Event || Genesis (Conclusion)

Characters: Everyone!
Where: Aqures Tosf.
When: Night of August 03rd, twenty-eight years in the past.
Summary: As the Heroes of Light were transported to the past, it is now the conclusion of their time travel adventure. It is the final night of the Festival of Light and the city is filled with visitors-- As such, it is estimated there are currently at least a few million people on the Island. Can they be saved?
Warning: Terrible things.

[ So did Selen, so they both wouldn't be at too much of a disadvantage. However, they were strangers right now, so Selen wasn't going to push too much comradeship with her. It wasn't hard to hear that voice and Selen rather liked strong people.

Selen sends another row of monsters into oblivion before chuckling and speaking again. ] It's fine dear. Do what you got to do and I have your back.

[ Selen mused. While Sheena wasn't used to using swords, Selen was exceptionally skillful with them, so she was moving rather fluidly through the monsters, to let Sheen do what she wanted. ]

[ Oh. They'll get along famously then. But now wan't the time to talk and get to know each other. ]

Thanks.

[ She hesitated a moment as she watched the other woman's skill with her weapon before herding the civilians who had wandered in to the area towards a safer area.

She could marvel at Selen's skill later, she had to take of these people first. ]

Go! Move that way! We've got you covered!

[ They definitely will! A good friendship always develops from a great fight! ]

You don't need to thank me, just keep doing what you need to do, sweetheart

[ She chuckled at the other's response. Selen was taking them down one by one while making sure that Sheena was able to lead people away from the battle damage. Sheena was unbelievably calm in this situation too as she was helping the citizens escape. Selen was curious about her. ]

[ That was one thing about Sheena. Even though she might rush into things, when it came to fighting or protecting others, she was all business.

Besides, it's not too hard to remain calm when you come from a world where encounters with monsters are an everyday occurrence. ]

All right! Be careful!

[ She protects and worries about everyone, Selen; it's her way. It's also her way to take out a monster that had decided one of the civilians looked like a good target.

Not on her watch. ]

[ They won't have much to argue about since Selen's priorities matched her to an extent. True enough. That's the world that Selen came from so it made sense that if Sheena was used to some things, then it must mean it was typically normal in her world. Not that Selen would know for a fact, but it was a general assumption. ]

Don't worry your pretty head about me~

[ She replied with a big jump at another handful of monsters. Her sword cleaved them without much effort and if there were more, she started using her job abilities to clean them up faster. That's fine and Selen will tell her to keep watching the civilians more than her is all. ]

[ Oh good. Sheena had already had one argument with one of the Heroes; she really didn't want to have another one.

Chuckling wryly, Sheena turned back to the woman while showing more civilians which way to go. ]

Yeah. I can see you know what you're doing. Let me guess. You come from a world with monsters, too?

It seems to be the case with most people. I can say the same for you, yeah?

[ She chimed in a sing song voice. Selen would rather not engage in full out battles with people for the time being.

There was no reason for it and there were more important things to care about right now than other people's egos. ]

Think we'll be clearing up soon? They're not letting down.

[ Sheena nodded. ]

Yeah, but I've never seen anything like these, before. Who knew I'd actually miss a tree that hits you with green peppers?

[ Did she mentioned that some of the creatures on her world were a little odd? ]

I don't know... If I could summon, I'd be able to make a path, but maybe if we just did a quick assault that way... [ And she pointed with her katana after cutting down a monster. ] we could stop them at the source?

[ She didn't know if that was where the source was, but if they could at least slow them down a little... ]

That's quite a saying you got there, dear.

[ Selen chuckled to her words as she swiped another round of monsters. ]

The source would be best, if not we need to evacuate the people before the source gets to us.

[ She replied with a nod of her head as she looked where Sheena was pointing. ]

Well I suppose we'll be in for chase. I can't see beyond this so we'll have a tough time figuring out where the source is directly. You still up for it?

It's not a saying. We actually have trees that hit you with green peppers.

[ And pumpkins, but she wasn't mentioning that. ]

I know--on both counts, but if we don't do something about the number of those creatures coming at us right now, we won't be able to evacuate anyone.

[ For an idealist, Sheena could certainly be realistic at times.

Smiling at the woman, she nodded. ]

Yep! Wouldn't be the first time I've been chased or done the chasing, and it probably won't be the last, either. Shall we go?

That's fascinating.

[ That earned a laugh from Selen at her words. The other worlds out there were sure very unique and interesting in their one way huh? She didn't seem to behave too strangely towards the response. ]

Let's get serious then and clean them out as fast as we can before we tire.

[ She replied, smugly as she raised her sword. A quick change of job class and she was in her Dark Knight. ]

Then let's do this right now. While you cover the rear, I'll take the front. Get people to move to one side and we'll find the nest at the end.

[ She mused with a grin on her face as she already tore down the path. ]

Remind me to draw you a picture of them sometime.

[ Well, Sheena's world has strange creatures living inhabiting it, and there's been more than one occasion where she's had to wonder about them herself. So, nope. Not gonna react strange at all to the response. ]

I'm always serious when it comes to battle.

[ Said with a smile as she takes out another creature with her blade while roundhouse kicking another one back towards its fellows. Sheena doesn't have to change--her Ninja class is definitely the thing she needs right now--especially for speed. ]

Right. [ The acknowledgement is barely out of her mouth before she's engaged with once monster after another, keeping them away from her new comrade as she clears a path for both of them.

Occasionally pointing to one side or the other, she gets people out of the way as she follows the other woman towards the nest. ]

That would be nice to see!

[ Whatever the case may be, they both had a task at hand, so she would definitely keep note of what their priorities are at the moment. Selen was glad to hear the young woman was fired up for her battle. ]

Perfect! Then there is nothing else I need to say.

[ She replied as she takes out more of the creatures and making a line so that Sheena could clear the people and cover her if necessary. Selen was working her best to take the brunt of the work rather than letting her companion, who was taking care of the civilians work any harder than she was.

Their hard work would eventually pay off when they finally clear enough distance for the people to stay safe and the beasts were following them instead to its nest. ]

[ Sheena was a little busy taking out monsters and clearing civilians to answer--more proof that she was, indeed, very serious when it came to fighting. Afterwards, she might make a joke or wry comment, but right now, all her attention was on the task at hand.

And once that was done, and the civilians no longer the beasts' target, she didn't hesitate to come up behind Selen, goading the creatures to follow them, even as she continued taking out the ones in the thickening crowd ahead. ]

[ ooc: we can handwave the final battle with the monsters if you'd like. :) ]

we can end it with this post. We can assume the did all of the above and battles etc since this is quite old! :D now we can do more new CRs :>
