Summary: Flynn was told to take a break. So he is. Begrudgingly. But at least he looks good in board shorts.

[It's a sunny day and Flynn leans back into the beach chair, unable to really relax - he was told to relax, and Flynn took orders rather seriously, but this was one thing he wasn't good with. That, and cooking, but he'd never admit to cooking badly. In any case, after navigating the odd world of sun screen Flynn takes a look and feels slightly at ease considering that there were many people minding their own business at the beach, so he felt less self-conscious than he thought he would.]

[Even though some people had gone home after the time at the beach, Bloom had decided to stick around for a few more days before going home. Today happened to be the time that she planned to head on back before Luffy thought about maybe heading off. She took the last few hours she had before she had to get back.

She wondered the beach, her toes digging into the sand as the waves flowed to and fro. She soon takes a seat, not noticing she was actually near anyone as she simply looked out at the ocean with a small smile.]

Such a nice beach.

Yeah, back in my world there wasn't a beach resort type of place like this.

There was a hot springs hidden away on another continent, but they didn't exactly make it easy to get there.

A hot spring resort in which isn't easy to get to? Why would they make it hard?

[That didn't make sense. If you wanted the business, then why would one not make it easy.]

Doesn't make sense, but I guess there is a reason for it.

Then again, getting from even one city to the next in Terca Lumireis was never an easy thing. The proprietors didn't seem to mind, though.

Is it okay to ask what your world was like? It sounds like it's pretty big?

[She leant over slightly. She really was interested in finding out more about others and where they came from.]

Huh, where do I start? It's not dissimilar to this world, but the threat of monsters was always a bit more severe - it came to the point where nearly every city had to rely on something called a "barrier blastia" to help keep the monsters out. Because of this, travel from one area to the next was rather uncommon.

barrier blastia. I assume blastia is like magic in your world then? If I am to figure that out correctly. But I guess that's the best way to protect people without a high number of people being able to deal with them.

[As she speaks she is thinking things over. it sounds like it would be a dangerous world if the barriers weren't there.]

Sounds like it's tough there. So what was it you do in your world?

I'm the Commandant of the Imperial Knights. So long story short, I take care of knightly affairs and how the knights interact with the public.

Question... You mention what you did as a knight, but I have to make sure if they are like the knight of stories. But if you needed to protect important people... is that something you do?

Well, it's a bit embarrassing to admit, but it wasn't long ago that we were simply chess pieces for the Empire to move around as they'd like to rule the world as they saw fit.

Luckily recently things have been making a turn for the better, but it hasn't been without its sacrifices.

I am sorry to hear that, but however so long as things are getting better, that is what matters, right... Even with sacrifices. [She gives a small smile.]

So long as you remember them, that helps as well. It seems like you will always remember at least.

You know how the human mind works, right? Once it gets comfortable, it tends to forget even the most basic of things.

I don't know details of how the human mind works, I just go with what I believe. I still remember the sacrifices people make.

But then again my mind is always busy with something else I have to deal with. So I guess my mind isn't comfortable.

It's probably a gift. Seeing things from different perspectives is something that shouldn't be taken for granted.

I've spent too much of my own life shackles to one viewpoint.

It's always best to go out there and view the world. When one does you do see things one might not usually see otherwise.

Though... What viewpoint did you have?

"Follow the rules, and things will work out". I can't even begin to tell you how many times that's been proven wrong again and again. Luckily, my friends forgave me for standing in their way so much in the end, but that's because I finally stepped up and did what was right.

That's good. I guess you followed what you believed was right and your friends understood that and forgave you for it. That just shows you have some good friends.

[She gives a small smile as she gives a little stretch.]

I'm sure here you'll follow what you think is right as well... That is what I've been doing myself.
