[His reward for provocation is a friendly but none-too-gentle elbow thrust into his side. Screw things up indeed, who does he think she is? Flynn? Other than that, she ignores his remark and loops her trusty Fat Chocobo apron over her neck.]

Hmph, who said it was a big deal? I prefer to cook dishes that my friends prefer. I'm aware that Raven is rather picky.

[And yet she keeps making sweets anyway, so clearly she's not as aware as she thinks she is.]

[ The thrust to the side was easily blocked by his arm so that he didn't have any lasting bruises for that. He thinks a lot of things about her. She really didn't want to know how awful he can be to be honest. ]

Then you can observe and figure out what I like. How about that?

[ He starts grabbing a carton of eggs and other things from their newly installed refrigerator and tosses a few cucumbers along with other vegetables at her. Then he added some tomatoes and onions as well. ]

Get the cutting board and started dicing all of this. I'll get started on beating the eggs.

[ He glanced around for milk, so he could make the eggs a little fluffier. ]

I won't learn a thing if you're only making what I like.

[She'll just have to observe later as best she can, and ask everyone else what they happen to like so she can narrow it down. Otherwise she'll confuse his tastes for Flynn's or Raven's.]

[She pulls the cutting board out from under the countertop, picking up a chef's knife and testing the edge with her thumb before eyeing the vegetables. How would cucumbers taste with eggs? It seems like a strange combination. Maybe she can just make them a side dish and slice them thin enough not to be chunky, but thick enough to be crisp. She goes for the onions, holding her breath. They're going to make her eyes water, so best to get that out of the way first.]

What should we do with the basement?

Like I said, don't worry about it.

[ He's going to finish the prep work and gather some more ingredients before tossing some butter into the pan over the stove. He figured he'd heat it up while they mince the stuff that goes in it. He grabs some other cooked meats that they hand started to cut them up as well. These omelets will definitely be hearty for a group of hard working warriors. ]

The basement? Not sure. You all can use it for whatever you want. I don't care too much.

I can think of a few uses. Storage, for one. It could also be outfitted as a small training area. Or perhaps we could arrange it into an extra sleeping quarters, should we need to house others. Or have a slumber party!

[Rukia certainly enjoyed the one she'd shared with Zelda, having a house slumber party could be a lot of fun.]

We could make a couch fort and play truth or dare!

You can make it whatever you want as long as the other two don't care about what it turns out to be.

[ He replied with a shrug. Rukia certainly had a wild imagination. Not that it surprised Yuri that she did. Rukia would always be her energetic and active self. The girl could come up with the craziest ideas on a whim. ]

Just make sure I'm not part of any of the slumber parties if you're holding them.

[ He replied giving her a flat look. ]

Nervous isn't really part of the reason.

How would I know what's changing your feelings if you don't want to talk about your feelings to begin with?

[Mumble grumble. Seriously, why must he dismiss all of her awesome ideas? Should she even ask what the reason is if he's going to keep on being vague and evasive?]

[Rukia watches him go. He doesn't realize it yet, but he just opened a door that should have stayed locked. Ways to convince him to joion? SHE WILL FIND ONE.]
