Intro Log || The City That Never Sleeps

Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Trano Golsaucia, Aqures Ixen, Airships.
When: The 5th of May. The new Heroes of Light will awaken early in the morning.
Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken in the Temple of Wind next to Trano Golsaucia, and they are informed by their assigned Moogles of what the situation and what their destinies are. This a log for them to react to the situation, meet each other and be welcomed by the former batches of Heroes of Light.
Warning: N/A

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within a split second, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had are now gone. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you...

And at this very moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:

"Wake up."

Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by a gentle breeze. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call once more, but is soon replaced by a much less graceful "Wake up, Kupo!" Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally bring you back to your senses. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Wind, in the Temple located right outside of a city called Trano Golsaucia. At this point, you may realize the breeze originates from the massive green Crystal floating nearby. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding.

Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures. They look pretty tired, but they will be more than happy to tell you everything you want to know. They shall tell you about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light and about what awaits you. Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.

There are quite a few people around you as well. For the most part, they are people like you-- All clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. There are also some other Humans, Tarutaru and Hypello in the room, but unlike you they don't have a Crystal, nor do they have a Moogle following them. If addressed, they will say they are the Guardians of the Crystal of Wind and will confirm everything the Moogle said. They will reveal they found you unconscious around the Crystal a couples hours ago, and immediately contacted the Moogles and the government of Aqures Ixen.

If asked about it, both the Moogles and Guardians will explain that Heroes of Light have already appeared in this world within the past year, and they all are in a city called Aqures Ixen. It's the first time Heroes have appeared in this temple. In fact, you probably should go to Aqures Ixen as well. The Moogle will tell you this is where your house is and where the other Heroes will be able to help you. Thankfully, should you decide to take your sweet time to get there, the other Heroes may just come to you.

The Other Heroes
— Anytime —

And indeed, thanks to the efficiency of Mognet and Shoopuf Airline it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around. You may meet them in Trano Golsaucia or in Aqures Ixen, or maybe even in one of the Airships going back and forth between the two cities. They are those who arrived in this world months ago and they have gone through quite a lot. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you there were other Heroes of Light in this world. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you how they recklessly attacked the Heran Empire to free their friends a few months ago. And most importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.

If so, you may be up for a complete and utter disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.

Trano Golsaucia
— Anytime —

Should you leave the Temple of Wind and head south, you will reach Trano Golsaucia. It's a gigantic city covered with snow-- To make it simple, this city is a gigantic amusement park. It is the most popular place in this world and of course, there are plenty of people all around. Thankfully, other Heroes of Light are easy to spot: they are the only ones who are followed by a Moogle and holding a Crystal.

And there is quite a lot to be done in this city. Maybe you could stop by the Triple Triad Center to begin a successful career in card games, or maybe you could buy a ticket at the Blitzball Stadium to support your favorite team. If you're the kind of person who relies on luck, you may have more fun gambling in the Casino or betting on your favorite Chocobo in the Chocobo Races. If you're more of a person who enjoys simpler games, maybe you could try one of the numerous carnival-style mini-games found in the city, such as the shooting stand or the treasure chest game.

If you'd like more details regarding all the attractions and games available in Trano Golsaucia, you can find everything here! Of course, all of this requires money and odds are that you may not have a single Gil yet. If your Moogle is nice though, maybe you could ask him or her to loan you some Gil...

Airships
— Every Four Hours —

Upon reaching Trano Golsaucia, you will also have the right to board an Airship. Exceptionally, there is an Airship available every four hours, all because of your arrival so that Heroes of Light can meet each other and go to Aqures Ixen with ease.

The flight itself should take between four to six hours as it will travel from one city to the other on route. This is nothing special for the denizens of this world, but for you it may be quite the experience if you never boarded a plane or any flying contraptions before. The service is nothing special, but there are some light refreshments offered free of charge. Note that most of the employees on Airships are Hypello.

