Summary: Thanks to the Heroes who explored the sewers, a secret area under Palitutu's laboratory was discovered and is now accessible through an elevator! What secrets could Palitutu have left behind? Let's go look...

[The lab seems to be a mixture of Aqurean, Heran and Ancient technology and is designed identically to Palitutu's old room in the Temple of Fire. There are several points of interest to be investigated...]

Sealed Doors

"See if you can't get in there to rig the internal lock-"

Next movement and Sephiroth stepped in close to the door again, taking a breath as he inserts his own sword to the small space Cloud had created but from a different angle. He knows how strong the steel is that his sword is made from but even the smallest notion that it might damage it even slightly was enough to make his insides turn uncomfortably.

Here's for trying to lever the door open a little more, as Sephiroth started to apply his own strength to the maneuver-

"You can do it Yuffie, I believe in you." He grunted as he gave the sword another push, working with Sephiroth to keep it from slamming shut. "Just don't screw up again."

Against all good judgement he planted his boot in the gap as well, leaning back and almost putting himself horizontal as he pushed.

He's not wrong

Yuffie moved as Sephiroth instructed, working to make her way towards the internal lock of the door. She's small and flexible and was able to maneuver her way into position before she began to work.

"I'm working, I'm working."

This was something she knew very well. "Your vote of confidence is overwhelming." Her tone was stressed as she worked but she slowly made way with the lock.

There were some ominous sounds that suggested someone was about to get squished -- but, thankfully, Yuffie wasn't lying about her lock-picking skills. A few heart-pounding seconds later the locking mechanism was released and the door slid open so abruptly that someone was likely to make a rather ungraceful tumble into the containment room.

But hey, at least the door was open. And there was the prize -- a white Magitek Armor, a bit tougher and more powerful than any they'd seen before, up for grabs.

Every time there was one of those ominous sounds Sephiroth's grip tightened around his sword, his muscles flexed and he spread his stance more, as if needing to reinforce his helping-hold on keeping the door from slamming closed and literally squishing Yuffie. He was reliant on Cloud as well; a sweat starting to break a little at that realization. If the blond were to buckle, they'd lose it for sure.

Despite the banter, however, a few tense breaths -along with a few displeased grunts- later the large doors quickly released. It wouldn't make him tumble, but he sure had to think fast as Masamune's edge was also suddenly released and quite likely missed Yuffie's head by a hairs-breadth as Sephiroth reacted immediately to twist the keen edge down and away from harming anyone.

Cloud grit his teeth through the sounds. It was dumb perhaps, but he was going to hold on all the way through to the last second if he could help it. And then, just as he was about to give up hope, he felt the door give. He tumbled to the ground, unable to halt his own strength in time.

Looking up from his seat on the ground he gaped at the machine before him. For a moment he flashed back to when Deweg had killed him in their fight. He had taken the armor's boot to the chest and retaliated with a meteor swarm that had managed to take the armor down with him. And did some serious damage to the man to boot.

And then as his heartbeat slowed he grinned wide, taking in the sight before him. This was his. This was going to be his new weapon. "Hah...thanks for the gift, Palitutu."
