairly recent one.

Rikku shuffled along, hanging near the back of the group. Boots parting trails in the snow with her reluctance. Every step forwards was one further from where the guardian should be, she’d hardly hesitate to break rules and use stealth to watch over Yuna at the dinner – who cares about invitations, but feared running back would hurt everyone else.

The grave gave her pause. Dirt and a name. It could all be a ruse, Kalki was smart enough to trick her own people. A churning feeling in her gut reminded Rikku of the time as a prisoner. Being forced to choose someone to be hurt, telling them to experiment on Seymour instead of her family and the other guardians…

Her head shook to dispel the thought, although its bad taste lingered. It didn’t have to mean anything. Not a thing.

Lifting the glance of her spiral pupils from the mound of the grave to Jenni, she stayed silent.

Kidd could appreciate those words from their guide. It was a bit of a tired phrase, but at the same time he wasn't trying to pretend he wasn't a potential threat. In another world and another circumstance she imagined they might see more eye to eye. Or have been a worthy rival. Either way.

She watched in silence as Rikku approached the grave and Jenni. She said nothing but her gaze lingered on the epitaph. Curious words, especially considering their journey to the past when she was last seen. Was this a last riddle from her? Some sort of clue to where she really was?
