Event || The New Year

Where: The Enterprise.
When: The Night from December 31st to January 1st.
Summary: A Ball aboard the Enterprise, for well-dressed (mostly) Heroes of Light and their friends who want to dance and (especially) eat for free.
Warning: Nothing.

While the passing from a year to another isn't as big of an event as the Starlight Celebration, it is no reason to pass up an ocasion to celebrate and have fun. There are fireworks in all major cities and various activities to enjoy. Noticeably, there are gatherings of people in Aqures Ixen and Trano Golsaucia in particular, if only to conclude what is one of the most celebrated week in the year, and wish to each other the best possible year to come-- Though most people are worried about what's to come soon. After all, the end might be nigh with the Calamity about to take over the planet...

To celebrate this, the Heroes of Light have all been invited to stay aboard the Enterprise for a particularly prestigious and animated Ball. Indeed, the Enterprise will from Aqures Ixen and go all the way to Mysidia at midnight-- This way, New Year is going to last even longer than normal thanks to the magic of timezones.

There are tables with foods for everyone to eat and of course, music for people to dance together if they so wish. There is also a consequent number of chairs lined up, for all those who refuse to dance or are too awkward to do so.

She let a sigh and looked rather defeated. "I should've known. I just hope I don't find her in the hospital wing when I get back." She still goes there weekly to see Laguna and other heroes in crystal stasis. To go there more than that would be pushing it.

"Don't worry, I'll talk to her when we're done with our things. But right now, why not stay for a bit? I don't get to talk to you as much since you're always busy helping Mary and I want to get to know you better." She gave the moogle a sincere smile. Sure there were plenty of people at the party, but Bonnie was the only one here who knew about her and Mary.

Bonnie nodded in agreement. She'd been lucky enough so far to not have to spend any time waiting for her Hero to come out of Crystal Stasis. She didn't want to start now. Or worse, for something to happen and Mary to not come back at all.

The moogle lights up a bit as Saori invites her to join her though and her wings give an extra happy wiggle as she keeps herself aloft. "Thank you, kupo. I'd like that. I wanted to get to know you better too, kupo. Mary always smiles when she talks about you."

"Does she?" Saori took a sip of her champagne. Her lightly flushed cheeks went darker and most likely not from the drink. She leaned in closer to Bonnie. "W-what sort of things? Wait, wait."
She held up her hand before she was about to ask more questions. She wasn't drunk enough to forget her manners.

"Tell me after you get yourself some food and drink first. Remind me later to save you some of my kupo nut macarons when we get back."

Bonnie was about to try to back herself out of that conversation. It wasn't her place to say what Mary had been saying about Saori. But then the other Hero had to bring up those macarons. Oh why must you tempt her with such delicious treats! Bribes! Bribes is what they are!

The moogle fluttered off, returning shortly with a small sized plate and glass of her own. She dug into her food with deep attention, brow furrowed as she seemed to take her meal with all the seriousness of a life or death task. Finally, around a mouthful of her food she murmured, "She thinks you're pretty...and kind...you remind her of someone she knew back home."
