Things were growing desperate. It seemed like everyone was ready for the fight and yet there was still so much to do. For Ruby, she decided to visit those still in Crystal Stasis. They all seemed peaceful in those states, and yet it seemed so unfair for them to be stuck in there. She let out a sigh as she approached one and looked it over.

"I hope they can come free after we win. It wouldn't be right to save everything and they couldn't come back." she said to herself. She looked around a bit before letting out a small sigh.

"Heh, well... here we are. We're, like, two weeks or so before the big fight." she said, talking to the crystals. "It's, well... a little frightening. Everything's hinging on us and... well... I'm sure we'll do good. I mean, we have so many heroes with us!"

A) Animals! Tons of animals!

Ruby kinda lost track as to when she ended up with so many animals. Or, well, three is a lot for her. She came with Zwei, captured her raptor Monty and, for Christmas, got another corgi! It's probably why her pony roomie ran off elsewhere. Must be allergic or something. Either way, Ruby was busy having fun with her collection of pets.

"Who's a good boy? Huh? Who's a good boy? You all are!" Ruby cooed, the corgis panting happily and wagging their tails as the raptor laid elsewhere, trying to ignore them all. It only tolerated them and didn't eat them all because of Ruby.

B) Monster Fighting

"YAAAAAAGH!"

Ruby had been getting stronger recently - five jobs had been maxed out and she was working on a sixth. And with things heating up, Ruby knew that things had to be taken care of quickly. For this instance, she was busy taking care of a Crystal Sahagin. It was one of the many monsters that the Monster Colosseum owner wanted and she would get it for him.

Thankfully, a water creature like it would be a little more weaker against someone who utilized physical attacks, even if the person also used fire to attack.

Granted, they were also Crystal formed, so they were much stronger.

"Why don't you go down?!" Ruby shouted, her Master Firebender form roaring as she pummeled the beast before it knocked her back with its trident.

[Anyone approaching the Observatory can smell the meeting long before they enter the building. Mordecai and Ellena worked hard the past several days cooking dishes for the Heroes and any guests they brought, resulting in a tiring contests of who could cook the most.

Dishes from Mars. Dishes from Ellana's world. Pastries. Any snack the two of them could find the recipe for. If there were some people that were unsure whether to come to the meeting or not, free food is the strongest argument.

The largest meeting room is prepared with tables and chairs for everyone to sit down, with sofas lining the sides. When everyone settles down and grabs a plate, Mordecai steps onto an area at the end of the room devoid of tables and chairs.]

Alright, alright. We got food in our stomachs, so it's about time we get this started.

Now, we all know why we're here. Palitutu's comin' in less than a month, and we still need to come up with a plan of attack. Seein' how big this team grew, there's gonna be a wide differences in opinions. Last thing we need is all of us disagreein' on what to do at the last minute.

We have plenty of reason to believe that she's not gonna listen to anythin' we say and kill us at the start, so we'll need to prepare our openin' move. There's plenty of ways to fight a WEAPON, but we gotta work together to do it in an efficient manner.

Those who were awake early in the morning would be greeted to a sight.

First off is the large glowing swirl of smoke in the sky in the housing district. This would be followed by the rush of heat and wind as a massive set of boulders fell from the sky. There's a moment of silence before the impact.

And then, it happened.

Smoke billowed from the impact as some reckless fool had cast not one but two meteor spells outside the gate.

And in the middle of it there's a tiny girl in her jammies laughing her head off like a tiny tarutaru would.

"OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO! Do it again, do it again! Man, I love this!"

"Oh yeah, she's snapped," deadpanned Coffret as he turned towards Kuplo Kopp and the Chocobo Coupe-sama. "Can you two do that again?"

"Clearly yes," said Kuplo Kopp.

"Kweh," agreed Coupe-sama.

"This is fine," said Coffret. "Just, cast it again. I don't think that training dummy died properly."

Irresponsible actions aside, anyone awake would be buffered by the explosions rolling through the district.

Ruby, for the most part, had been on something of an autopilot for the past month. Between watching friends and family turn into crystal and disappearing and then watching that video and being told "Hey, want to save the world? Kill everyone and become a God!", Ruby was feeling a little on the lost side. In her little autopilot wanderings, Ruby just so happened to pass by the new clothing store that just opened up...

What: A log for everyone to gain the information in the Hidden Truth video tape.
Where: The Observatory.

There had been a flurry of letters sent out from Jack and Chiaki, first to Zelda to ask to borrow the Observatory, and then to every Hero of Light, alerting them that they had uncovered some intelligence received in the Heran Empire before the Capital had fallen to Crystal, and that everyone needed to see it immediately.

Jack, Chiaki, and a few others brought in a screen connected to a machine that some would recognize as a VCR. "With our peace mission to the Imperial Capital over Christmas, we returned with a recording made on 20th-century Earth technology, the kind that doesn't have an analogue on Crystallis. It took us time to build a machine to be able to play it. This information comes from Kalki, recorded what appears to be years ago. We obtained it from the Imperial Spy, Jenni. As of right now, we still have no reason to believe that Kalki is alive. But this comes from her, and I apologize to everyone who might be upset by seeing her again."

With that, Jack plays the recording. He stands by the screen and repeats the words for everyone to hear, for those who cannot understand English. Since Kalki's first words are to explain why she is recording it this way, it makes sense why he has to do this. He keeps his own emotions in check throughout, until the explanation of the Bard song that everyone gets to hear. That seems to upset Jack.

Once the recording is over, Jack pauses. "We will need some help from any other English speakers to create a written transcript of the recording so that anyone can access this information at any time. The tape and player will remain here for any Heroes to review. We ask that you please be careful with the machine."

Finally, Jack sits down to let the room descend into the inevitable chaos.

If there was one bad thing about poor Ruby, it's that she's very hyperactive and rarely thinks before acting. Which is probably why she decided to go on this grand adventure to battle a gigantic Tonberry. Her only excuse for doing this? Rescuing the lost puppy. Her heart sank finding out about this and, making sure her raptor was back home and watching Zwei, went off to fight the beast and save the dog.

Now her second question was why her so-called Galactic Knight job gave her such awkward armor?

"I feel like I'm in a video game." Ruby asked, trying to move around in her teal armor, her voice coming out quite static-y. "Do we have any idea where this monster is?"

What: It's Valentine's Day, and there are matchmaking notices everywhere. Here's an open log for one and all to post their shenanigans, meet ups, freak outs, and whatever else they're going to do about this.

Warnings: Ridiculousness.

[Plastering the city are notices matching up all of the Heroes of Light with one another, both the best and the worst. Moogles are having a grand old time handing them out and hanging them up, and are encouraging Heroes to speak with their top matches.

Naturally, reactions to this are mixed. Some Heroes are intrigued, some annoyed, some offended. Despite their feelings or misgivings, the rest of the city is still celebrating Valentine's Day as well, and now the thoughts of love are everywhere.
