Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! What: Catching up, talking about the past, and the foreseeable future.
Where: Aboard the Chasing Joy Mk. II., formerly known as the Flying Dutchman.
When: Three days before April's event.
Warnings: Language, goofiness, possible feels.

The rise and fall of the ship in the shallow waves that approached the shore made for a relaxing rhythm, the sort of cradling that could lull a man to sleep if he were not careful. Like many of the pirate's mid-days, Luffy had taken to sitting atop the front of his boat while looking out beyond the crested waves that drew closer and closer with every passing minute. His eyes remained wide and open, looking out into the prospects of the ocean as thoughts flitted out of his head and into the sky above like gulls retreating with snatched refuse.

He'd put the Queen out of his thoughts, even with shouting the promise that he'd find her so many weeks ago in the company of his good friend Jack. This sort of stillness, this uneventful life, never sat well with him. The calm before the storm; knowing that when things had set to a plateau there was surely something approaching over the horizon. Again he watched the waves come in, seeing them become larger as the day went on, crashing and spreading foam and spraying salt alike along the side of the boat.

His chin found solace in the open hand that kept it propped up, his eyes looking out past the brim of his hat as it hid the Sun from his sight. The waves grew larger still, the wind pushing them along as if to rush them closer to the shore like a Mother doting children out the door, not wanting to waste a moment perchance they miss their ride. By now he had only been able to focus on the waves, the impending crash and echo before a silent reprieve to ease his ears, just before another crash transitioned into an echo.

Something would be coming soon. It had always been this way, since his arriving here in Aquares Ixen.

"Are you sure? It seems pretty vague to me" said the chubby moogle now plotting across the wooden deck towards his companion. "I'll send it if you want, but the last thing I think you should do is make them worry, don't you?"

"Aye.. They'll understand." Luffy plucked the straw hat from his head and gave it a shake, letting the hat and the top of his head breathe for a moment. "Usually I'd bother Bloom about this sort of thing but-"

Pakku raises a paw, holding the three sealed envelopes against his rotund stomach while a bright smile flashes across his maw. "No need to explain! Believe me, I know."

Luffy turned, giving his friend a nod of his head. Without words, he speaks to the moogle with his eyes, a moment of silence before the moogle nods in return. Spinning on his cushioned feet, the moogle turns about and flutters off with the pattering of his wings carrying over the small harbor.

Inside each letter, addressed to each girl individually, reads the following:

Meet me at the Chasing Joy as soon as you can. It's been too long since we've talked. About the past, being imprisoned, and what might happen next. See you soon. -- MDL

[Luffy:]

Once Jack comes out of the Crystal Stasis, it doesn't take him long to figure out what's happened. The vortex manipulator now reads the "right" date again. City destroyed, them, what, removed from time?

Jack sighs deeply, and the first person he approaches is Luffy. He slides the treasured straw hat off his head and offers it over.

"Well. That didn't work."

Pause.

"You owe me a new sword, you know."

There is a principle at work here, one that Jack swears used to even be in the Torchwood handbook. Everything has gone wrong: somehow Jack's partly to blame.

This isn't a surprise or even something that is a problem. But Jack will wait for his fellow Heroes to come to him. They'll be expecting answers, either on the stunt he pulled at the Temple, or on what has happened to them, now. He had the answers last time, didn't he? In the meantime, though, there's a laboratory, no, a whole island to explore. Twenty eight years. How much has changed?

Jade found himself a quiet table and sat down with a cider. Rosepuff was out on Mognet duty, leaving him with a moment of peace for once -- and after several weeks' work in the army, the bewildering dream, and Sephiroth's little stunt, a drink in one of the calmer taverns of the city was a welcome change of pace. Some patrons recognized the Hero and called out greetings, but for the most part Jade was left to his devices.

There were a number of errands to run before he returned to Esdham -- checking in with a few allies chief among them -- but for now, they could wait.

It should be easy. Just deliver this painting to Jessie. It is easy. It's such a silly thing to be nervous about. The gallery... that was a long time ago. And it wasn't even in this world. Except... this world has a lot more magic and monsters than hers ever did.

She wonders if she should peek. Maybe if she saw the painting she'd feel better. Or maybe worse. Maybe she should ask someone for help? No, they'd only laugh. They'd think she was just a scared little kid. And she's worked hard to seem more grown up. So here she is, uncertainly glancing at the painting next to her.]