Aqures Ixen
— After an Airship Trip —

Upon arriving in Aqures Ixen, the first thing you will see is the Airship Port in the 12th District. Following that, no doubt your eyes will find the Castle of Aqures Ixen, a classic yet refined structure standing in the city. From there on, characters are free to visit the city-- There are no attractions in this city, but there are scientific buildings, another Blitzball Stadium and even an Observatory serving as base for the Heroes of Light. If you'd like more details regarding all that is available in Aqures Ixen, you can find everything here!

Or maybe -and perhaps inevitably!- you could visit your new house in the 11th or 14th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. It's been a long day, so you could use some sleep. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with...

"It's only the best game ever kupo!" Yuna gave up and released the moogle who energetically fluttered around the pair.

"It's team against team in a match that determines who's the greatest kupo!" Which didn't really explain the game.

"It's played in a sphere of water." Yuna circles her hands as she talks. "There are 6 players on each team and they work to score on the other team. As you can see, a lot of people and moogles enjoy watching it." She laughed watching Celes kick an invisible ball in the air.

Taiga looked surprised, "That's a pretty lucky coincidence then, kupo! That's the same place the kid and I were heading. Looks like we'll be roommates - but even if we weren't we'd give her a hand, right kid, kupo?"

Sophie nodded - if she had her original body from home she'd be able to pick Selen up no problem! But she was lacking her strength here, she could tell. "I can't carry her." She warned.

"Well you shouldn't need to, kupo. But between the three of us we can make sure she doesn't fall over on the way, kupo!" Taiga said. "Let's go, kupo!"

"Call me Barkeep--or, actually--no, just keep on callin' me that. I think I can still keep that name." If this was like any other planet, there were bound to be saloons we could work in. Not that this boy looked old enough to be in a situation where a barkeep would be needed.

"Thanks for the help, Ventus. That's an unusual name. Where you from?"

"I think so too." Zelda laughed softly. It was nice to talk about things that were dark and depressing like airships and food. She turned towards the city with a warm gaze.

"We can take a look around as we walk to the airships. Because the heroes woke up here there are special ones leaving every few hours. It'd be a shame not to look around first." She turned back towards Robin with a smile.

True they had things to talk about but being happy and enjoying yourself was important too. At least it was to Zelda, she wanted everyone to feel comfortable even if this wasn't their home.

"There are even bigger ones if you could imagine."

Zelda's smile was warm and wide as she looked down at the young girl. "Do you want to see inside? I think this one is taking off soon and will be heading to Aqures."

"Card game?" Ven echoed. He was curious, not skeptical, even if it sounded much more tame than what he knew of Blitzball. He had played different card and board games with Terra and Aqua over the years, after all; that was likely -- at least partially -- to blame for his competitive nature now. "That sounds fun! I didn't know cards could be a professional sport."

"It can't be that surprising, kupo," Mograe spoke up. "You were talking about hitting food around for fun, kupo."

"It's called Fruitball, and it's better than it sounds," said Ven patiently, although his expression held a shade of challenge in response to the moogle's continued skepticism. The look dissipated as he turned to Cloud again. "Anyway, is there a place to go play it or something?"

Zelda had come to the temple as soon as she heard word that the new heroes arrived there. It was lucky for her that she had already been in the city visiting someone when her moogle informed her of the change. She wasn't sure if heroes would arrive again since their original timing had been thrown off by the Empire.

When she arrived at the temple she noted the number of people and quietly asked Kopula to go talk to the other moogles and get a head count and peoples names of those who just arrived. If anything Zelda liked to stay organized.

She turned back to the others spotting those who were just waking up. Her feet lightly kissed the ground as she walked stopping after over hearing Shulks unanswered question to his moogle. She turned towards him with a wide smile.

"Maybe I can help?" That was why she came. "I'm Zelda. I'm a hero of light too but I've been here for awhile."

Her long hair was tied up in a ponytail though it still fell past her waist. She was wearing what looked like a light blue summer dress beneath her cloak as if she hadn't gotten the memo that it was cold outside.

