Summary: The long-awaited meeting with Palitutu! This post will be updated as things evolve and will lead into the main event for the second Anniversary, Revelations. According to the predictions of a certain Heroes of Light, Ultima WEAPON shall be fought during the meeting, better be prepared. Trying to avoid the meeting is a bad idea, as Palitutu mentioned she will use that very WEAPON to destroy Aqures Ixen if the Heroes feel cowardly.

Aaaaaaand of course, Rialynn's attention zeroed right in on his instrument. She tipped her head, curious. It looked like an accordion, but the buttons were slightly different. "Hey, this is new, isn't it?" She pointed at it, lifting her gaze to look at his hardened face curiously.

Oh, er... Maybe she was ruining his focus. Rialynn straightened quickly and cleared her throat. "Well, I guess we can talk about it afterward."

Even if she really, really could use the distraction to keep from yanking on her bandanna or tapping her foot anxiously.

It did break his concentration, judging by the usual neutral expression that returned to his face. Curious to what she was pointing out, Duster turned to her before remembering what he was carrying.

"Oh, this?" He hadn't gone around showing it to everyone while he was still learning. Today was the first time it would see battle. "It's a concertina. I bought it while I was traveling to Bacilea after...all that."

Duster's voice trailed off. Like Rialynn, he was puppeted by Narasimha to kill the people he cared about, but Santa and Jack came back. Zelda was one of the first people he met in Crystallis and bought his ocarina, but Rialynn did not deserve to know how badly her death affected Duster.

"...Anyway, it's good to see you again. The past month was really busy for me." A lopsided smile for her, for encouragement.

"Oh. Yeah." Rialynn laughed uneasily, but her weak smile was nonetheless very sincere. His kind words were a soothing balm to her troubled soul. Little by little, she was realizing that her friends didn't hate her, or resent her for what happened. It made it a little easier to stand her ground, and she felt more confident about participating in this fight. "I can imagine. Balicea's a nice place too. It sounds like the perfect place to rest and heal."

Except for the crabs. She could do without the crabs.

"When this is over, we should perform together, you know?" She was looking into the distance, but glanced at Duster with a brief flick of a smile. "A real duet, in front of paying customers and everything. I think it might be good for us."

Crabs didn't have much meat on them, but they were delicious. Duster loved the summer festival, as those living by the ocean caught and prepared crabs for the rest of the village.

"That, and some good food. We'll have deserved it." He smiled as he imagined the whole group relaxing after a triumphant victory. There was no doubt in his mind that Palitutu would use her new tool against them as a display of power, and he was ready for a fight.

No. Crabs can go straight to hell, back where they came from.

"I can't even think about food right now," Rialynn admitted, chuckling. If she hadn't been in a couple of battles prior to coming to this world, she probably would have thrown up from sheer anxiety. But she'd traded blows with the occasional monster and felt as prepared as she could be for whatever came next. "But you're right. It's been a long time since we celebrated with a good feast." She tapped the butt of her fiddle against his concertina in a sort of makeshift high five.

"Let's do it."

Duster spun his spear and stuck the staff end to the ground. Rialynn is in a good mood, and that means he's in a good mood. They all have each other to rely on, and they're not doing this alone.

"Let's do it."
