What: During the downtimes of building Fai drags Yuna away for a romantic date... or as romantic as one can be currently.
Where: At a random spot in the city and another secret spot.

[Today had been another busy day and Fai had been doing the best he could to help, but even with him they didn't manage as much. After all they had to work from the ground up, which he knew would take a while. But with the work done for the day and the sun slowly starting to set, Fai decided to go pay a visit to a certain someone and see if she had the time. he had things prepared, all he needed now was her.

Making his way over he could see her, working hard as per usual. A smile was firm on his face as he slowly started to make his way behind her, hoping to catch her by surprise and when he was close enough he wrapped his arms around her so that his hands were in front of her face.]

We'll just see, after all I can seem to read faster than the average person thanks to my Scholar Job. So that could come in handy.

[Although he hasn't quite fully mastered it quite yet, that would still take a little longer. Placing his fork down finally, he had finished. All that was left was Yuki to come out and take the plates. He knew Yuki had something else figured out but he wondered if that could be saved for later.]

Yuki-chan~

[As if he knew that was coming, Yuki was already nervously coming out, slowly going to the table and picking up the plates.]

Would that be all, kupo?

[Yuna looks over as Yuki comes out and smiles. She doesn’t know when it happened but she feels fondly towards the shy little moogle. She always sees him trying his best even when he’s a little nervous.]

Yes, it was wonderful. [Her smile grows with each word.] Thank you Yuki!

[There are times she addresses Yuki as Yuki-chan as well but it’s only when the little moogle is doing something particularly cute. Yuna can’t help herself; Celes is never like that though he is a lot more rash and loud than Yuki. It’s probably a good thing that her moogle wasn’t here.]

[He soon took the plates away, staying in the back as Fai had figured to finally stand up moving over to Yuna before holding out his hand.]

I think we'll save desert till later, don't you think?

[His hand was still extended for the other to take.]

Now what we do next is all up to you. It can be something romantic, or something normal. It's all up to you.

Yeah.

[She is too full to eat anything else anyway.

Yuna takes Fai's hand letting the warmth seep into her fingers as she rose from her seat. She doesn't need help getting up but she enjoys holding onto Fai's hand.

His next statement tints her cheeks a light red.]

Something romantic or something normal? What would we do that's romantic? [She feels like there is a very fine line, unless he's talking about something else.]

You know, I don't actually have a clue.

[If mostly because he's never been in anything quite like this before. Romance and those types of feelings were something he never felt and never really had to. Pretending was one thing being genuine is another.]

I think that's why I was letting you decide since I figured you would know more than I would right now.

[Yuna wishes that she could stop blushing but her mind is racing with thoughts that don’t feel like her own. She shakes her head and then pulls a smile over her lips. It’s obvious that she’s a little nervous but she’s happy.]

It might sound boring but let’s go for a walk. I think it’s romantic and he can head outside the city.

[It’s dark out but they’d be able to handle themselves and they can head towards the coast. The night is still warm thanks to the hot summer sun and by now stares would have begun to shine.]

[As he watched her, Fai was wondering just what was going on in the young girls head to make her blush to much. He knew it couldn't be anything he said since he hasn't teased her this whole time. Then what exactly could it be? maybe he'll ask later. But for now he simply nods as he starts to show her towards the door, letting Yuki clean up the table and blow out the candle for the mean time.]

A walk isn't boring. Especially at night.

[She will agree that walking isn’t boring and she’s a little happy to hear him say so as well. She steps through the door, letting the cooler night air calm her nerves. It’s nice and she can’t feel nervous when she’s able to breath in the fresh air that brushes past them.]

I think so to.

[She keeps her hand in his, walking towards the city limits. A broken down city isn’t very romantic but walking through the plans outside would be or at least Yuna thought so. She’s never really tried so hard to think about something like that. More often than not things happened and they were rarely planned.]

[There was nothing he wanted to say right now as his hands couldn't help but grip the others as they walked through the cold but yet rather refreshing air. It was a nice breeze and after a hard day of work it felt really good. When they reached the limits his mind wondered how far it could be before there would be monsters. He hoped they wouldn't wonder that far.

Still keeping a tight grip on her hand, but not too tight he continued to walk.]

You know, one never really appreciates what beauty there is until you find yourself in a situation like this.

[Yuna can't banish the smile that's taken over her lips. Just being able to walk with Fai like this made her heart skip in her chest.]

Really? I've always found myself stopping and staring at places as I journeyed on my way to Zanarkand but then.. [She pauses, her gaze looking up towards the bright dots that litter the sky.] I always thought it'd be my last time looking at it. It's a habit I haven't really broken.

[Yuna steers them slightly,, snaking their path around the city and towards the chococo farm. She remembers a cliff on the far side of the farm where the water would crash against the rocks and the moon would hang overhead. It'd be safe enough to travel to at night, as long as they were careful.]

You'd be surprised.

[Then there are those that cause situations like Acid Tokyo and ruin everything. Now that he thought back to that, he was hoping that those people really did do what they had to make it better. Then again since it was Clow in the past, he already knew the answer.]

I think I know where you are going. [Helps that he world near the farm when he first arrived here really as he gives a sly smile before going right back on topic again.] But at least your habit isn't a bad one. I think that's cute. Then again what isn't cute?

[Yuna's gaze lingers on the stars before turning back towards Fai. He is one of few who could probably surprise her with the things he's seen though she isn't going to pry.]

Do you? [She isn't surprised if he caught on to her plan.

As he continues her cheeks flush a bright rosy pink.] Um.. what isn't cute? You mean about me?

