Intro Log || The City That Never Sleeps

Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Trano Golsaucia, Aqures Ixen, Airships.
When: The 5th of May. The new Heroes of Light will awaken early in the morning.
Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken in the Temple of Wind next to Trano Golsaucia, and they are informed by their assigned Moogles of what the situation and what their destinies are. This a log for them to react to the situation, meet each other and be welcomed by the former batches of Heroes of Light.
Warning: N/A

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within a split second, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had are now gone. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you...

And at this very moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:

"Wake up."

Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by a gentle breeze. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call once more, but is soon replaced by a much less graceful "Wake up, Kupo!" Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally bring you back to your senses. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Wind, in the Temple located right outside of a city called Trano Golsaucia. At this point, you may realize the breeze originates from the massive green Crystal floating nearby. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding.

Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures. They look pretty tired, but they will be more than happy to tell you everything you want to know. They shall tell you about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light and about what awaits you. Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.

There are quite a few people around you as well. For the most part, they are people like you-- All clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. There are also some other Humans, Tarutaru and Hypello in the room, but unlike you they don't have a Crystal, nor do they have a Moogle following them. If addressed, they will say they are the Guardians of the Crystal of Wind and will confirm everything the Moogle said. They will reveal they found you unconscious around the Crystal a couples hours ago, and immediately contacted the Moogles and the government of Aqures Ixen.

If asked about it, both the Moogles and Guardians will explain that Heroes of Light have already appeared in this world within the past year, and they all are in a city called Aqures Ixen. It's the first time Heroes have appeared in this temple. In fact, you probably should go to Aqures Ixen as well. The Moogle will tell you this is where your house is and where the other Heroes will be able to help you. Thankfully, should you decide to take your sweet time to get there, the other Heroes may just come to you.

The Other Heroes
— Anytime —

And indeed, thanks to the efficiency of Mognet and Shoopuf Airline it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around. You may meet them in Trano Golsaucia or in Aqures Ixen, or maybe even in one of the Airships going back and forth between the two cities. They are those who arrived in this world months ago and they have gone through quite a lot. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you there were other Heroes of Light in this world. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you how they recklessly attacked the Heran Empire to free their friends a few months ago. And most importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.

If so, you may be up for a complete and utter disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.

Trano Golsaucia
— Anytime —

Should you leave the Temple of Wind and head south, you will reach Trano Golsaucia. It's a gigantic city covered with snow-- To make it simple, this city is a gigantic amusement park. It is the most popular place in this world and of course, there are plenty of people all around. Thankfully, other Heroes of Light are easy to spot: they are the only ones who are followed by a Moogle and holding a Crystal.

And there is quite a lot to be done in this city. Maybe you could stop by the Triple Triad Center to begin a successful career in card games, or maybe you could buy a ticket at the Blitzball Stadium to support your favorite team. If you're the kind of person who relies on luck, you may have more fun gambling in the Casino or betting on your favorite Chocobo in the Chocobo Races. If you're more of a person who enjoys simpler games, maybe you could try one of the numerous carnival-style mini-games found in the city, such as the shooting stand or the treasure chest game.

If you'd like more details regarding all the attractions and games available in Trano Golsaucia, you can find everything here! Of course, all of this requires money and odds are that you may not have a single Gil yet. If your Moogle is nice though, maybe you could ask him or her to loan you some Gil...

Airships
— Every Four Hours —

Upon reaching Trano Golsaucia, you will also have the right to board an Airship. Exceptionally, there is an Airship available every four hours, all because of your arrival so that Heroes of Light can meet each other and go to Aqures Ixen with ease.

The flight itself should take between four to six hours as it will travel from one city to the other on route. This is nothing special for the denizens of this world, but for you it may be quite the experience if you never boarded a plane or any flying contraptions before. The service is nothing special, but there are some light refreshments offered free of charge. Note that most of the employees on Airships are Hypello.

Aqures Ixen
— After an Airship Trip —

Upon arriving in Aqures Ixen, the first thing you will see is the Airship Port in the 12th District. Following that, no doubt your eyes will find the Castle of Aqures Ixen, a classic yet refined structure standing in the city. From there on, characters are free to visit the city-- There are no attractions in this city, but there are scientific buildings, another Blitzball Stadium and even an Observatory serving as base for the Heroes of Light. If you'd like more details regarding all that is available in Aqures Ixen, you can find everything here!

