Opening up the flower shop~

Where: Aqures Ixen: Terra’s new flower shop (Also a rescue center for animals and pets) located at the border between the 14th and 09th District of Aqures Ixen.
When: 9th through the month of May~ and June!
Summary: Terra has just opened her shop, Jardin Verdoyant, after spending some time and money getting it ready. Bartz had helped her where he could. Now it is open and ready for business. In June Terra can be found at the flower shop or her home. The memories left her feeling a little uncomfortable about people.
Warning: None.

Terra had made sure the shop was perfect before sending out Tempest with the flyers. There were rows of plants cut from the stem and rearranged in lovely patterns as well as rows of bright seasonal flowers that were still rooted to a clump of soft dirt. She wanted people to be able to plant flowers as well as have them to be placed in a vase or given as gifts. She had collected seeds as well, which sat in small baskets on the front counter, each with the flowers names written out on small pieces of parchment. The whole store front burst with colors drawing in those who walked by.

The back of the store was simple, Terra was in the process of outfitting it as a greenhouse of sorts and she hoped to have it set up so she could grow spring and summer flowers throughout the winter. On the far side of that wall there were pens and a dozen or so kittens were playing with small toys that Terra had made a few days before. Two of the kittens, whom Terra has trained, were wandering around the store front pulling in customers with soft meows. One was black with startling blue green eyes while the other was an orange tabby cat who’s eyes shined gold in the light of the sun.

Terra was excited and it showed in a happy smile as she lightly misted water over a collection of carnations.

She had her long green hair pulled back into a ponytail with loose strains falling to frame her delicate features. For once Terra wasn't wearing a dress deciding to wear a purple tank top and a pair of worn shorts. She wore brown boots that ended at her calf which were slightly covered in dirt and scuffed from work.

Ramza tried to shrug off her concern. "Well enough," he deflected. "I am...in need of some flowers. Can you help?" he asked. It was the simplest of the things he needed to say to her, so he started there.

He eyed the kittens a little warily. The cats of Ivalice were large, fierce creatures. Terra was kindhearted and perhaps a little naive, and Ramza hoped she had not taken in anything dangerous.

The blond stooped near one mewling kitten and held a gloved finger out. As it licked, he checked for the tell-tale venom sacks of a Panther. It seemed gentle and poison-free, so he gave it a tentative pat on its tiny head before he stood again.

"EH?" Ramza gasped, eloquence lost as he took a hesitant step back from the kitten. It was not that he had never raised a creature before...but usually, it was a chocobo or another beast of battle, and there had either been a trainer or the creature's parent to help raise it.

These ones were so...tiny...and seemingly helpless. No venom, even. "Do they...grow larger?" he asked. If it was a full panther size, it would need a place in the stables, not in his tiny house/saloon.

He turned his mind away from kittens and back to business. "The flowers are for the memorial. If you have any, I would like purple wildflowers, and white lilies."

Wildflowers for Tietra, as he always left for her, and lilies for Zalbaag. They were symbols of the purity of a soul. Ramza thought his devout brother would have liked them.

Ramza studied the tiny cat. Thrice its size was still small, unless it grew exponentially. It would fit in his house... "I have a roommate now. I shall have to ask how he feels about raising a creature," he told the mage.

He took the flowers with a grateful nod. "That shall suffice. No need to package them. I plan to take them straight away."

Well, maybe not quite so fast as that. He needed to speak to Terra still. "How are you doing?" he asked her softly. "That dream you had upset you before."

Ramza nodded. "Yes, I saw my own, and those of a few of our friends. But they were twisted. The events we saw were not as they truly were." He was glad Terra had not interpreted the vision as the truth.

"...but I am glad you were able to see your parents. You had no memories of them before, did you?" It must have been painful to see her home destroyed, but she could cling to that silver lining.

Whatever Terra had seen, it had obviously not been a happy sight. Ramza gave her an encouraging nod.

"These people you saw...were they of your world, or Heroes of Light? In mine, Heroes were there to support me." It had been a great help to him during the battle they'd fought, though he had not wished them to see the darker moments of his past.

"It was not real," he insisted quickly. "You would not hurt anyone." He did not know the details, but he spoke with certainty. He met Terra's gaze and held it for a moment, unblinking. "You would never do something like that, outside of a dream."

He looked away. "Who did not help you?" he asked. He wanted names, of people who would hear from him for leaving Terra in distress. "We have a responsibility to help one another, and anyone who shirks that duty needs to answer for it."

Ramza resolved to find the hunter and make him answer for his actions.

He furrowed his brow at her words. "I do not think you capable of such acts. Was that truly you, or the other you?"

The Esper, perhaps, could have attacked people. They were creatures of power, and did not have the same values as a human. But Terra the girl, the gentle mage, he could not think there was darkness like that inside of her.

Ramza studied Terra's distraught expression.

"If you did it, you had a reason," he said firmly. He had faith in the mage, even if she had none in herself. "Whether you remember or not. You are not the kind to delight in destruction for its own sake."

Ramza waived away her apology. "You can always confide in me. I will never consider it a burden." Because while it was worrying to hear that Terra thought herself capable of harming innocents, it would have been more concerning if she had said nothing and suffered alone.

He gathered his flowers and slipped a few gil coins from his money pouch to pay her. "Is this enough?" he asked.