"I believe four but I don't know for sure. There are records of crystals becoming unstable and destroying cities. Then there are the dark crystals which I believe were once elemental crystals and they were tested on until their color and purpose changed." She paused. "That's only a theory though. There is more information about them at the observatory and in the library."

Zelda didn't know if he liked to read or not. She found that those who didn't asked her to relate what she had read in the past and so she was prepared to do that again.

"All the information we have is still missing some key parts." It was better than nothing though and more than they had known before.

Nodding easily, Ven made a note of the name -- title? -- but then hesitated at the question. "I'm -- uh..." He looked to Mograe as if for help, but she only stared blankly at him. It wasn't as though he had bothered to tell her, either.

Then again, he reminded himself, she'd spoken of other worlds openly and the rest of the Heroes had to know the truth now. Admitting that much was surely harmless at this point, as was stating a name that probably didn't much much to anyone. "I'm from... the Land of Departure," he finished finally, turning again to Barkeep. It technically wasn't his homeworld of origin, but that was neither here nor there and saying so would only serve to broach the subject of his knowing of the worlds prior. In this case, the simplest answer was best.

"I've never heard of that one, kupo," Mograe mused thoughtfully. Ven glanced at her, but didn't voice his thought that there was a reason for that.

Not your first time? [He wondered what she had meant by that honestly. Had she gone to other worlds or something?]

No, we didn't. With the group I arrived with we were...I guess you could say in some kind of prison. We had space to wonder around and such, but he couldn't go outside and were only given food and such once a day. It's wasn't very nice to say the least.

[Just the thought of the food alone was enough to give him the shivers. That stuff had been disgusting.]

Well one day someone's going to know what they are.

And just as much he wouldn't know what a Levin sword is... but if she could draw it and explain it... he is the man to ask for crazy weapons! Crazy shit is his passion.

"Hey, kinda surprised but if that's what suits you best, it's yours, Robin." He didn't even mention a price or anything akin to it, like a debt or a trade of favors.

She knew they kind of were, but Minako simply shakes her head and pretends that it wasn't all that bad, when it really was. "So far it has it's perks, I mean for one I feel like I'm in a video game and that is pretty awesome in my mind. Being able to kick butt with super powers."

Which wasn't something new to her really, but this type of thing did remind her of a video game and that got her a little excited at what that might mean.

From being exited, it was quick to fade slightly, taking a quick look around. "I'm sure they do, but I don't think I'd want to know. Or I could and I'd end up falling asleep."

She smiled giving a small shake of her head.

"Not yet, but now we can wonder together and see what rooms there are." She had taken a step forward. Since they were in a house together she thought it might be a good idea to wonder together.

"So let's go... This way~" She said her hand pointing towards where the hall way was as she was now standing pretty close to the other.
makingfriends: or whatever let's just be FRANDS (You can call me Ven!)

[personal profile] makingfriends 2015-05-13 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Ven's cheer and optimism had kicked back into full gear, so there was nothing short of total enthusiasm as he agreed. "Yeah! I've never fought alongside so many people before, but I'm sure it'll work out if we all want the same thing." Whether that was protecting this world for this world's sake, or just to get home to their own, it was the same goal in the end, wasn't it? That suggested, or really demanded cooperation. With this many people, they had to stand a good chance.

He just... still didn't get why their powers had to be taken away. But even that, as earth-shattering as it had seemed upon discovery, was steadily becoming accepted in his mind. He'd lost most of his magic and his Keyblade didn't feel tethered to him any longer, but it could have been worse. He refused to think of it as a permanent disability, anyway, and that helped him put it aside for now.

With that in mind, however, he added after a moment, "But I guess we have our work cut out for us until then, since I'll have to train myself up all over again." With his experience, at least, it wouldn't take nearly as long to get to where he had been. Hopefully. "How about you, Robin? What'll you do after you get to Aqures Ixen?"

"Over a thousand years ago?!" She said suddenly surprised. Did she end up in the future again or something? She already knew what was going to happen around that time, but there were some things that she hadn't heard before.

