Warnings: The Heroes and a party. What could possibly go wrong?

On November 5, another letter from Johnny would go out to everyone reminding them of the costume party, and invite all the newbies along as well. Costumes are a necessity for entrance, except for the newbies, since they've only been here a little over 24 hours now.

The Observatory is in its usual party set up, but this time with an added stage area for any musicians who would like to perform. It's also the spot set up for the costume contest later on. The whole place is covered in festive Night of the 13 Moogles decorations, and as always, there's plenty of food and drinks.

[Yuna looks up from her drink, her mismatched gaze locking on Reno while a warm smile graced her lips. She likes gatherings like these and more than that; Yuna really likes dressing up. She’s worn all sorts of things and she’s happy that she had been able to get something that so closely resembled one of her dresspheres from home.

She turns in a circle as if to show off her backside before facing Reno again.]

You think so? I’m lady luck.

[She blows him a kiss and then smiles with a giddy sort of glee. She wonders what Reno would say if she told him that this is an outfit she used to wear in battle.]

Yeah, I'll say.

[He was tempted to make a comment about "getting lucky," but thought better of it.]

Just watch where you aim those kisses, yo. Likely t' shoot a guy straight through the heart like that.

[Yuna smiles before holding up a single finger to her lips.]

What if that's my plan?

[SHe teases lightly with a smile. She's really excited to wear something that's close to normal for her and she's having fun.]

[Reno laughed.]

Well, that's different. Then I'd hafta say yer a smart lady an' doin' it all right.

[He grinned.]

Can I get you a drink or somethin'?

[Now that he was relatively sober, and they were safely at a mutual friend's house.]

[Yuna nods with a warm smile.]

Sure. I think they made some sort of punch.

[She points over to the food table as she spoke. It's good to assume the punch has been spiked, most likely by Johnny.]

[A punch bowl -- oh, no doubt in Reno's mind that was spiked. He wasn't sure if Johnny had invited any Heroes that were "under-age" (not that that really meant much), but he had a feeling that didn't matter. With a smile and a raised finger signaling he'd be right back, Reno sauntered over to the table to fill two glasses.]

[He held one out to Yuna upon his return.]

For you, lovely.

[Yuna smiles taking the cup from his hand.]

Aren't you charming.

[She takes a long sip tasting the sugary flavor on her tongue.]

It's good! [Also very alcoholic.]

Are you wearing a costume?

[She can't really tell.]

[The telltale burn, however subtle, was noticed by Reno as well. This punch was definitely spiked, but still sweet enough to get an inexperienced person in trouble. Or an experienced person if they so chose.]

[He chuckled softly at her question.]

It's really not obvious?

[He should have known, since there was apparently also a Job that was the same.]

I'm a pirate.

[Yuna flashes and apologetic smile.]

I didn't know if it was your job or your costume. It looks really good on you.

[She's appreciating the sliver of chest that he currently has showing.]

I was kinda talked into it...

But if you say so, then the shopkeeper wasn't just shittin' me. [He smiled.] So I guess I picked a good one.

[Oh, that open shirt is definitely on purpose.]

I don't think I saw anythin' as glamorous as yours there. You have it made for you?

[It would make sense, the way it hugged her body perfectly.]

[Yuna looks down at her costume again and smiles.]

Something like that. I made it, since it's a design from home.

[It's something she's used to wearing and since she fights in it, it's something she's used to repairing.]

I didn't find any costumes that really fit me here.

[And she isn't wearing that moogle suite again.]

[Reno simply stared for a moment, amazed. He wasn't sure what impressed him more -- that she wore that sort of thing at home, or that she was able to make such an intricate outfit by herself.]

Wow. That's really impressive actually. I dunno anyone else who made theirs.

[Except maybe Sparks... because Reno has no idea what the hell Sparks is supposed to be.]

I think a few people did.

[She knows a few people who are skilled at sewing and there is no way that Billy found his in a shop. If he did, then she'd be curious to know where.]

I'm glad you approve. I was a little worried.

[It isn't technically a costume, at least not of anything specific.]

Worried?

[Reno was incredulous.]

About what? Yer totally smokin'!

[Yuna laughs at his remark softly and there is a slight blush to her cheeks as she watches where Reno's gaze lingers. It's common for people of Spira to dress in different states of undress so she isn't used to these sort of reactions.]

Thank you for saying so.

[She pauses for a moment and takes a sip. She was trying to find the right word to describe his costume.]

I'd say you look devious but otherwise very handsome.
