With Rukia's help they were able to find a large enough hall in Christmas Town to throw the party. Zelda had set it for this day since a group of brave heroes were going to set out on the 24th. She had made sure that everything was perfect and of course everyone was invited. There were at least six decorated trees with polished silver and gold ornaments hanging from their branches. Scarlet red ribbons decorated the trees and tables with large bows tying the streaming trails together.

There was one very large tree at the halls center and there were a few presents around the bottom for those who needed a place to put gifts. At it's top was a large pointed star.

Champagne and small finger snacks were set on the tables and a part of the room was cleared for those who wanted to dance. Zelda was even able to hire a few people to play Christmas songs throughout the night. There was a table dedicated to sweets with cookies, cakes, small pies and other wonderful treats spread out for people to try.

Among the decorations was mistletoe. This little plant hung above the doorways waiting for any pair who happens to be caught in their hold. Most of the mistletoe was thanks to Minako but Zelda might have put up one sprig at the entrance to the party; it's all in good fun and kisses on the hand or cheek are perfectly acceptable.

THE MEALS HAVE ARRIVED!

[Aaaaand Deadpool makes the scene at long last, in his hands... a large plate filled with chimichangas. Where did he find all of that? Why did he make so many? Did he abuse something or someone? These are probably questions you don't want answered right now.

Either way, he's sitting them on the table with the other foods and opting to try to hand them to others as they pass.]

[Saori's jaw dropped at the sight of chimichangas. Yes, more food is a good thing for a large scale party like this. She may have to pry him on where he got these later. Even though it had been years since she had one, it wasn't hard recognize it.]

I mean normally it's fried chicken during Christmas back home but wow! I hadn't had one since my last trip to the States.

[Reno stared, but he had to admit, he was curious. They smelled good, and they looked edible if foreign. Unfortunately, they came from the suspicious guy in the mask. Then again, if Deadpool was anything like Graham... or Graham on steroids... then maybe he wasn't so bad after all.]

[The next time that Sephiroth approaches one of the food tables is when his eyes find that new plate of small wraps which seem still to be a little warm. He's all for trying new foods but not knowing what's in them -there is only a finite set of recipes it could be, right?- begs more for careful scrutiny before taking a couple of napkins from the top of the nearby stack and picking one from the pile.]

-for all the time standing there looking at it, kupo, it'll get colder-

[Spencer pipes up, having relocated his Hero and hovered over. Sephiroth fixes him with a look that's not quite insulted, but sharp all the same, before finally taking a small bite - careful not to allow the filling to squish out too much.]

[And watching Sephiroth acting all suspicious over the chimichangas seems to have made Deadpool a little insulted]

They're safe - I haven't poisoned them or anything!

Yuri Lowell & Open - Mistletoe Shenanigans

[ The most Yuri had done today was put on a red Santa Hat to humor the children and maybe some of the workers. By the end of the day when the party started, he was pretty much lazing around sipping a drink with that hat still on. He let Repede do what he wanted and the dog trotted here and about bugging familiar faces, or spending time with the children.

Yuri just walked and stared at the mistletoe that was staggering right above him and raised a brow. Well, he heard the stupid stories about them, and he wasn't the type of man that was interested in these types of things to be honest, however, it's not to say that he's not interested in harassing or possibly trolling people he was familiar with. That is the nature of Yuri after all.

He's going to chill there for a moment a sip his alcohol yep. ]

[ ooc: this is for anyone who wants to awkwardly end up under the mistletoe with Yuri and maybe get something pretty embarrassing out of it! Be warned! ]

[Someone's going to beat him to the trolling punch, because of all the places he decided to stand, Rukia doubts it's a coincidence. Honestly she's just glad he decided to show up to the party after all. Did her harassment pay off? Doubtful. Yuri can be social when he wants to be, right?]

Or were you just not aware of the traditions attached to that little plant?

[ Yuri replied with a chuckle for he response. He's genuinely curious so to say. he's not really into the festivities but learning about them is rather fun from time to time. He did only because he ended up baking so much for the event itself. On top of that, he was too damn lazy to leave the place. That's why he's here. Don't think anymore of it, Rukia. ]

None at all. It's honestly, just a plant on top of a doorway.

