What: A week late Halloween celebration.

Warnings: The Heroes and a party. What could possibly go wrong?

On November 5, another letter from Johnny would go out to everyone reminding them of the costume party, and invite all the newbies along as well. Costumes are a necessity for entrance, except for the newbies, since they've only been here a little over 24 hours now.

The Observatory is in its usual party set up, but this time with an added stage area for any musicians who would like to perform. It's also the spot set up for the costume contest later on. The whole place is covered in festive Night of the 13 Moogles decorations, and as always, there's plenty of food and drinks.

[Chiaki has gone all out for the party, walking in wearing some sort of blue bug alien costume. It's hard to tell it's even her until she takes the elaborate mask off to get some air. She seems pretty satisfied with the outfit, even though it's extremely unlikely anyone will recognize what it's from.]

Whew... it took a while to make, but it was worth it.

[Zelda is determined to guess where this might be from but she's really at a loss. She isn't planning to ask the origin of anyone's costumes but she's more than a little curious after seeing Chiaki's.]

What is it?

[Her voice is soft while bright blue eyes inspect the blue bug, its a little creepy looking.]

It's from a classic video game called Yar's Revenge.

[She says quite matter of factly.]

[Zelda knows nothing about video games.]

Oh? What's it about?

It's about an alien race called Yars and their fight against an evil alien race called the Qotile, who blew up one of their three home planets. So now they're getting revenge and trying to protect the other two.

[That sounds like a sad game.]

Is it difficult?

[It sounds difficult.]

There's a trick to it. A lot of old games were like that.

What kind of trick?

[She still doesn't realize that this is played on a computer. She assumes it's like a throwing game.]

Or is it just a way to do it that's special?

[line_piece]

There's an area on the screen where you can't be hit by incoming enemy attacks. But as long as you're there, you can't hit them either. So there's actually a lot of strategy involved.

Sounds like it.

[She's a little confused but she think she has a vague idea of what it's like.]

Were you really good at it?

[She at least assumes that Chiaki likes it very much.]

Yeah. I logged some pretty high scores.

That sounds amazing. I don't think I'd be too skilled at those games.

[Link is the one with talent for those sorts of things but Zelda does love to watch. It's always exciting to see if he will succeed.]

Anyone can get good at games if they practice enough. The old ones were mostly about learning and exploiting patterns in the AI.

I wish I could have tried.

[It would be interesting and very unlike what she's used to. With another smile her head tilts to the side, her eyes on her friend.]

Yeah. It's fun. Everyone has really good costumes.

[Her expression softens.]
