Opening up the flower shop~
Where: Aqures Ixen: Terra’s new flower shop (Also a rescue center for animals and pets) located at the border between the 14th and 09th District of Aqures Ixen.
When: 9th through the month of May~ and June!
Summary: Terra has just opened her shop, Jardin Verdoyant, after spending some time and money getting it ready. Bartz had helped her where he could. Now it is open and ready for business. In June Terra can be found at the flower shop or her home. The memories left her feeling a little uncomfortable about people.
Warning: None.
Terra had made sure the shop was perfect before sending out Tempest with the flyers. There were rows of plants cut from the stem and rearranged in lovely patterns as well as rows of bright seasonal flowers that were still rooted to a clump of soft dirt. She wanted people to be able to plant flowers as well as have them to be placed in a vase or given as gifts. She had collected seeds as well, which sat in small baskets on the front counter, each with the flowers names written out on small pieces of parchment. The whole store front burst with colors drawing in those who walked by.
The back of the store was simple, Terra was in the process of outfitting it as a greenhouse of sorts and she hoped to have it set up so she could grow spring and summer flowers throughout the winter. On the far side of that wall there were pens and a dozen or so kittens were playing with small toys that Terra had made a few days before. Two of the kittens, whom Terra has trained, were wandering around the store front pulling in customers with soft meows. One was black with startling blue green eyes while the other was an orange tabby cat who’s eyes shined gold in the light of the sun.
Terra was excited and it showed in a happy smile as she lightly misted water over a collection of carnations.
She had her long green hair pulled back into a ponytail with loose strains falling to frame her delicate features. For once Terra wasn't wearing a dress deciding to wear a purple tank top and a pair of worn shorts. She wore brown boots that ended at her calf which were slightly covered in dirt and scuffed from work.

"That's fine, maybe later then." She looked around, she didn't know half of what flowers were here, there were so many after all. "So..." She couldn't help but laugh a little bit, putting a hand behind her head. "I know nothing about plants or flowers. Would you like to talk to me about them?"

She started with the far end of the store talking about the various bushes, some of which produced different sorts of berries as well as flowers. Then she moved to rose bushes and other bright vibrant plants. As she worked across the store she paused at the stem flowers. These she knew the least about. Tempest had told her she needed to be able to make bouquets and that was what they were for.
"I know that roses stand for love and carnations, friendship."

"Do you know why flowers stand for certain things though? Because I don't quite understand." She placed a finger on her cheek as she thought about it. She just didn't get it no matter how much she listened.

Terra was lost to her thoughts before turning back to look at Kobato. "I've noticed most of the meanings stand for feelings."
no subject
"Feelings behind flowers.... Maybe that's why people give flowers. To show how people mean to others. I think." She once again had gone into thinking mode about it. Why else would people do that.

Her smile softened and her gaze became wistful as she looked over at Kobato. "I think.. it's wonderful."
A delicate hand reached out and gently picked up a rose bud that had been placed in a bowl of water on the counter. It had fallen off earlier that morning and Terra sought to keep it's lovely red vibrant color a little longer.

"Though I don't think I could give flowers to anyone right now."

“What about a friend?” Flowers weren’t just meant for lovers or family. They were meant for everyone to share, to show that someone has affected you in a way that words can’t.

"But when it comes to flowers, I wouldn't know where to start in picking them for friends."

She pointed to an iris with a kind smile pulling at her features. "This one is good for someone wise and kind."
Terra then pointed to a yellow carnation. "This one for someone fun and happy."
She picked up a white daisy. "This one is cute and playful."
Then she picked up a white bell flower. "This one for someone elegant."
no subject
"Thank you for telling me that. I might just think about it and come back later, if that is okay?"
no subject
Terra moved to pick up a kitten that was about to track dirt through the store. She gently wiped its paws while addressing Kobato. “If you need anything else…” Her voice trailed off slightly. “Come again.” It was hard for her to remember what she was supposed to say and everything sounded a little awkward.

As she turned on her heels, she headed to the door, glancing back briefly at the kittens, she defiantly was going to come back at some point in the future. She liked kittens after all.