[Yuffie is all for sneaking kisses under mistletoe and it's something she's done a few times at the party so far. Her palms are on her hips as she looks up at him.]

It means you owe me a kiss.

[Only she's been stealing kisses on the cheek so don't do anything weird Yuri.]

[ He replied giving her a brow raze as he sips his drink. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. Who's going to tell her anyway? Yuri's pretty unpredictable in these kinds of situations to be honest. He stares back at her for a moment, completely blank on what she's trying to imply, before he starts laughing. ]

If that's what the plant means, then I'll be passing on that really.

[ Kisses on the cheek huh? Maybe he'll swoop for the lips and then deter it towards her cheek just to scare her? Only that's too much work and he's not in the mood. ]

[Arms waved around with excitement as the young pirate had finally procured himself the long sought after meats that had been promised to him. Trotting and chewing, Luffy spots a familiar face across the room, calling out with a full mouth as he sees Yuri sipping on a drink without any sort of food on him.

Hurrying over, he finally stands before the other male with a leg of meat hanging out of his mouth while he speaks, some how grinning at the same time.]

Mmnn-!! Murray! Mow mew mewing?! Mo meet?! (Translation: Yuri! How you doing?! No meat?!)

[ Yuri caught sight of Luffy's hat before he caught Luffy. Which isn't a surprise in his opinion but the sight of the other like that made him grin a little. It's been a while since the expedition and he hasn't seen Luffy for a while. He's glad to see the other is doing perfectly fine with his monstrosity of an appetite again~ ]

Yo Luffy. You're going to have to swallow that before asking me questions because all I got from you were gibberish. I see you haven't changed much since I saw you last time!

[and along comes Flynn.]

The kids really seem to have taken a shine to you, Yuri!

[ Yuri takes the rest of his drink down and stared at Flynn for that comment. ]

Not as much as screaming about how awesome you are as a white knight, Flynn.

Mistletoe Shenanananigans

[ Sheena had been one of those who had been approached by Repede and the ninja knew that where the dog was, Yuri probably wasn't too far away.

And sure enough, after Repede had moved off and she was left alone to wander the crowd and meet and greet those she knew, Sheena came across the man. Spotting him, she smiled and wandered over to him, totally unaware of the tradition of the plant hanging all around. ]

[ No he really wasn't. While Repede enjoyed his walk and snagging food for himself, Yuri was just chilling around the general area being himself really. He's not looking for people to talk to or people to kiss. He's just enjoying himself after catering to so many little kids. Strangely enough, they liked him a whole a lot.

Not that he was complaining. ]

Elena & Open

[Though normally not one to be a wallflower, Elena is still pretty new to the city and unfamiliar to many of the faces milling about. So she's keeping a healthy distance from the main group with an ever-watchful eye over the crowd. She may appear to be lacking any festivity, considering she's still wearing her gunner outfit, but she's not had the time or money to find something more suitable.

At least the booze was decent, a single glass of champagne being nursed through the event.]

[Reno sidled up beside Elena with a beer and his paper bag of gifts.]

Hey, you.

[He smiled, still wearing his own Assassin's coat. Between going to Mysidia, Santa's Village, and shopping for other people, some kind of festive outfit for himself had never crossed his mind.]

[Yuffie waves a dismissive hand towards Elena. She doesn't really know what to think about the turk but they had been captured together.... once. Mostly Yuffie knew that she was annoying and loud but this woman seemed a lot older than that.

It was a little hard to gage.]

[Leather is certainly an interesting look for a party. Yuffie is dressed more for a party. She’s wearing a midnight black sweater dress that falls off her shoulders and then clings to her slightly curvy form. The end of the dress seems a little short, barely pulling over her rear but she calculated for that and wore dark leggings that kept her legs completely covered. Her boots were the same, rising up to just below her knee. Her hair which now brushes against the end of her shoulder blades is pushed back with two emerald green ribbons snaking through it.

There is a glass of wine place between her fingers and a light smile curling at the curve of her lips.]
