[Oh Yuri, you have much to learn if you think she'll react the same way he did when teased in a similar manner. Instead she glanced back at him with a half-lidded look, smiiiiiiiiling.]

I made some for everybody. It's only fitting I cook a loving breakfast for my reverse harem on Valentine's Day.

[She turns back to the griddle and flips over the pancakes. Eat that, Troll Face. Where did she even learn a term like that? Probably the same place she learned all of her dating techniques.]

Oh you have a harem now huh for Valentine's Day was it?

[ He replied, smirking a bit at her retort. It was fine since he was hardly affected by the words she was saying. Of course, she was cooking but that didn't stop him from coming in and grabbing a nearby apron to join her a few moments later. ]

I didn't expect you to be the type to hoard love interests now. Man, the things you learn!

[She blinks in surprise as he moves to take up his own culinary armor.]

What are you doing? Go sit down and eat before the food gets cold. You can trust at least one meal to my care.

Hahah, is that so?

[ He replied with a loud laugh. He ignored her as he takes whatever batter she still had from the morning and started mixing it up again so he could make more for the table alongside Rukia. ]

You think this is about trust? I can't have you do all the work now, can I?

Well, that was the point of the surprise...

[She might grumble, but she'll begrudgingly allow him to take over pancake duty if that's what he truly wants.]

I thought you would sleep in a little longer, if I must be honest.

[Like, another hour or two.]

Well, not much of a surprise if you got caught in the act, Shorty.

[ He replied shrugging some. Eventually, he starts to make the fun shapes for the pancakes with the batter after he stirred them up some. ]

I'm not exactly up this early sometimes, but all the ruckus woke me up.

[ He's being sarcastic of course. ]

[Rukia stares up at him, puzzled. She knows she didn't make that much noise. It's not like mixing pancake batter requires a lot of banging around. What could cause him to rise early? Wait... Given what today is...!]

Ah! Today you meet with your secret lover! I understand your enthusiasm now.

[She nods sagely, and shoots him a thumbs up.]

[ He didn't have anyone to see in the morning and Yuri usually was up but he was too lazy to do much until later. However, Rukia's teasing only made him roll his eyes some at the comment. ]

Right because I have time to be a womanizer.

[ He shrugs before putting more pancakes into the pan and taking some of the ones that were cooked. ]

Say, we got any fruit left?

[It's an interesting reaction, she notes. Come to think of it, he's never shown much interest in anybody, not in a romantic sense. He's the best friend a person could hope for, but she remembers how quick he was to jerk back when they accidentally kissed. Maybe he just doesn't like the idea of being in love? That's unusual in a human, but he really does seem comfortable with bachelorhood.]

Bananas and raspberries, I believe. Do you want to eat them, or cook with them?

[ Rukia shouldn't be taking notes. That's kind of creepy girl, creepy. Either way, Yuri doesn't really care. At least, Rukia knew how he was. He wasn't talking about that awkward peck they shared. Even he had enough dignity to not bring that up again for the both of them. ]

I'm going to top the pancakes with them and whipped cream if we still have a bottle. I was thinking of simmering some for jam as well.

[ He replied giving her a look. ]

Think you can cut them to bite size pieces and I'll go make the jam?

[If she were taking notes, there would be a picture of Bunny Yuri. That hadn't happened.]

You know how to make jam?

[Even Rukia doesn't know how to can anything, that's an impressive skill. She nods. She's an expert in handling a chef's knife, she can claim that much.]

That does sound good. Very well, leave the fruit to me.

[The raspberries are already bite-sized, so she peels the bananas and begins to cut them into small, sweet chunks.]

[ Either way he doesn't care. He's trying to help her learn new things. It would be nice to have more people be able to cook than just him, not that he minds the cooking in all honestly. ]

Mostly. I haven't tried it a lot of times, but we couldn't exactly carry a jar of jam around when we travel you know?

[ He replied as he continued to heat up the pot and throwing some of the berries in them while mixing it with sugar and water. Letting it simmer some should do. ]

Once you're done cutting them, use half of them for the pot and the other half for the pancakes.

[ He gestured as she said that. ] We'll use the bananas for the pancakes.

[She finds herself easily relaxing as they work together in the kitchen. Rukia truly does enjoy cooking, but especially when making the recipe with a friend. It doesn't hurt that Yuri knows what he's doing, and she studies him closely to see how he makes the jam so she can someday do the same.]

[When they've finished, she steps back to admire their handiwork, her arms folded proudly.]

This looks good. Shall we call in the others to eat?

That's what I want to hear.

[ He replied with a laugh at her comment. Eventually they were pretty much good to go in a matter of a a few hours or something similar. Yuri with the help of Rukia added a lot of extra toppings to the pancakes topped with whipped cream and other types of things that people would have for breakfast ]

[ He pulled the apron off and put to the side. ]

Yeah go do that, I'll finish setting the tables.
