Summary: Thanks to the Heroes who explored the sewers, a secret area under Palitutu's laboratory was discovered and is now accessible through an elevator! What secrets could Palitutu have left behind? Let's go look...

[The lab seems to be a mixture of Aqurean, Heran and Ancient technology and is designed identically to Palitutu's old room in the Temple of Fire. There are several points of interest to be investigated...]

It wasn't what most people would think would draw his attention, but the labs were not likely to be Vincent's favorite place. He'd come anyways; curiosity and trying to start making sense of things when all Heroes had too many puzzles. The photos in a hardly-decorated work space stood out to him as incongruous then.

One could learn a lot about a person by their desk and work-surroundings.

Moving to examine the photos, Vincent stared at them for a while before picking up the one of Biggs, Wedge and the Queen. Turning the frame over, examining--was there a way to remove the photos and search for a date? Not to mention photographs were not common in this world, so how had she gotten these?

A particular curl of unease wasn't so far underneath Sephiroth's facade, either, at stepping into any such clinical room. He's got a lot better recently, considering he has spent more time in the labs upstairs than he did before. Not only with the development of his custom job, but then there was the cure he helped the research for...

He delivered Vincent a careful, long look as one of the frames was picked up, deciding to take up for himself the one he didn't quite get. The Hypello. Sephiroth didn't turn it over or look for a date though, he frowned as he looked at the picture; it's as if it should be someone they know...but yet don't.

Might have to break some frames here...

Nothing was obviously yielding itself to be a 'date' on the picture Vincent had picked up, so he placed it back. Moving to give the others a cursory examination too--and there seemed no easy way to get the pictures out of the frame. Time to be messy then, as he took up the first picture, Palitutu and Artimecion, and started carefully trying to break the frame without damaging the photo inside.

[OOC: The pictures might be time-stamped at least. They might also have names on them, and dates, more obviously.]

It didn't take long before Sephiroth put the picture of the Hypello back down, perfectly and exactly where it had been standing a moment ago. He didn't think, that Palitutu would be coming back here but that wasn't any excuse to leave more of a mess than they needed to.

Green eyes had rested on the same picture that Vincent then went to pick up and Sephiroth followed the movement up and then to Vincent's face. Eyebrows furrowed together inquisitively as he wondered what the other man was planning. It didn't take him long to figure out-

"Are you sure that's really necessary?"

We might need a Mod-call on this?

Crimson eyes slide to Sephiroth, silently asking 'what was the problem' before he focused back on breaking the frame open, without damaging the picture inside. Once he had one photograph free, he'd move on to the next frame.

"Do you know a better way to find out a timeline for these?"

Sadly, there were no dates or anything else written on the pictures. They could see that Palitutu herself didn't change much between each photo, but the lack of obvious aging could be chalked up to her being a Tarutaru.

Now that Vincent and he have moved the frames around it's not possible to see the natural arrangement, either. Pictures that got looked at more often perhaps would be stood nearer to the front whereas those less significant and/or unimportant to Palitutu might be towards the back. That said the theory of random in the universe could apply just as easily.

Sephiroth took a step back to look over those that hadn't yet been touched, before reaching to take the eldest picture of Garland. Having met the once-knight in Aqures Tosf it doesn't take him very long to make the connection.

"-I wonder why the pictures stop with this one."

Vincent wondered as well, but he was also wondering moreover why she had photos, in what otherwise was such a clinical space. What did it say about her and why THESE were important?

"That's one of a few questions I have about these."

"We're not going to get the clear answer."

Which was true enough, unless Palitutu were going to be here herself and explain it to all of them. Damn unlikely. So it's up to them to figure it all out and hashing out possibilities would only be the first step for that. Even then, they might be wrong.

"So where did Garland go, do you think, when he left Palitutu's company? Since as far as we know Palitutu isn't a presence that was repeated in previous cycles so it has to be within this lifetime....

"What happened in those years between this photo, and Aqures Tosf..."
