Opening up the flower shop~
Where: Aqures Ixen: Terra’s new flower shop (Also a rescue center for animals and pets) located at the border between the 14th and 09th District of Aqures Ixen.
When: 9th through the month of May~ and June!
Summary: Terra has just opened her shop, Jardin Verdoyant, after spending some time and money getting it ready. Bartz had helped her where he could. Now it is open and ready for business. In June Terra can be found at the flower shop or her home. The memories left her feeling a little uncomfortable about people.
Warning: None.
Terra had made sure the shop was perfect before sending out Tempest with the flyers. There were rows of plants cut from the stem and rearranged in lovely patterns as well as rows of bright seasonal flowers that were still rooted to a clump of soft dirt. She wanted people to be able to plant flowers as well as have them to be placed in a vase or given as gifts. She had collected seeds as well, which sat in small baskets on the front counter, each with the flowers names written out on small pieces of parchment. The whole store front burst with colors drawing in those who walked by.
The back of the store was simple, Terra was in the process of outfitting it as a greenhouse of sorts and she hoped to have it set up so she could grow spring and summer flowers throughout the winter. On the far side of that wall there were pens and a dozen or so kittens were playing with small toys that Terra had made a few days before. Two of the kittens, whom Terra has trained, were wandering around the store front pulling in customers with soft meows. One was black with startling blue green eyes while the other was an orange tabby cat who’s eyes shined gold in the light of the sun.
Terra was excited and it showed in a happy smile as she lightly misted water over a collection of carnations.
She had her long green hair pulled back into a ponytail with loose strains falling to frame her delicate features. For once Terra wasn't wearing a dress deciding to wear a purple tank top and a pair of worn shorts. She wore brown boots that ended at her calf which were slightly covered in dirt and scuffed from work.

Overall the damage wasn't bad. A few bushes were now short a few flowers but it wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed. None of the plants were completely consumed which Terra was thankful for. She stepped up to the chocobo and gently pet its side with a fond smile.
"I hope that's okay." She was talking more to the bird than Bartz.
no subject
He gives the bird a glare, but honestly Bartz isn't much good at glaring, so the effect is mostly lost.
“But... we're both sorry.”
Not actually true. Boko jr. isn't sorry at all. All he knows is that now he gets neck pats and next time she'll give him snacks. Yay! Lesson completely unlearned. He chirps happily at Terra, nuzzling her affectionately.

It really was okay and even if Boko jr. didn't learn his lesson she was happy to make him feel comfortable while he was here. She leaned against the large bird feeling the weight of his head as he nuzzled against her slight form.
"Would you like a flower?" Terra was watching Bartz with a shy smile. "You've helped me so much. I'd like to give something to you."
Flowers were all she really had. That and kittens but she didn't think that Bartz would want a pet cat. He already had his chocobo to take care of.
Now in the right place. Sorry orz....
“I feel like we should be giving you something. Um...”
He glances around and then looks back at the plant his chocobo had been snacking on.
“Hey, I know! Why don't I buy that one from you? Boko jr. already ate half of it, so he must like it.”

A soft meow echoes through the room as a pair of kittens wonder up to Boko Jr. They were the protectors of the flowers and they just caught wind that someone was eating them. They patted up to the chocobo's ankles and began batting at him as if to tell him he was wrong.
"Oh." Terra kneels down lifting the black kitten from the ground. "Sorry. They have decided to protect the flowers." The black kitten melted in Terra's palm, nuzzling and purring against the soft brush of her fingers.

Bartz honestly doesn't think he did anything special for her. It's normal to help to people you care about. Boko jr. warks at the kitties and then shakes, causing several feathers to waft to the ground. Bartz laughs.
“Looks like those cats are really earning their keep. They make pretty good guards.”

When she came back there was a brown package in her palms. "Tempest has been teaching me to sew. I hope this is okay. I wanted to say thank you." She had been debating wither or not to give it to him. She couldn't turn back now.
Terra held out the package hoping he'd like what was inside. It wasn't anything fancy. It was a brown leather pouch that she had carefully sew together.
no subject
“Aw, Terra, you don't have to give me anything.
He is curious to see what she made though. His eyes light up when she hands him the pouch. Turning it over in his hands a slow smile spreads over his face.
“You made this? For me? It's great! You're really good at this!”

She was a little nervous that it might not hold up but Tempest had said it was perfect when she told the moogle the bags intended recipient.
"You like it?" It was plan but it was useful. "I mean, I'm happy."
She paused.
"That you like it."
Terra often avoided saying that she was happy or sad. It was hard for her to understand feelings but she knew without question that she was happy because her mouth couldn't drop it's smile even if she tried.

"I love it! You know, you're pretty talented."
He gestures around at the shop.
"You're good with plants, animals, and you can make stuff too. It's really impressive."
Really, there's a lot of stuff he didn't know. He's regretting not talking to her more back when they were fighting for Cosmos.

Terra looked around the shop feeling her cheeks flush a light shade of pink. "I don't know why I can make things grow but I like it." She'd rather bring life than take it and she didn't know why she was so good with animals. They seemed to like her, maybe they sensed something within her that others couldn't.
"I don't think it's very impressive." She smiled. "I think you're impressive." Bartz always did what he wanted and he was always helping her. She didn't know what she'd do if she hadn't met him.
no subject
He blinks at her in genuine surprise.
“Me? I don't really do anything special.”
Bartz seems almost amused by the idea. Really all he does is wander around and fight monsters. And his attention span is far too short for him to run a business or anything like that.

Her fingers lightly tug at the hem of her shirt after she places the kitten in her hands down behind her. His chocobo has been more well behaved and she thinks it's feet are safe from the kitten's wrath.
"I should probably get back to tending the flowers." She paused. "You're welcome to look around or come back." She added hastily. She likes spending time with Bartz more so because he always seems at ease around her and it makes it easier to relax.
no subject
Bartz was not expecting that answer and it shows in the blush that spreads across his cheeks. He doesn't think he's done anything all that special, but he can't really say 'oh it's nothing.' Her smile certainly isn't nothing. It's important. He likes seeing her smile. He's still searching for something to say that doesn't sound silly when she speaks again.
“Um, that's okay, we should probably get going anyway. Before Boko jr. gets hungry again.”
The chocobo warks testily. He already ate. He's fine. And he's having fun with his new kitty friends. They're friends now, right? But Bartz ignores the bird.
“But I'll definitely visit again, okay?”
no subject
Terra smiled at Bartz. "Yes. I'd like that." He didn't need to buy flowers either. She liked having people she knew come by and Bartz was someone who was always there for her. He was one of a handful she felt comfortable around.
"I'll make sure to have food for Boko Jr. also."
no subject
"And I think he'd like that."
Very true. The bratty little bird is getting pretty good at getting his own way. But as long as Terra is happy, Bartz is happy too. He gives Terra a smile and a wave as he turns to go, motioning for his chocobo to follow.
"See you around, Terra!"
no subject
"You guys shouldn't bother customers." Not that Bartz counted as a customer but she hoped that the little guys didn't keep people away. Without anyone around she got back to work and the kittens got back to mischief.
