With Rukia's help they were able to find a large enough hall in Christmas Town to throw the party. Zelda had set it for this day since a group of brave heroes were going to set out on the 24th. She had made sure that everything was perfect and of course everyone was invited. There were at least six decorated trees with polished silver and gold ornaments hanging from their branches. Scarlet red ribbons decorated the trees and tables with large bows tying the streaming trails together.

There was one very large tree at the halls center and there were a few presents around the bottom for those who needed a place to put gifts. At it's top was a large pointed star.

Champagne and small finger snacks were set on the tables and a part of the room was cleared for those who wanted to dance. Zelda was even able to hire a few people to play Christmas songs throughout the night. There was a table dedicated to sweets with cookies, cakes, small pies and other wonderful treats spread out for people to try.

Among the decorations was mistletoe. This little plant hung above the doorways waiting for any pair who happens to be caught in their hold. Most of the mistletoe was thanks to Minako but Zelda might have put up one sprig at the entrance to the party; it's all in good fun and kisses on the hand or cheek are perfectly acceptable.

[Yuna is wearing a bright red dress that suits that atmosphere of the holidays. Her usual necklace has been replaced by a silver heart looped around a thin chain which rests just over her clavicle. There is a glass of champagne between her fingers and she carefully takes a sip while watching the ambiance. It's nice and not completely unlike the Halloween party, if not for the decorations and the presents circling the bottom of the tree.

Yuna has a few there but she's tried to hand out most of her presents before then. There are a few points of the night where Yuna's position as a wall flower is conveniently under one of Minako's devious pieces of mistletoe.]

[Fai was feeling in the season and had started to wear a red hat, shirt and black trousers. He had made sure the treats he had made during the month were under the tree and had each and every heroes name on the bag.

Once he had felt like he had done what he could and spoke to some people he had gone to find someone in particular, he still had something he needed to give them after all. He soon spotted her under some mistletoe as he decided to sneak up behind her and slowly wrap his arms around her waist, kissing her on the cheek.]

Is Yuna-ella trying to sneak kisses from others this season?

[He spoke in a teasing manner as he didn't mind all that much considering.]

[Yuna's lips part as a surprised yelp falls from her lips. She looks up and then begins to flush a bright scarlet. She hadn't even known it was there.]

Ah! No... I-

[She attempts to side step out of the way of the mistletoe but Fai's arms are still comfortably placed around her hips keeping them both under the little twig of green. They've kissed before but this is far more public than Yuna is used too.]

I didn't know it was there.

You know I wouldn't have minded if you knew or not.

[He had moved to let go, having gotten the reaction he wanted for the mean time.]

Still cute that you react like that though. It's adorable~

I know.

[Yuna turns to face him willing the light surprised flush from her cheeks. Surprises were hit or miss but she liked it when the surprise came from Fai because it always makes her smile.]

Maybe I don't want to kiss anyone else.

[She tries to tease in return though her efforts aren't as skilled as Fai's]

Oh really? Not even on the cheek?

[A sly smile passed by his lips, he could always tell she when she was teasing and sometimes it worked. It just made him smile to watch her try either way. His fingers lightly grazed her cheek as he leant forward to lightly kiss her, might as well get it out of the way anyway.]

Or are you the kind that will only kiss one person, which I don't mind, but then there are so many others who I am sure would like that.

[Heat lingers of her cheek as his lips lightly brush against her skin. Her smile appears to be fixed in place as she looks up at Fai.

She'll never not blush when he's near.]

Oh?

[She watches him curiously wondering if he'll explain on that thought.]

[Fai paused for a brief moment, as he is unsure of if he should explain further or not, but he thought he might as well be nice.]

What I mean is I am sure there are many people who like you in that way. I wouldn't be surprised.

[whereishe]

[Yuna knows one person who liked her but she had more or less turned him down. Otherwise she can’t think of anyone in particular, at least anyone who likes her more than anyone else.]

Maybe but I don’t think that’s the case anymore.

[Her tone is soft and thoughtful as she turns to look up at Fai. Her gaze is steady and her eyes a little mismatched.]

Don't think? So there was at least.

[And that cat like grin is there for the moment his arms were slowly around the other again, holding her close for the mean time. At least for a couple of moments before he removed his arms, moving them to her own to hold her lightly.]

But we don't need to talk about that, we can talk about other things or even what you want to do now?

[whereishe]

[Yuna is about to stutter through a response when she feels his arms wrap around her. Her cheeks tint slightly and she's completely distracted by his next question.]

What do you want to do? We can dance?

[They've already exchanged gifts and food and drink doesn't seem as exciting.]

...Its a nice party, isn't it?

