We need to get the people to the docks. Drive the beasts in the opposite direction if you can.
[Before the lightning had grounded itself fully, Ramza charged straight at the twitching creature, knocking it down with his full weight and momentum.]
Go now! [He ordered the citizens the monster had pinned into a corner.]

You heard him! Go! We'll cover you.
[but it still takes a moment before they stir, clearly still frozen by the sight of the monster- and perhaps, too, by those fighting it. K'pandolu keeps them in the corner of her eye as they eventually do, placing herself between the beast and the people as she draws her sword.]

His fists did more damage to himself than they did to the stone beast, so Ramza gave up punching and looked around wildly for any sort of weapon. There was some sort of wooden stick protruding from a rubbish bin. He snatched it, trusting K'pandolu to cover him while he moved to arm himself. He was pleasantly surprised to find the bat had nails driven into the wood.]
Let's finish this one. Then we make sure the escape path is clear for them.
[He swung the nail bat at the monster, and it was much more effective than either sword or fist had been.]

[ugh, golems. At least this one looks like it should be less trouble than the Temple Guardian…
She casts Blizzara at the creature as Ramza moves, meaning to keep it occupied while he grabs the weapon.
Ramza's blow leaves a mark, some of the stone crumbling. K'pandolu makes to follow up with a second spell cast at the weakened area.]

Well done. Now, onward!
[He hurried after the retreating townsfolk, not wanting to lose sight of them. He could hear growls and screams in the distance; there were many more obstacles to pass through before the city was safe.]

There!
[and she unleashes the spell on the Ochu.]

Watch out!
[Ramza threw up an arm to shield his face from the poison cloud as best he could. He moved through it, pitching forward to swing his bat at the monster. He could feel the burn of poison in his lungs, but it would be a while before it incapacitated him.]

Ramza's blow strikes hard and true, and K'pandolu moves to follow up with a second strike at the heart of the beast, before any more poison can erupt from its body.]
