Bust-ing Out!

Characters: Yuffie Kisaragi
Where: Aqures Ixen
When: Late December 19th to December 20th
Summary: Yuffie is waking up from crystal stasis and more than just a few changes occurred. The cute little thief is now 17..
Warning: Some language and sexual humor~

Waking: Dec. 19th close to midnight

I was dreaming?

The crystal slowly began to break apart and disappear as Yuffie's eyes fluttered open. Her heart was racing as her nightmare came to an end. Her hand reached out grabbing at air as fresh tears streaked down her cheeks. Her throat tightened as a name trickled from her lips. "Yuri.."

She let her arm fall to the side as she remembered memories home. Her hands grabbed her head as she brought her knees to her chest. "Why is this so confusing!?" Those she knew here and those she knew from home. She unclenched her hand and looked at the white orb resting in her palm. It was real but it felt like she never left.

Wait.. Her eyes looked down at her chest. Things have certainly changed.

City: Dec. 20th morning

Yuffie wouldn't say she was adjusted but she wasn't going to spend her time mulling it over in a hospital room. It didn't surprise her that Mooshoo wasn't anywhere in sight and she was sure that he would eventually learn that she was back and come find her. He probably hadn't missed her anyway.

She walked through the city noting her two years of physical development. Would people recognize her? She was still the same height as before but her chest grew two sizes, and her eyes held the gaze of someone who has seen the passing seasons of war. Her hands went out and distinctly grabbed at her chest. She had to tell someone!

A lot had happened in the two years that Yuffie had spent returned to their World. Sephiroth was not yet at the point where the final straw would topple the delicate house of cards that would become what was left of his sanity. Not that Yuffie would know it, but the seeds were already well-sown and the events in that forest hadn't helped at all. Hence the escape from the other Heroes for a while, retreating into a world he knew all too well- that of a soldier in the field.

Still, she was still mostly the same selfish teenager she was when she had left. Sephiroth didn't care to point that out though, he wasn't in the mood to bait Yuffie like he had before. Maybe that in itself was an unconscious side-effect of the fact she had aged. Maybe he was just tired of the confrontation.

"Two years later and you still think so?" He replied with a rather casual tone, almost as if he were dismissing the idea out of hand.

Had it been anyone else Sephiroth might well have been concerned over the 'knowing for sure' but in Yuffie's case that worry was redundant. She never would have a particularly bright perception of him considering what he had done in Wutai and he was under no illusion that there would be any way he could change that. There could have been a resurgence of conflict in the region for all he knew? The War was only just being brought to a conclusion.

More pain and loss for Yuffie and her people. He didn't like that thought but such was the consequence of War. If only Godo had been more accommodating- those thoughts were quickly dropped as he found his gaze caught by the still so-much smaller girl.

"I've got some business to attend to in the 7th District later. Don't worry- with any luck I won't be sticking around."

Considering the amount of thought that Sephiroth generally put into things, he never did regret anything that he had set his mind to. Or at least it wasn't a habit he was into very much; failure and mistakes weren't something that sat well with him. His highly strung attitude was only one of the many contributing factors that may eventually break him the way that he had snapped by Yuffie's timeline back home.

It never had been so complicated before Genesis' defection.

The harsh tone, though, instantly shot eyebrows up as Sephiroth turned to watch the ninja princess as she strode away. He wondered what he could have possibly done to have deserved such a rebuke - he hadn't even been in Aqures for the whole month pretty much. Not to mention he was working at what he considered to be an adequate contribution to their situation here; he wondered what she thought - if he'd been sat on a hot beach somewhere all this time?

It wasn't in his nature to go chasing after an answer that may well not exist though and so Sephiroth let Yuffie go, proceeding on his route back to the House on his own. Spencer lingered behind for a few beats longer, watching her head off as equally confused as his Hero had been.
