THE ROOM(MATE)
WHO: Rukia Kuchiki, OPEN (especially to people in B-03)
WHAT: Rukia explores the city to learn how to navigate this new placeand to find the best trees to climb what no, as well as get a look at the house where she was assigned to live.
WHEN: Backdated to September 5th - Early Evening
WHERE: Aqures Ixren, then B-03
WARNINGS: None. Rukia is short.
[Moving Around the City]
Chappopo the Moogle was lucky. The hero she'd been assigned to was a couple of inches under five feet tall. As such, there was no need to worry about keeping up with a long-legged stride. Rukia's pace was brisk and confident, but her stride was short. She showed her curiosity without reservation, moving past the populace and pausing occasionally to examine a vendor's cart or a shop window. Doing so allowed her to catch a glimpse of her reflection. The ninja's hood and mask were slipped down long ago, and she was relieved to find that her appearance was largely unchanged. She still looked as she had when she was a Soul Reaper.
"I should like to know the places of importance," Rukia said, pulling herself away from a clothing shop. Wearing robes of black so openly amongst other humans was a little strange, but at least she wasn't alone. She saw at least one or two others wearing the same ninja garments as she did.
"Kupo? Should we visit the airship port?"
Rukia smiled. Airships... She could imagine what those would be like. She inclined her head. "I would like that, thank you."
Maybe they could get something to eat, as well. Surely they would have given her some of these 'gils' they'd mentioned, to see to her basic needs.
[Finding B-03]
It was dark by the time Rukia had got her fill of the city. There was still much more to see (particularly the Chocobo Stables, which were closed much to her disappointment), but she was tired and more than ready to rest. Following Chappopo's directions, Rukia approached the house to which she was assigned. It seemed like a comfortable place, at least from the outside. As to what the interior held, she couldn't guess. Rukia rapped politely on the front door with her knuckles.
"There will be others living here as well?"
"Three, I believe," Chappopo answered.
Rukia nodded slowly, thoughtful. Interesting. It would be good in any case to meet others who were better versed in the world and the duties of being a Hero of Light. She stood patiently on the front step, arms resting loosely at her sides.
"I'll leave you to it, then. Good night, Rukia-po!"
She smiled warmly. "Good night to you as well. Thank you for your guidance this day."
[OOC: Still new, feel free to let me know if I made a mistake, and I'll edit!]

As for moving, she was impressed with his offer. Rather gentlemanly. She used the flat of the knife to slide the sliced fruit onto a plate and set it aside. "That won't be necessary for my sake," she advised. "I am not above sharing another's quarters. I can change my clothing in the bathroom." Picking up a wet cloth, she cleaned up the cutting board, then rinsed off the knife. If she was going to be their roommate, then she wasn't about to be That Slob Roommate.
"Actually, there was a matter I wished to discuss with you." Rukia picked up the fruit, then walked into the living room to shorten the span between them. "Do you think it would be possible to stack one bed on top of the other? Bunk beds would create much more living space."

Jack ponders what Rukia has to say, watches carefully as, at least she's cleaning up after herself. (Jack would characterize Chiaki as the Untidy Roommate, but at least she keeps it confined to her room.) "Shouldn't be too hard?" Jack might have to take a look at the beds, themselves. He plops down into one of the chairs in the living room, taking a load off his own feet. "Might have to build a brace or something, keep them stacked and balanced, but we can work with it."
Jack nods at Rukia's clothing. "Where were you before this? For me, it was Cardiff, Wales, uh, Earth," a small smirk, because now he has to qualify that. "Early 21st century."

"Is that so? I wondered how it was you would be familiar with those traditions." She nodded her approval. Already she was feeling very much at ease speaking with this person; she decided she was going to enjoy living here, with all three of these new and welcoming acquaintances.
She ate a little as he talked, perching herself on the arm of the sofa. She offered the plate as well, so as not to be rude. "I believe that was the time I hailed from as well. I was assigned to the Karakura district of Tokyo, Japan." And since she'd yet to experience any ill sort of reaction to her profession, she saw no reason to hesitate here either.
"But I formally live in the Seireitei of Soul Society. I am a Soul Reaper, serving under Captain Jyushirou Ukitake of the 13th District." Since he'd given a title that she assumed was military based, he was the first to hear hers.