[He nodded slightly, glancing up at the stars as they walked. It seemed peaceful and nice. Something they all needed right about now. He did have some idea about her plan and he didn't mind either, it was a nice place after all.]

Yes. There are plenty of cute things about you, I can't think of something that isn't. Not a bad thing either if I am honest.

[Yuna is used to compliments though his comment makes her laugh softly.]

That's really nice of you to say Fai. I don't know how true that is. I have just as many faults as others.

[Her mismatched gaze looks up at the stars, her steps taking her a little closer to Fai's side as they walk hand in hand. As time and distance passed the ranch and the cliff slowly came into view.]

I know, I have many, many faults myself. However if one can see those faults and still like you even with them, then isn't that a good thing? No matter what I'll still like you.

[He could see the cliff and knew it wasn't going to take them long. When they got to the spot he stopped walking and moved to let go of her hand so he could sit down for the moment. Once he was settled he patted the ground next to him for her to sit down.]

I think so.

[She smiles and is grateful that the slight tint to her cheeks is almost hidden in the moonlight.

Yuna watches Fai take a seat, her eyes pulled away from the beautiful setting in front of them. She sits down next to him settling close enough to feel her arm brush lightly against his.]

So what do you think?

[She looks up at him with a smile, her hand gesturing towards the scene in front of them. She could hear the water crashing against the shore below as the light from the moon glints of the turning seas.]

What do I think of the view or the place itself? I assume the view in which case it's beautiful at night. It's nice during the day it's nothing compared to this.

[His arm slowly moved up until it reached over to her shoulder, pulling her in slightly so she was up against him. Even if for a moment it was silent and he could take the sights and sounds it and he wouldn't mind it since she was there. It was still strange to have someone he cared about that much, but as he used the moment to think about it, it was a nice feeling to have. One he wouldn't want to change anyway. Holding her close still he rested his head on top of hers.]

What are your thoughts on the view?

[Her gaze is on the sky as he responses each word widening her smile by the smallest fraction. Yuna leans against him, her head resting comfortably on his shoulder.]

It's nice to share it with you.

[Yuna's voice is soft complimenting the ambient noises around them: the crashing of the waves against the cliff side, the humming of bugs and the soft rustle of the breeze over their perch above the sea.]

It's really pretty.

And I'm glad you did.

[He was taking note in his mind at the stares and how they were positions to see if they matched up with any other place he had been to, but none really sprung to mind, which in his mind meant nothing he already knew would be here even star wise. He also took note of a few others things as well, such as coming back here someday again. For now though he just held her close and looked up at the twinkling stars.]

I hope this wasn't a bad date. I mean for me it was nice... You can tell though I don't really have a clue about this whole dating thing.

[At least for someone he actually liked. When he faked how he felt it was a different matter.]

[Yuna shakes her head slowly, her eyes falling close as a smile continues to pull at her lips.]

It was perfect because it was with you. [Her cheeks tint a light red as she spoke. It's a little embarrassing to say but she wants him to know. The feeling that bubbles in her chest when he's near, the strength and weakness she feels around him. She can't explain it as anything other than what it is but for now she'll keep the frantic fluttering of her heart to herself.]

[She doesn't really expect him to be nervous or unsure about what a date is. He can always ask Celes. Yuna knows that her moogle goes on many dates.]

[He couldn't help but smile. He was glad that it was perfect in her eyes because that was just the way he wanted it to be. Then again even if it went horribly wrong, for him it still would have been okay. It was a strange thought, but one he was sure he would want to keep thinking.]

I thought it was perfect as well.

[He moved his head so he was looking at the top of her head. His heart beating faster as his shifted his body slightly before using his free hand to lightly touch the bottom of her chin to move her head.]

But the reason it was perfect is because your perfect to me.

[Yuna's cheeks flush as his fingers slowly move her head. Just the light pressure of his finger tips sends thrills down her spine. It's different than anything she has felt before as if each moment with him built upon the next.]

Fai?

[She isn't perfect but knowing that he thought so brought butterflies to her chest. Her lips suddenly feel dry as her eyes lock with his.]

[His smile was soft and his heart was pounding faster than he sure was possible. He had never felt this nervous before and all over one person. But this seemed like the perfect time at least. Things were peaceful and it was just the two of them. Nothing could spoil it, right?

It wasn't like this was his first time, but yet this time it was different. It was to someone he cared about the most here. Leaning in slightly his fingers still under her chin his lips soon lightly touched hers.]

[ The night quiets as he leans forward as if the symphony of sound around them is drowned out by the wild beatings of their hearts. Like a bird trying to break from of its cage, Yuna can feel the drumming in her chest with each small change. His breath brushes against her cheek moments before their lips met.

Then it is as if time stands still.

Warmth licks up her spine as tendrils of heat thrill out to her fingertips. A complete feeling settles in her stomach and her heart begins to regain its usual tempo. It’s a giddy feeling though it’s different from any other kiss she’s had in the past. It’s with Fai and in that moment she realizes the depth of her affection for the man who now held her intimately against him. Yuna leans into his kiss, her hand slowly reaching out, fingertips brushing against his neck before lightly cupping his cheek. Her own cheeks are flushed a bright red but Yuna isn’t focused on that. She is focused on the warm of his lips, the drumming of her heart; she’s focused on Fai as if the world around them had vanished into the night.

It’s a singular moment in time and yet she never wanted it to end.]

[He could feel her hand upon his cheek and as there lips parted he wished it could go on, but they had to break at some time. With a warm smile, but even though it had ended, he still could feel it and it still felt nice.]

I think that was probably the perfect way to end this night. Although I'm not sure I want it to end just yet.
