Summary: Flynn awakes in the hospital, decrystallized and retaining his memories from his first stint here.

[Had it really been several months since he last remembered? It seemed like only yesterday when he was on the beach in Balicea forced to take a vacation. Wandering about the streets, he wondered if Yuri was all right, or if he somehow came down with the same affliction - at least his body seemed to be okay. But he'd need to get moving around - there was no good time to just sit around and do nothing, and he had several months he had to make up for it. So you may see him wandering about, pondering whether to buy certain foods (don't eat his cooking though) or wandering outside his old home - apparently he had been reassigned, but he was on the lookout for Yuri.]

[Yuffie’s mouth began to run away from her the instant he asked.]

It sucks! You left and then shit went to hell and I might have slept in your bed a few times but I don’t know if that’s still your room now? Yuri is still a jerk but he bought me food and said he’d brush my hair so he’s forgiven for now. The Empire went more crazy and then things exploded and Kalki is a jerk and the crystals might make us be stuck here and no one is doing anything. [Yuffie included.] More crazy dream stuff happened and everything just sucks

[When she finally finishes she’s panting slightly, her expression exasperated and annoyed. However a second later she’s smiling again.]

But I’m so glad that you are back! You are much nicer than Yuri.

Well, it's good to be back.

[As much as he could muster any kind of truth out of that.]

Yuri has his good points, too, and some points which he's better than me at. I'm glad you hold me in such high regard, though.

[Yuffie puts her hands behind her head with a toothy grin.]

I know, don’t get me wrong, I really like Yuri. [He just likes to tease her and Yuffie likes to complain.] …but I like you too.

Also! That’s sorta depressing. We should do something fun!

[Since he disappeared last time though Yuffie has no idea what they could do besides eat.]

[blink blink. he was getting whiplash at Yuffie's emotional u-turns.]

Well, what's fun to do around here?

Not all that much.

[She squints slightly as if in thought.]

I mean there are things to do just not here. Not since half the city was destroyed. [Except the stadium is back.]

We can drink?

Are you old enough to be partaking in spirits?

[Flynn crosses his arms and sternly looks at Yuffie.]

[Yuffie gives Flynn a flat stare. She's not doing this fight again.]

I'm about to turn nineteen and the age limit here is eighteen. Besides, I've been drinking since I was young.

[She gives Flynn a critical look.]

And what about you? You look like you could be younger than me.

[He has such a baby face.]

I'm twenty one, the same as Yuri!

[Flynn crossed his arms]

Look, I was just concerned, all right? Besides, just because you can drink doesn't automatically mean you should drink!

[She now knows how old Yuri is which is always helpful.]

You're only two years older than me than. [2-3 years technically but Yuffie's going to take the shorter time.]

Do you not drinking?

[She doesn't see what the big deal is.]

Occasionally for social events.

I've been taught not to drink to make yourself feel better, but to feel even better.

Well... yeah.

[It's honestly the same for Yuffie, more so considering her ex. best friend is a bar tender and always stops her after two drinks. Reno is similarly protective of her and having her not get drunk which generally annoys the young princess.]

Let's do that. Besides Im happy to see you and I'll feel even happier with a drink.

[She isn't going to let Flynn argue. She'll take him by the hand and pull him towards one of the taverns. She's pretty sure they have stuff to drink.]

There is no arguing with you - I concede.

[He smiles as he's dragged along]

Just nothing too strong for me, all right?

[Yuffie looks over with a bright smile.]

What counts as too strong?

[Just so she knows.]

Uh... anything stronger than a virgin?

[Yuffie blinks up at Flynn but she doesn't break her pace.]

So you can't handle any alcohol?

[Wasn't he just saying something about drinking?]

Well, I can drink, it's just that I don't very often.

[Maybe with Yuri on occasion, but not with his coworkers or anything like that.]

It was just never high on my list of priorities.

[Well this is going to be interesting. She pauses outside of a tavern before pushing the heavy door open and walking inside. She glances back at Flynn before finding them both a seat at the bar.

Without even asking him she asks for two beers from the bartender. She isn't really giving him a choice on what to drink.]

[Flynn downs it. Not that was the best choice, but he was going to prove he wasn't some stick in the mud.]

Sure.

[Yuffie looks at him with a smile and then turns to her drink and gulps it down in a few quick swallows. The glass clinks on the counter as she looks at the bar tender.]

Two more!

What's your record, Yuffie?

[Yuffie shrugs with a warm smile pulling at her lips.]

I don't know. I usually drink sake... with beer.. I think 5 but it depends on how fast I drink them?

[She doesn't remember.]

[dammit_yuri]

Impressive.

[whistles]

You usually go at it alone or with others?

[Yuffie shrugs.]

Others, drinking alone is really depressing.

[Luckily she is now friends with Reno has become a big brother whenever she feels like going out and doing something stupid.]

I suppose so. Plus there are times when being around others is what you need. Then again, for some people, having some alone time is also a necessity.

[if anything, being in this world was nice because he didn't necessarily have the responsibilities thrust upon him back on Terca Lumireis.]

It's different for all sorts of people.

Right but you have to admit there is something different about being alone and drinking alone.

[Though she supposes that it has to do with intention as well.]
