Moving On
Characters: Link and Zelda
Where: Zelda's House
When: Backdated to just before things began with the Shopkeeper's Daughter
Summary: Considering that they'd lived in rooms side-by-side for years in the academy, it makes sense for the two of them to share a house.. right?
Warnings: The sort of fluff that makes marshmallows look like mud. Might need an insulin shot after this.
Link had been spending a great deal of his time with Zelda since arriving in this strange new world. Finally having the time to sit and discuss with her, many of their days had been spent reminiscing over their home, how she'd fallen from the sky and met Impa, as well as all the fantastical things that Link had experienced and encountered. Stories of monsters and fights with steel and shield made for good conversation over lunch and dinner, yet it wasn't the stories that kept Link coming back to her.
They'd been sitting with one another like any other day, laughing back and forth while catching themselves staring at one another. It was something that Link had been deliberating for a few days, wondering it it would be too forward an idea. Given how long they've known one another, and the circumstances of their lives in Hyrule, it would be best for them to remain as close as possible.

Giving the back of his neck a scratch, the sort of anxious tick he was known for doing in moments such as these, Link spoke with a bit of a rattle to his voice. It's a bit unsteady, the sort of nervousness that came from proposing such a grand idea.
"So.. I've been thinking about something. Er-.. Well, more like a "when thing" than a "some thing".

And the laziness begins.

"Here. This is your home too." She tossed the key at him with a smile. Zelda didn't ever lock the house when she was home but it felt like giving him the key made things official.

"I'll make sure to not lose it. Thanks.."
Though he carries his composure as he walks to the door, the minute he's outside and the entrance is shut behind him, the young Skyloftian begins to jump with excitement as his face stretches into a grin from ear to ear.
