Characters: Everyone!
Where: Aqures Tosf.
When: Night of August 03rd, twenty-eight years in the past.
Summary: As the Heroes of Light were transported to the past, it is now the conclusion of their time travel adventure. It is the final night of the Festival of Light and the city is filled with visitors-- As such, it is estimated there are currently at least a few million people on the Island. Can they be saved?

[ Luckily for Sephiroth, Sheena's accustomed to fighting alongside people who use a variety of weapons--including two swords at once, a kendama, and chakra. Not always the usual fighting fare, but it had worked for them. Hell, she uses cards as weapons, normally.

And she's more than up to spar with him--no matter how unevenly matched they may be. Watching a technique and going up against it are two different things; one leading to a better understanding than the other.

Seeing him slow and stop, Sheena does the same, both her ears and katana at the ready as she scans the area with him. ]

[As Sheena mentions it Sephiroth's gaze rises and looks to the nearest rooftop edge, then scans down that building in an attempt to pick out ledges he might use to get up there. Being limited to human-jump capabilities is a bitch, and it's bitter to think that he had access to maxed Dragoon through his Crystal which would have helped...

...but the last time he'd been jumping using that Job...it's better not to remind himself of that failure.

There isn't anything he can see, nearby, that he'd even be able to scale without more effort than they had time.]

Can you-

[He glances back to Sheena, wondering if she had access to a Job that might assist here. Canting his head in a nod towards the lowest ledge he was able to pick out.]

-Could you jump that?

[While he tries to ignore the renewed burn to his pride in the fact that he wasn't personally capable.]

[ Sheena is also limited in what she can do, but she has a training that she had worked hard for within her. A training that's definitely been augmented by what's happened to her since her arrival.

She just had to figure out the best way to let those new skills help her.

Following Sephiroth's gaze, she moves a little further, surveying the area until she finds what she's looking for. Smiling she comes back. ]

How are you as a bouncing ball?

[Had this been Gaia, had he been mako-infused here as he was there Sephiroth would probably have already leaped up and be waiting for Sheena on the lowest rooftop. As it was, though he knew the mechanics of how to jump like that he simply -in his human-ness- doesn't have anyway to conjure that amount of thrust from just within his own legs.

It's seeming that getting atop a roof would be hopeless but then Sheena comes back with a smile on her face. Curious, yet a little unsure of her intention he doesn't hold back with the obvious question.]

What do you mean?

[An open invitation, of course, to show him what she has in mind.]

[ Isn't he lucky to know someone who was trained as a ninja before she had even arrived here? She may have some new knowledge and skills, but the old ones are still there.

Her smiling grows wider at the question. ]

Just what I said. We can bounce back and forth from wall to wall, making our way further up with each ricochet.

I've done it several times. You just need buildings not too far apart, but not too close together, either.

So, you up for it?

[ Congratulations, Sephiroth. You are about to be trained in part of the Igaguri style. ]

[So, they just need an alleyway that's narrow enough and a whole lot of luck that their grip doesn't miss or slide, especially the higher that they get up.

He's not so sure about Sheena's idea and doesn't bother to mask the same, though he is inspecting the closest alleyway to them, wondering if it might be suitable. Again, if it had been Gaia it would have been a sinch. With his current Job configuration; he's less than confident.

He almost wants to ask what Jobs Sheena had equipped currently but it feels rude, and that'd be admitting in a way that he's less capable.]

If you've done it before, well then lets see.

[Maybe it would be possible, but he's not holding his breath. At the very least Sheena could tell which way they are to go from the rooftop; doesn't mean he had to get up there too.]

[ Well, that's one way to put it. But it's something Sheena's done so many times that she can probably do it in her sleep.

Seeing his expression, she smiles and shakes her head. ]

It's okay if you don't want to. [ Then, her expression becomes thoughtful. ] You know it's probably better that we split up. I can look up there and you can keep an eye out down here.