Or maybe -and perhaps inevitably!- you could visit your new house in the 11th or 14th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. It's been a long day, so you could use some sleep. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with...

"It does?" she wondered aloud, pressing a finger to the side of her cheek as she seemed to consider it. She supposed that lots of things had happened in the last little while, which might have made the time appear as though it was passing more quickly than she realized. Either way, that dilemma seemed readily forgotten as she quickly jumped to a different topic, introductions!

"It is nice to meet you, Ven. And Mograe, too! This is Quickie," she stepped aside, allowing the blue furball to be seen better from where he checked out the scene from behind Meredy's legs. "And Craymog is..." she turned back and forth, checking the area before apparently coming to her conclusion, "not here right now. But he is never far. Come on," she turned on her heel, heading towards the front door.

"Meredy will give you a tour!"

"She's...another friend," he explained. Which was the truth. It wasn't as if she was anything else exactly. Just someone Asbel had spent an awful lot of time thinking about over the past few months - at least before the whole "Heroes of Light" thing. (Not that he would admit as much.)

It was almost a relief when he saw Sophie smile at last, considering how troubled she had seemed back home. Still, he couldn't help but feel a little guilty, a little in over his head. Even so, he wasn't about to back out on his promise.

This time Asbel let his palm drop gently down to the top of her head.

"Yeah, me too, Sophie. And I'm glad--" His smile thinned a little, expression conflicted even as he did what he could to grab onto anything resembling a returning smile. "I mean, it's just. It's good to see you right now, that's all."

Finally he glanced back at Taiga. "And yeah, that sounds like a good idea. All of the Heroes are pretty accommodating, and they've been a big help to me since I arrived. I can give you my house number, too, in case something comes up."

"You can visit whenever you want to."

"Is something wrong, kupo?" said a small black and white moogle as she came up the street. Unlike the more native moogles of the area, she didn't actually wait for the moogle to catch his breath as she waved a hand at the house. "Do you need a human for the kid?"

She also didn't wait for a response. A flip of her wings and she was inside, and a few short minutes later - after what sounded like some banging and a rather startled 'Oroooo?' - a rather short man with reddish hair was dragged outside.

"Ah... what can this one do for you?"

That was a curious question, although if others from Avalanche had arrived, then it only made sense to verify they were all on the same page. "We had all separated to find our own reasons for fighting Sephiroth, and were to return and re-meet up before descending in to the Northern Cavern once more. For the second, and hopefully final, time."

It was as succinct and clear as he could think to make it, to describe the complicated events he had been through with their group.

Ophelia trilled in surprise, as she hadn't heard Zelda coming up although Vincent had clearly seen movement from the corner of his eye. Quiet, taking stock of himself carefully as he thought over her question. He felt very slightly different--but not enough to fuss over. Certainly not enough to confess to a stranger, when he would do better to puzzle it out himself.

He hadn't been 'normal' in a long time after all.

"Fine." Letting one brow raise up, Vincent regarded Zelda without hostility, but with subtle wariness. "Hero of light?" Ophelia piped up from beside him, wringing her hands in her scarf. "I was just about to get to that kupo!"

[For all her huff and complaining, Elena found herself forced into silence at the sight of the man suffering nearby. Because, when she thought about it, being doubtful didn't cold a candle to severe motion sickness. She was careful not to make it look like she was watching the man too closely, but more often than not she found herself looking at the moogle that was trying its hardest to keep the man from losing his lunch.

After several minutes, and some glances from the man's google to her own, Elena gave a little jerk of her head for Shen to follow her as she stood. A bottle of water was pulled from one of her deeper pockets, its contents still cool, and extended to the ailing man.]

...Here. Sip this.

[Its quiet with little sounds of movement within the home. At least, that's how it starts. Elena barely managed to get the door open before footsteps are audible and headed in her direction. Pushing the door open wider, Elena placed herself in the doorway, eyes moving around the main area searching for the owner of the steps.

