better late than never
Who: Everyone!
What: A week late Halloween celebration.
Where: The Observatory
When: Friday, Nov. 6, 7:00 PM
Warnings: The Heroes and a party. What could possibly go wrong?
On November 5, another letter from Johnny would go out to everyone reminding them of the costume party, and invite all the newbies along as well. Costumes are a necessity for entrance, except for the newbies, since they've only been here a little over 24 hours now.
The Observatory is in its usual party set up, but this time with an added stage area for any musicians who would like to perform. It's also the spot set up for the costume contest later on. The whole place is covered in festive Night of the 13 Moogles decorations, and as always, there's plenty of food and drinks.
[[This is just a general mingle log, and a good way for the new Heroes to meet everyone, so post whatever and have fun!]]

He means well. I think he was just startled.
[She carefully lifts Flower into her arms letting the cat's back legs kick up towards the air.]
He's really very sweet.
[Terra looks over at him.]
Would you like to try and hold him?
[She doesn't know if he can in that costume.]
no subject
It, uh, might be best for you to keep him. I'd end up scaring him if I tried.
[He sat himself back up and gave the cat another tentative pat.]
no subject
Then what if I hold him out so you can pet him easier?
[With her idea floating in the air between them she carefully stands. Flower is resting in her arms with his tail flicking down her side. He looks up at Billy curiously as Terra moves her torso a little closer.
From this angle it's easier for Billy to pet Flower, even with his costume.]
I like your costume by the way.
no subject
You, too...your costume is really fitting. Cats, and all.
[Smooth, Billy. Nailed it.]
no subject
Thank you.
[She holds Flower in a position for Billy to pet him if he wants too. Though she isn't going to force him too.]
I really like animals.
[And moogles... and children... and all things cute and adorable.]
no subject
It's good of you to take care of them. [Billy could sympathize. Animals were so much easier to deal with than people.]
Did you have a pet before you came here?
no subject
I hadn't, I learned a lot from Tempest.
[Her life before coming here is only one that will bring tears.]
I couldn't leave them on their own.
[Flower meows softly and stretches out along Terra's arms so that Billy can scratch more of his belly.]
no subject
I know that feeling. [It had been kids Billy had taken in, not animals, but he understood what it was like to see a life in need and feel obligated to intervene and help.]
no subject
[Terra smiles more than happy to explain. She can tell that Billy has a similar caring trait to his countenance.]
She helps take care of the shop when I'm away as well.
no subject
She sounds like a good moogle. [Billy's moogle was helpful in the sense she told him when he did something wrong, but they weren't really friends or anything.]
Do you have anyone else working at the shop? [It seemed like a lot of work for one girl and one moogle.]
no subject
Tempest said a friend of hers might be visiting during the holidays and they'd attend the shop for me but it's just us right now. [She's been working at the shop alone for so long it just feels normal now.]
I've thought about getting help but I don't really know how to ask for that.
[Or who to ask. Terra's business sense is very minimal.]
no subject
[Not that Billy could lecture. He'd run an orphanage, with just the help of his seven year old sister. But still, it wasn't ideal for Terra and her moogle to do all that work.]
There's always the quest board. You could post a notice that you're hiring, if you want someone to help out.
no subject
I’ll try.
I know Tempest is thinking of finding more help.
[Except it’s another moogle.]