"Where I was from it was the 1990's" She said managing to calm down a bit after the surprise that he was from the future in which she already knew of in her world. She has yet to figure out they are from different worlds however.

"Though..I doubt abilities extend ones life. Not sure how though, but honestly, you want it extended at...what age are you anyway?"

Mograe looks offended at that name-butchery, but Ven just rolls with it.

"Wow, really?" That's an entirely foreign concept to him -- he knows what machines are, of course, he's used some basic ones before in everyday life, but all the same he's not the most tech-savvy individual out there. Plus the thought of their being substituted for war is pretty cool, peacekeeper that he is. "So do you build them? Or control them? What are they like?"

One question at a time, Ven.

"Grima?" she asked, tilting her head, but then she shook it. No, that could wait for later; she shouldn't find out what might be and what could be, when she needed to concern herself with what was. His question was a very good one, though, and that made her think. Even if she felt distracted, for a moment. Something about that name.

Grima...

Her expression grew distant, but then lost it, and she smiled. Despite knowing him for all of a minute, she had to be proud of him: he found a likely explanation for this quandary! That's her boy. "Yeah!" she said. "I think that must be it. If it can break the space between worlds, there's no reason that whatever is happening can't break the flow of time, too. We know that's possible, too, because of what you mentioned before."

She tapped a finger against her chin. "Very good! You reasoned that out--oh!" Her grin turned into a sheepish smile. "I'm sorry, but I don't know--the lack of memory thing, you see--ah, what's your name, son?"
forcegalactic: (?!?!!!?!?!?!?!????)

[personal profile] forcegalactic 2015-05-13 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
"1990's?!" He reeled back in surprise. "That's ancient! How are we even communicatin' in the same language, even?"

He clutched his head in his hands. What kind of place was this, taking people from different points in time and putting them in ridiculous costumes?

"Forty-two. Only had the Force Galactic for a few years, though. Besides, if I wanted to extend my life, I'd have to extend that of everyone else I know. And that'd be a bit too much." He'd had to expand the effect to practically everyone on Mars if he wanted himself and his wife not to remain friendless. You know what? Immortality was a bad idea. It was a good idea Barkeep pondered on it right now.

"Oh, yes," Robin said. "Let's do that. I should have a look around!"

She smiled, biting into the skewer again -- she was a soldier, so she ate quickly -- and looked around. Truth be told, she felt more at home now. There were many questions, still, and the feeling would take awhile to stick. But, for the first time since she arrived here, she began to feel at ease.

She gave a small smile back, but she knew there might be questions about that kind of subject and she was more than happy to answer.

"I know a bit, I mean with certain places you get different kinds of monsters, it all depends on where." She only really knew of the ones that lived on the Calm Plains, anything outside of that was a mystery to her.

"They all vary in how tough they are as well, I should add. I assume you ask this question for a reason? Planning on going off to fight or something?"

"Really? Architecture is boring?" Robin asked, glancing at Minako. She looked uncertain about that claim; the idea that books might be boring hadn't quite registered. She liked reading old texts too much to quite realize someone might mean that.

"The powers do look interesting," she said. "But... what is a video game? Something from your world?"
tacticallyminded: (Thoughtful)

[personal profile] tacticallyminded 2015-05-13 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
She would, in time, realize this. Then the orders would begin pouring in.

"Oh, thank you! What do I owe you for it?" Robin asked. She assumed, of course, that there would be a price; even the nicest merchant often had one.

"Well where I'm from airship weren't a thing and it was a surprise for me when I rode one for the first time." With each word she spoke she slowly but surely found a place. After she had finished speaking she walked in, knowing that this place should be able to give her a glass of water.

It was five minutes before she came out again, walked over and held out the water. "Here you go. I guess I was going to finish with, but I didn't have the reaction you have. But I know that it comes in all different ways."

Ah that's right, he did mention those names. "What do they look like?" If she saw someone matching that description, she'd be more than happy to tell them Ventus was here. At mention of remembering her friends, Sophie nodded, "Okay. I will." Although she wouldn't remember for a while, sadly~!