When the woman shows up, Elena all but gives a sigh of relief, pulling her hood back to reveal thick blonde pigtails.]

I was told this was the house I was assigned to. By this guy. [And she thumbed to the moogle floating behind her.] This is B-04, right?

[For being pulled into a foreign world after watching her own shatter around her, Elena appeared rather calm. Which was mainly a facade for the time being until she found a safe and secure location that would give her the opportunity to have an earned momentary freakout.

What she didn't expect to happen, on top of everything else, was to hear somebody calling her name. A girl, roughly her age, was walking in the same direction as she was. Her pace comes to a quick stop as she turns to the teen.]

....Do I know you?

Woah...

If there was ever a strong, female, authoritative figure that Elena might have wanted to ever look up to, this woman would be it. From the serious demeanor that she carried herself with to the straight forward, no-nonsense factual commentary to her concerns.]

I...ah...thanks. I suppose minimal will have to do. [And a second later.] Would yo happen to have time to fill me in on a few other details about this place and the whole 'heroes' thing?

Welcoming

[personal profile] goddessofthesky 2015-05-09 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Zelda smiled at the moogle with a wide grin. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt. I'd be happy to help explain if you wish." She didn't want to step on the moogles toes knowing that they were being paid to give the heroes the information when they first wake up.

She absently tucked a loose strain of golden hair behind her ear, her bright blue gaze shifting up to Vincent. He was much taller than she was.

"I am a hero of light as well. I've been here for awhile. I came to assist in anyway if I can. I apologize if I startled you at all." Zelda's fingers laced in front of her as her head tilted to the side.

[After getting her own speech about her newly acquired title and position within this new world, Elena had decided before heading out to take a look at the other 'Heroes' that she arrived with. Individuals who didn't entirely appear to be SOLDIERs or anything resembling a hero from the trashy novels that she her friends had told her about.

Especially the man standing by himself. With his arms and legs wide. Looking like a statue. Elena watched him a bit before slowly approaching the man.]

...What in Odin's name are you trying to do?
goddessofthesky: (Smiles)

[personal profile] goddessofthesky 2015-05-09 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Not exactly." Zelda just smiled, unphased by her mistake. "You see people use flowers to tell things to those they care about. A rose to express love or carnation to represent friendship. It's what you do when you don't have the words to express how you feel."

She smiled against hoping that she was clear while trying not to cast a firm gaze at Taiga. It was better to be patient so that people could learn on their own.

[Yuffie's mouth opens and then closes for a moment. Then repeats.]

I guess not.

[She squints and the shakes her head.]

Oh! Holy Shiva on an sled. You wouldn't know me because I met you when you were older. Holy CRAP!

[Yuffie's dark eyes look at Elena.]

Guess that doesn't make much sense huh? I'm going to sum up. I'm from Gaia too and I've met you but not yet. [She giggles.] I've got some funny stories for you.

house!

[personal profile] elephanthead 2015-05-09 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Kite was pulling at Greg's shirt who was laying face flat on the ground when the red haired hero walks from the house. "This is your new roommate Kupo. His name is Greg. The frog's name keeps changing Kupo." As if in response the frog croaks rousing Greg from his light sleep.

"Mr. Ed. You're awake. I'm awake too!" Even as the young boy said so his eyes blinked slowly looking up at his new roommate. There was a tea pot placed upside down on his head and his frog had found a safe place to rest on top of it.

"Do you know where Wirt is?"
elephanthead: (Blank thoughts)

[personal profile] elephanthead 2015-05-09 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Great!" A pause. "Who's Annie?"

Gregory hoped down from his chair placing his frog on his teapot hat with a smile. "Let's go!" Kite fluttered next to him making sure that Greg would stay in his sights.
elephanthead: (oh wait what)

Airship

[personal profile] elephanthead 2015-05-09 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Nope! What's it like?" Even as he asked the young boy walked forward. His frog held tightly in his little palms. A smile was permanently fixated to his lips as he saw the large ship they were going to board.

"Oh Wait What."

Greg ran forward and Kite had a heart attack thinking he might have lost Greg in the crowd. The ship was very big to such a small boy and he wanted to see it all.

