[K'pandolu's learnt some caution- enough not to be in first, at least. Fortunate for her, at least- but it's hardly a boon to be faced with the deeds of this Odin. The rider who appears in the Shroud brings tension and hopelessness, but… as best she knows, he has not laid waste to anyone, nor any hamlets.

Fear shows in her face for a moment before she steels herself, summoning her clone and moving in to strike.]

Preparing to Limit Break

...Johnny? [Barkeep never saw a man get dissected up close. Even if he is standing at the back, closer to Kobato, it's more gory than anything he's seen before.

This woman, Jenni. How dare she? She and the army barge into this city, attack Moogles and civilians, burn down the southern districts, kill their comrades, and who knows what else they plan to do. The Barkeep is done with all this. He's been running around the city all of yesterday and most of today, and he's not going to let her get away with his. Kobato mentioned that Summoners can't use their Eidolons too often, right? There's a chance to move in.

He feels something warm in his chest. Is it the adrenaline talking? He doesn't care, he's going to march up to the Psychic and give her a piece of his mind with no idea how he plans to fight her, apart from telling her what he thinks of her.

As he slowly crosses the battlefield, the Barkeep almost appears to be glowing.]

July 31st || The Fire Spreads

[K'pandolu nods, and moves around the warehouse to find another point from which to look into the building, steps careful and making as little sound as possible, Sika fluttering worriedly. There's certainly enough standing it could be cover for something, but… She squints, trying to get closer, but…]

There's no immediate signs, as far as I can tell, but…

[she draws back with a sigh.]

Do you see anything?

[Ven is a little winded by the time he reaches the roof, looking like a mess in his bloodstained armor. Regardless, he's focused and tensed and reacting as soon as he assesses the scene -- several Heroes, enormous weapon, and some kind of countdown.

Renewing his Spirit Surge on himself, he moves into a midway position and, once his brief spell delay is up, casts an experimental Bio at the weapon before taking quick stock of the other Heroes. No one he's fought alongside in earnest before, but that can't be helped.]

July 29 | After Airship Down

That’s all I ask.

[She smiles glancing around at those who were frantically running around. The tension would remain until the end of the battle and there was little that could be cone about that. Zelda releases a heavy sigh.]

I should go.

[There is much for her to do and with her loftwing she feels obligated to do as much as she can. Not many can fly as she does. She looks up at Sephiroth with a smile.]

I’m able to fly over the city. If you need me to check on any locations let me know. I move a lot quicker than others and I’m able to avoid the moolge killers.

[Mostly because she strikes them down.]

July 31st || The Fire Spreads

[Annie doesn't answer yet, checking the hole over and over again.]

Nothing so far. But they might be hiding from us. [He flutters to a nearby pile of debris and sifts through the wood and mud.] The only way to find out is to sneak in. Are you with me?

Mognet Office - Kopula the Hero has Arrived!

[Kopula seems to be holding on for the ride. A few of the moogle killers aim at him but they only succeed in shooting down the machine that he rode. He flutters into the air with that one down and then strikes at another before moving next to Vincent’s hiding spot to rest. He’s been at this for a while now and he doesn’t have a job like those around him.

His little chest heaves slightly as he looks up at the tall man.]

How many are there? Can we possibly hold them off kupo?

[There are a lot of people fighting but most are moogles which gives them a slight disadvantage.]

[Kopula nods.]

As long as you stay safe, kupo. [Zelda would be sad if any of the heroes were hurt and so Kopula wants to keep everyone safe. He wants to keep his beautiful hero happy. It’s a silly notion but he’s become smitten with the young goddess and she’s why he’s able to fight now. His strength comes from those he cares about.

Kopula flutters forward, back into the fray with his blade drawn. There are significantly less moogle killers though the battle still wages on.]

[Yuna smiles.]

That’s the one.

[With that she runs off towards the growing fire hoping to find it’s cause.]

[She nods once and then smiles.]

Be safe.

[With those words hovering between them she runs off into the chaos.]

[Yuffie just grunts. She can’t argue with him but pointing out that she got shot is a bit of a sore note. She wouldn’t have gotten shot if she could have gotten her plan off.

She peeks around the corner seeing two guard walk passed them.]

Right, so I’ll sneak up on them. You give me back up.

[Without letting him argue she slips from their hiding spot, walking silently across the wet pavement.]

It wasn't as though Ven could resist, not really, so despite a startled Hey! he didn't try to stop her. Instead, he attempted to put himself to use by watching to the left and right while Rae watched their backs, but the attempt didn't last long. Even under the cold rain and the throbbing in his injury -- made worse with every jolt of movement -- keeping his eyes open and his attention focused was one of the hardest things he'd ever done.

Try as he might, he couldn't stop his head from dropping down onto Terra's shoulder. After that everything went dark, silent, and -- thankfully, briefly -- numb.

[Oh. That explains why she's so upset. He wonders vaguely at the cause, but in the end it doesn't matter. She seems so vulnerable right now that all he can do is hold her tighter to better shield her from the illusory inferno.]

It's okay. Look.... most of the fires aren't real, right? So all we gotta do is beat up the illusionist that's making all the fake fires.

[He pulls away slightly so he can try to look her in the eyes.]

But we've got a whole bunch of people who can take care of that, okay? You don't have to stick around here.

Bonnie was in agreement with Carol, but more important were Kaji's words. The little moogle shook her head in response. "They're not just out here. There are some inside the office too. I came over as soon as I heard they were in trouble." She certainly had made a dramatic entrance, but that was only the first of many Killers in and around the building.

"If you're telling me to go in there then you better come help me take them down! I won't let my friends die because no one came to help!"

Terra - OPEN

[She nods though the motion is restricted with her head positioned against his chest. She doesn't want to see the fire anymore.]

Okay.

[It will be safer if she leaves, for her and for those fighting. Terra wishes she could be stronger but she feels her legs shake at the thought of fighting her imaginations. She can be strong but her memories were a dark place and there is no hope of light in them.

Coming to Crystallis is what made her strong; Bartz and those close to her became her light but it's still so hard to fight.]

"It will probably work out for the best if we keep some alive as incentive to keep the others working as we need."

[Vincent nods, not-smiling even if he's amused inside. He is not surprised that Yuffie tried that.]

She tends to be like that. Better as an ally though, and she has a good heart. Where is your house?

[Vincent is asking, so he can help Barkeep navigate any doors or other obstacles.]

Sparks gripes about the potion, but Ramza shrugs it off. It worked, and that's what matters.

"Shout if you need another," he tells Sparks before ducking back around the Scorpion's thrashing legs to resume hacking with Jack. He picks a different leg so that they won't be in too close of quarters to swing properly.

Artemis was right. And in his little cape, he did sort of look like a little hero. Reconsidering, Mogdelina nodded.

"Alright, kupo." It would be safer this way. Plus, they could take out the drones faster if they worked together. Seeing another one headed their way, Mogdelina readied her knife. "You go right, I'll go left?"

[And Albel had been annoyed that Johnny had managed to run faster than he had. That feeling was gone now. He skidded to a stop, staring in awe and horror as Odin appeared, slashing the other man in twain.]

[Johnny was gone. And Albel very well could have joined him.]

[The blood and gore didn't affect him as much as the others; he'd seen the wages of war. But it still made his heart pound hard to think how close he'd come to sharing Johnny's fate -- a man who, while clearly foolish, had seemed a decent sort.]

[Vincent is willing, and it might be easier for Barkeep than listening to directions.]
