Opening up the flower shop~
Where: Aqures Ixen: Terra’s new flower shop (Also a rescue center for animals and pets) located at the border between the 14th and 09th District of Aqures Ixen.
When: 9th through the month of May~ and June!
Summary: Terra has just opened her shop, Jardin Verdoyant, after spending some time and money getting it ready. Bartz had helped her where he could. Now it is open and ready for business. In June Terra can be found at the flower shop or her home. The memories left her feeling a little uncomfortable about people.
Warning: None.
Terra had made sure the shop was perfect before sending out Tempest with the flyers. There were rows of plants cut from the stem and rearranged in lovely patterns as well as rows of bright seasonal flowers that were still rooted to a clump of soft dirt. She wanted people to be able to plant flowers as well as have them to be placed in a vase or given as gifts. She had collected seeds as well, which sat in small baskets on the front counter, each with the flowers names written out on small pieces of parchment. The whole store front burst with colors drawing in those who walked by.
The back of the store was simple, Terra was in the process of outfitting it as a greenhouse of sorts and she hoped to have it set up so she could grow spring and summer flowers throughout the winter. On the far side of that wall there were pens and a dozen or so kittens were playing with small toys that Terra had made a few days before. Two of the kittens, whom Terra has trained, were wandering around the store front pulling in customers with soft meows. One was black with startling blue green eyes while the other was an orange tabby cat who’s eyes shined gold in the light of the sun.
Terra was excited and it showed in a happy smile as she lightly misted water over a collection of carnations.
She had her long green hair pulled back into a ponytail with loose strains falling to frame her delicate features. For once Terra wasn't wearing a dress deciding to wear a purple tank top and a pair of worn shorts. She wore brown boots that ended at her calf which were slightly covered in dirt and scuffed from work.

She was a little nervous that it might not hold up but Tempest had said it was perfect when she told the moogle the bags intended recipient.
"You like it?" It was plan but it was useful. "I mean, I'm happy."
She paused.
"That you like it."
Terra often avoided saying that she was happy or sad. It was hard for her to understand feelings but she knew without question that she was happy because her mouth couldn't drop it's smile even if she tried.

"I love it! You know, you're pretty talented."
He gestures around at the shop.
"You're good with plants, animals, and you can make stuff too. It's really impressive."
Really, there's a lot of stuff he didn't know. He's regretting not talking to her more back when they were fighting for Cosmos.

Terra looked around the shop feeling her cheeks flush a light shade of pink. "I don't know why I can make things grow but I like it." She'd rather bring life than take it and she didn't know why she was so good with animals. They seemed to like her, maybe they sensed something within her that others couldn't.
"I don't think it's very impressive." She smiled. "I think you're impressive." Bartz always did what he wanted and he was always helping her. She didn't know what she'd do if she hadn't met him.

He blinks at her in genuine surprise.
“Me? I don't really do anything special.”
Bartz seems almost amused by the idea. Really all he does is wander around and fight monsters. And his attention span is far too short for him to run a business or anything like that.

Her fingers lightly tug at the hem of her shirt after she places the kitten in her hands down behind her. His chocobo has been more well behaved and she thinks it's feet are safe from the kitten's wrath.
"I should probably get back to tending the flowers." She paused. "You're welcome to look around or come back." She added hastily. She likes spending time with Bartz more so because he always seems at ease around her and it makes it easier to relax.

Bartz was not expecting that answer and it shows in the blush that spreads across his cheeks. He doesn't think he's done anything all that special, but he can't really say 'oh it's nothing.' Her smile certainly isn't nothing. It's important. He likes seeing her smile. He's still searching for something to say that doesn't sound silly when she speaks again.
“Um, that's okay, we should probably get going anyway. Before Boko jr. gets hungry again.”
The chocobo warks testily. He already ate. He's fine. And he's having fun with his new kitty friends. They're friends now, right? But Bartz ignores the bird.
“But I'll definitely visit again, okay?”

Terra smiled at Bartz. "Yes. I'd like that." He didn't need to buy flowers either. She liked having people she knew come by and Bartz was someone who was always there for her. He was one of a handful she felt comfortable around.
"I'll make sure to have food for Boko Jr. also."
no subject
"And I think he'd like that."
Very true. The bratty little bird is getting pretty good at getting his own way. But as long as Terra is happy, Bartz is happy too. He gives Terra a smile and a wave as he turns to go, motioning for his chocobo to follow.
"See you around, Terra!"

"You guys shouldn't bother customers." Not that Bartz counted as a customer but she hoped that the little guys didn't keep people away. Without anyone around she got back to work and the kittens got back to mischief.
