[OPEN] An easy quest...
Characters: Ib and open
Where: The history museum
When: April 11th
Summary: Ib has been given a quest to get a new job. It's a simple one, but...
Warnings: None
[Ib is sitting on the steps in front of the history museum, a letter in her hand and a covered painting next to her. She's eying it somewhat warily. Rose is nowhere to be seen. Ib had wanted to do this quest all on her own, but now she's wishing that her moogle had come along.
It should be easy. Just deliver this painting to Jessie. It is easy. It's such a silly thing to be nervous about. The gallery... that was a long time ago. And it wasn't even in this world. Except... this world has a lot more magic and monsters than hers ever did.
She wonders if she should peek. Maybe if she saw the painting she'd feel better. Or maybe worse. Maybe she should ask someone for help? No, they'd only laugh. They'd think she was just a scared little kid. And she's worked hard to seem more grown up. So here she is, uncertainly glancing at the painting next to her.]

Zelda smiles moving to stand next to Ib on the steps.]
What are you up too?
[Her eyes flick over to the painting.]
Looks like your moving something fragile. Maybe I could help?
no subject
[She nods at the painting.]
I think she was trying to be nice by giving me an easy one.
[Because it is easy. She knows that. And its such a dumb thing to be nervous about. Paintings aren't scary. And yet... she can still remember with absolute clarity the first time the Lady in Red clawed it's way off of the wall to tear her apart. Or those liar paintings slicing each other up. She remembers having to get past the Lady in Blue to get Garry's rose back. And also.... Mary.
An involuntary shudder goes through her. No, paintings are very scary when they want to be.]

How about I walk with you? It's a nice day out and I was taking a walk anyway. I'd love the company.
[It is a simple thing but then it's all Zelda can really do.]
no subject
Okay!
[That probably sounded a little too enthusiastic. She flushes in embarrassment.]
I mean, if you want...
no subject
Of course.
[She waits for Ib to grab the painting and then she begins walking towards Jessie's lab assuming that is Ib's destination.]
How have you been? I'm glad to see you have recovered.
no subject
[She picks up the painting gingerly, as though she half expects it to bite, and falls into step with Zelda.]
I've been good. You really helped me out a lot when I was sick.
no subject
I'm glad. I have other remedies as well. Should you feel ill again come see me. I might be able to stop it from getting so bad.
[Zelda Laughs softly.]
Though they don't all taste to good.
no subject
I guess. But why can't they just make medicine that tastes good?
no subject
[Zelda laughs softly.]
If it doesn't taste good then it's not good for you.
[At least that's what her mother has told her.]
no subject
Or figure out how to make stuff that tastes good healthy.
[Either way it works for her. Although she can't really think of a way to make cookies or candy good for you.
no subject
[Even as a child Zelda had never minded the weird tastes of medicine of foods. It keeps her strong and so she's learned to live it over time. Of course she has a talent for making sweet breads even those are bland compared to cakes and deserts.]
You carrying the painting alright?
[It looks large and cumbersome in Ib's arms.]
no subject
It's a little heavy, but I can handle it.
[It would be easier if she wasn't holding it as if it were some sort of bomb.]
no subject
Well I think we are almost there.
[She points over towards the building that Jessie uses as her lab. She hasn't been told where they are going per-say but it is a far assumption.]
It's close.
no subject
[Ib's relief is palpable as the lab comes into view. She speeds up her pace just a little.]
I hope she's there.
no subject
[Zelda has been to the lab before and while it wasn't the best visit she knew it well now. Her pace matches Ib's as they approach the building.]
no subject
H- hello? Is anyone there?
no subject
Yes? Oh! The painting!?
[He seems to flutter around calling to others to take the picture from Ib's palms. Zelda smiles watching the young girl but staying just outside of the building. It is Ib's mission after all.]
[ooc: Hope it's okay that I tossed a research moogle in there. >.<]
no subject
[Ib is very glad to be rid of the painting. And it only takes a few minutes for them to modify her crystal to include the job she was promised. Ib thanks the moogles and heads back out to join Zelda. Her steps are lighter and her smile is brighter now.]
I did it. They gave me the job too.
[She holds up her rose-shaped crystal as though jobs were visible within it.]
no subject
[Zelda's smile is wide as she begins to walk forward.]
I'm glad Jessie isn't being to unreasonable with these job requests.
[Though Zelda had to run around for a few days for one of them.]
Would you like to keep walking? I need to run by the shops.
no subject
Yeah, she could have given me something a lot harder.
[Jessie couldn't have known about Ib's 'unusual' history with artwork. She cheerfully falls into step with Zelda.]
Sure! What are you buying?
no subject
[It isn't much but she wants to create a place where the heroes can relax and have fun. She knows they have things to do but they also had to keep their spirits up.]
If they have some you can help me pick out the colors.
no subject
[Now that has her excited.]
Can we plant roses?
no subject
[She's excited to get the garden together and she hopes the heroes like it too. Link has already started to build picnic tables per her request.]
no subject
[She'll be disappointed when she discovers that blue roses aren't actually a thing..]
And when the garden is ready, we can have a party! A fancy one where we all dress up.
[She's heard the phrase 'garden party' before, but doesn't actually know what one is. But she imagines something like an outside formal ball.]
no subject
That sounds like fun. What would be have at such a party?
[There must be food and refreshments.]
