Where: Aqures Tosf.
When: Night of August 03rd, twenty-eight years in the past.
Summary: As the Heroes of Light were transported to the past, it is now the conclusion of their time travel adventure. It is the final night of the Festival of Light and the city is filled with visitors-- As such, it is estimated there are currently at least a few million people on the Island. Can they be saved?
Warning: Terrible things.

[She'd done her best to hold her punches some what with her old friend, but in a moment like this when she's fully aware of what the future holds, she isn't one to let the world have its way.

She walks towards Yuffie, moving quick enough to grab her by the shoulder of her top to make her intentions known through not only words, but by the ferocity of her hold.]

It's because I know the future that I'm going to try! I don't care what we're told! I'm not going to stand by and let people die, at least not without trying! It's better to at least do something than to ignore it! Now you can either help me or get out of the way!

[Yuffie doesn’t try and move away. If Tifa wants to punch her then she can. It’s what friends are for. Except that Yuffie can’t just let her keep acting like this. She understands what Tifa is saying the problem is that it had stemmed from nowhere. For so long Tifa did nothing and that fact alone made Yuffie’s gaze narrow at her old comrade.]

You know the future? So you aren’t going to ignore it anymore? THEN WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING WITH SEPHIROTH PLAYING FUCKING HOUSE WITH THE GUY.

[Her head and voice lower as if expecting Tifa to hit Yuffie. It takes everything she has not try cry.]

You’re the one that’s in the way. I’ve been fighting and fighting and trying to help but what have you been doing? Even now I’m running to try and stop this and you telling me that I’m not doing anything. You’re THE ONE THAT’S IGNORING THE FUTURE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!

[It's been a long time since she's raised her hand at another woman. The last time she could remember leaving the welt of an open palm on some one had struck her first. It was something her teacher would have scolded her for, for certain. It was never appropriate to hit anyone, not unless there was cause for it or the need to protect oneself or someone in need. Neither existed for her in this moment, and the strike is prompted solely by the tone the other girl delivers.

It's unnecessary, the sort of bratty behavior she had assumed the ninja had left behind. She could forgive the complaints and whining, but this sort of conversation was unfounded and, quite frankly, a load of bull in her eyes. "Playing house?" Yuffie herself had seen first hand would could happen to some one when they were corrupted, preyed upon by their deeper feelings so as to become an instrument of destruction. The future of Aquares Ixen was certain, that much was true.

As for Nibelheim and the fate of the SOLDIER known as Sephiroth? That fate was yet to be decided..

The hit strikes hard, not a measure of Tifa's strength held back as she has every intention of letting the sting of her hand bring a sharp reminder to where Yuffie's mouth is; both physically and emotionally. By this point, Tifa's eyes have already begun to water, small tears pooling in the corners of her eyes when she's well aware that there is no hope in the actions she makes. She doesn't bother with words at this point, her hands simply clinging once more to Yuffie's shirt as she jerks the girl back towards her so that the slap doesn't let her drop to the ground.]

SAY IT AGAIN! I DARE YOU! SAY IT AGAIN THAT I'M IGNORING THE FUTURE!!

You think I don't know?! There's no point in trying to save these people, right?! Maybe there is no point in trying to be friends with Sephiroth.. BUT SO THE FUCK WHAT?! If you've got so much time to point the finger at me, then pull your head out of your own ass and stop running away from all of this only to start talking about it in the middle of a war!

I'm doing what I've always done.. I'm trying to save a planet! I'm trying to save people, even if it is hopeless! That's what I do!! I DO WHAT I CAN EVEN WHEN THE WORLD SEEMS LIKE IT IS GOING TO END!

Now, you're either with me, or you're in the way! If playing nice to some one to hopefully tip them into NOT becoming a psychopath is ignoring the future, then so be it! I'm ignoring the future! At least I'm doing something! What have you done, Yuffie?! Huh?!

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING WITH YOUR TIME?! If it isn't worrying because of you being kidnapped, or trying to get you to see that holding onto these grudges from home don't work here, it's having to hear you still go on like a spoiled fucking brat!! YOU'RE A WOMAN, GOD DAMN IT! SO START ACTING LIKE IT!

[With a final grip, she pushes her arms forward shoving the girl out of her clutches. She only stares at Yuffie one final moment, just before turning to the side to run in the direction of an impeding monster.]

[Yuffie just stands there and listens, if only because she can't exactly move away with Tifa holding on to her.]

You don't even know what I've been doing? Do you even care about me anymore? Were we ever even friends? You don't talk to me... this is the most you've said to me since waking up in Crystallis.

[Tears dot her eyes as she looks up towards Tifa.]

I've been fighting so hard... to save Gaia and Cloud. Not the one here... our Cloud. [The one she misses.] I keep fighting and I've always been alone...

I was stupid to think that'd change after I left Wutai.

[Her voice is soft though barely reaching Tifa's ears.]

I'll save Gaia on my own. [It's just like Wutai. She'd save it, she'd save everyone.

Yuffie turns as Tifa does and runs. There is no time to waist here.]

[Concepts of time had never been Tifa's strong suit. She was always waiting for the right moment, the perfect chance, and setting things off when she felt they were not as critical as other tasks. Unfortunately, she'd been wrong is putting Yuffie aside, worrying more about the safety of the city than hearing her friend out.

No matter. She'd do what she could when things resolved here. What mattered now was making it out of this horrible flashback alive.

Feet set to the ground so that she's now off in a sprint, knowing full well that Yuffie is more than capable of handling herself in situations such as these. Be it a monster or another angry woman, she knew the ninja would be safe.]