[How did Elena side up to Yuna without the woman knowing it? The answer is simple: Turk Magic.]

Does this happen very often?

[whereishe]

[Yuna just smiles seemingly unphased by her friends appearance.]

Sometimes. The host... [She glances around trying to point out the blond elf.] ...she has done this before.

At least throwing holiday parties. She did it last year too.

[Yuna hadn't been in the holiday spirit last year.]

Are you enjoying yourself? How have things been?

[She's mostly curious about Sephiroth but she won't pry for answers. Elena knows that Yuna's going to worry about her as long as they live together. She can't not after what she's seen of Elena's memories.]

[Really, she was going to have to work harder to get Yuna to react. Or, perhaps, it was a sign - and a good one - of the friendship bond they've built.]

Its a very nice thing to do for all the Heroes. With the added pressure to be this world's saviors, it's refreshing to take a moment to relax and enjoy the holiday.

[At Yuna's question, her eyes shift over to the woman at her side. Her thoughts instantly go to Sephiroth, but he hesitates to go there. Besides, she didn't know if Yuna knew they were roommates and she certainly wasn't about to share that information here. They were supposed to be having fun, weren't they.]

I can't complain. Still trying to get the lay of the land. Oh! But I did come across Reno, so that's a plus. I'm making sure I don't make the same mistakes as I did last time with him. And you?

[Yuna has come across Reno as well though she doesn’t know if Elena wants to know the detail about that. As for Elena’s roommate; Yuna does know. It isn’t so hard considering most of the heroes come and go from the same area and Sephiroth’s been living it that house for a few months by this point. Yuna had to figure out the best way to avoid it and the fact that Elena seems okay with it brothers her more than anything else. She knows what happened; she saw a glimpse into Elena’s memories and if she isn’t moving that only makes her wonder and worry about Elena’s mental state. It might not be the same person but it took months for Yuna to get over seeing him and she imagines it’s worse for the Turk.

She also realizes this is a party but considering the few times she’s been able to run into her friend she isn’t opposed to bringing it up here. There were always parties and always times to celebrate; after everything was sorted.]

I think you should complain Elena…

[Her brow furrows in concern.]

What are you think? Why do you still live there?

[Yuna won’t name names but it’s obvious to what she is referring too.]

[Jade might have paid more attention to the mistletoe if the tradition were more commonly known in Auldrant. As it is, he merely steps up to Yuna's side with a champagne glass of his own.

Yep, he's managed to avoid buying her a drink once again. It's become a game at this point.]

You seem unusually reserved today. I was expecting to see you on the dance floor by now.

[whereishe]

[Yuna looks at his drink and then resists the urge to roll her eyes. She does however smile before Jade even starts talking.]

It'd be nicer with a partner.

[She looks up at him with a smile that suggests he should ask her to dance.]

[Jade gives a good-natured chuckle at that.]

Sorry. I fear I'm not drunk enough for that just yet.

[There's your challenge for the night, Yuna. Keep him around the drinks long enough and he just might give in.]

[Yuna's grin widens.]

So I just need to hand you a few more drinks?

[It sounds like he wants her to get him drunk which will be a first for Yuna. There is a moments hesitation before she looks over at Jade again.]

It sounds like you might want to dance. [Even if it's just a little.]

Hmm... I wonder~?

[Jade's not giving a straight answer. Just smiling over his glass.]

If you're so confident, why don't you test that theory?

[whereishe]

[Yuna’s eyebrow rose and she came back with a small tray with a few shot glasses worth of drinks.]

Let’s play a game then.

[She lightly taps one of the shot glasses.]

I’m going to ask you a question and if you lie or don’t want to answer you drink. Then you ask the same of me. [Yuna’s been hanging out at bars to much.]

[Jade raises an eyebrow, more than a little amused. They're playing games now? Oh well, no harm in it... Refusing to answer doesn't have much of a consequence when he was planning to get drinks anyway.]

Well, why not? This should be interesting.

[He gestures for her to start. Ladies first.]

[The idea is to make thinking interesting which is also why Yuna's planning to ask questions Jade doesn't want to answer.]

What was your main focus of study as a scientist?

[She's seen him around the lab and it works as if it's used to it.]

[A few seconds of silence, and Jade calmly picks up a glass and takes a drink. No fomicry stories for you today, Yuna.]

This is starting off well already. [He eyes her for a while, considering his options.]

If you could go back in time to change one thing in the past, what would it be?

[whereishe]

[Yuna thinks about his question for a moment.]

I don't think I would change anything. It's hard but things have worked out for the best.

[She takes a shot anyway.]

I felt like that answer is cheating. [She smiles.] If you could talk to one person again, anyone, who would it be?