[Elena had been wandering towards the line of airships in a quick surveillance to get a better understanding of the area when she came across the first piece of candy. It was unusual and she was surely not one to pick up random food off the floor. But when she came across a second, and then a third, well, it was only natural to follow the trail. Which ultimately led her to a small boy who was leaving the trail.

For a second she could only watch in a mixture of surprise, amusement and concern before clearing her throat to garner his attention.]

You know, there might be some creatures who might either eat or clean up the candy as you leave them.
elephanthead: (But but but but)

"I need to find my brother first! We were finding our way home. He'll be upset that I wondered off." Greg took a piece of candy from his pocket and placed it on the ground.

"I KNOW, I CAN LEAVE A CANDY TRAIL!" He placed another piece down looking up at Ventus. "I might need more candy."

Gregory didn't realize how unhelpful he was being at the moment though Kite flew closer with a shake of his head.

"We were going to look for him in Aqures Ixen werent we?"

"Oh." Sophie didn't seem embarrassed by the mistake, at least. "What does a carnation look like?" Because being able to use something to express the way you feel might come in handy for Sophie, since she didn't know emotions very well.

Taiga at least managed to keep from laughing out loud -- mostly. He could already tell staying with his Hero was going to be very interesting.
lucentpalisade: (Huh?)

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-09 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
The gesture was so familiar, it was nice - her chest felt all warm. Although she had to wonder at his expression. "What's wrong with your face?"

Taiga fortunately, managed to keep from laughing hysterically. "K--Kupo, that's not a very nice thing to say~!" Snerk snerk. Ahem. Oh, serious time. He nodded at Asbel, "That sounds good, Kupo. As for us, we're in apartment B-06, 14th District... although we haven't met the roommates yet, kupo."

house!

Kenshin blinked at the small child and then looked at the moogle. While he knew that the planet was partly responsible for pulling in people to become Heroes, he did not like the idea of a small kid getting involved. From what he had seen, this life was not one geared for children. Biting back the sigh he wanted to make, he crouched down so he was at Greg's eye-level.

"One does not," he said and then thought for a moment. Maybe he will need to be more direct and less humble with this child. "However, I do have warm food inside if you're hungry. I'm Kenshin and my moogle friend is Koneko."
pactfulfilled: (► Really uncomfortable.)

[personal profile] pactfulfilled 2015-05-09 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
Well, whatever she'd seen on his face, it was now accompanied by awkward blushing. Which honestly wasn't what he needed at all. How could he explain that he was both happy and sad at the same time? Besides, if she knew he was sad, then it'd only make her feel bad... And the last thing he wanted was to make her uncomfortable after she'd only just gotten there. It isn't Sophie's fault she can't remember.

"Oh! It's just-- I, um. It's nothing, Sophie. I thought I was going to sneeze, but it's gone now!" Yeah, that'd work! He just totally nailed it. Exchanging a glance with the moogle, Asbel continued.

"Really? B-06 is actually the house right next to ours. B-08." That, at least, was a relief. He wasn't sure he liked the idea of Sophie living with strangers in a whole other district. Blame it on his overprotective not!Dad instincts.

"So I guess that makes us neighbors."
jadethenecromancer: (shall we be on our way?)

[personal profile] jadethenecromancer 2015-05-09 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
Jade nodded. "Best do that while you have the chance." Because with the way things had been going lately, you never knew when the next catastrophe hit.

"The first airship will likely arrive soon, but there is no need to rush. The last I heard, their have flights coming every four hours." He put his hat back on, studying the girl. "Oh, but where are my manners? My name is Jade Curtiss."

"And I'm Rosepuff, kupo!" chimed in the moogle, swinging from sulking to saccharine in a blink of an eye. "What's your name, kupo?"
lucentpalisade: (Profile)

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-09 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Name?" Sophie paused. Well it wasn't Heykid, Heiyuu or Kupo, she wasn't sure what it was. "Tiger Festival calls me 'Kid' ...but I don't think it's my name." It didn't sound right.

Taiga decided to not focus on the incorrect naming she gave him, sighing. "She doesn't have any memories, kupo - or at least not any of the important ones. Like her name, where she's from, that sort of thing. If we're lucky, someone in Aqures Ixen will recognize her." he explained.
