What: A week late Halloween celebration.

Warnings: The Heroes and a party. What could possibly go wrong?

On November 5, another letter from Johnny would go out to everyone reminding them of the costume party, and invite all the newbies along as well. Costumes are a necessity for entrance, except for the newbies, since they've only been here a little over 24 hours now.

The Observatory is in its usual party set up, but this time with an added stage area for any musicians who would like to perform. It's also the spot set up for the costume contest later on. The whole place is covered in festive Night of the 13 Moogles decorations, and as always, there's plenty of food and drinks.

[Thank you for wearing sensible armor and keeping warm during the cold season. The Barkeep never understood some of the equipment he found in shops. How was a short dress supposed to defend you from magical attacks?

He holds out a bottle of cream.] I can mix you somethin' without alcohol if you'd like.

Anyway, it's good to see we have time to relax between adventures instead of goin' out and fightin' monsters, like, every day. Bein' a full-time hero is hard work. [Says the man who hasn't gone out of Aqures Ixen the past few months.]

[she's had her fill of wearing boarskin harnesses back in Coerthas. But a short dress… that seems more like something meant for looks to her, too.

She considers for a moment, head tilted back, and nods.]

That'll be a nice way to start off the evening.

Indeed. [she gives him a considering look.] What have you been up to in the last little while, then?

[Easy. Carbonated water makes anything taste five times as fancy as it actually is. Congratulations, K'pandolu, the Barkeep may have just introduced you to soda.]

Oh, not much apart from fixin' up my saloon and my house. Went to the sewers not too far back, now I'm thinkin' of goin' out again.

[Sparks reminded him earlier this evening of how much he misses Mars, and an adventure will help take his mind off of his friends and family. He's been on a hiatus for too long; he can't spend all day being sad.]

While the cleanin' up of the marshmallow's if taken care of by the city, I have to do somethin' worthwhile.

[the only thing is it's going up her nose, and she pulls back to give the drink a disgruntled look for a moment before sipping it again.]

The sewers? [she thinks she remembers a letter about that. It's too bad she ended up not being able to go.] Did you find anything down there?

We've been helping out with that, a little. [it's irritating, though it needs to be done. If only he's exploded into aether- but that can't be helped.] But- have you other ideas?

You gotta be careful with that; don't get all greedy and try to down it all in one sittin'.

[He sighs.] Not much, apart from ghosts and broken walls. But we got a good sense of where we haven't looked yet, so we might be able to find somethin' else if we try again, possibly not now. I don't wanna get back so soon.

Now I'm not thinkin' of gettin' involved in manual labor - not my type of work - but we need more healers and support out there, fightin' monsters and explorin' ruins.

[he gets a mulish look for that comment- but he does have a point, admittedly.]

Well, better to hear that that's the kind of thing down there than something worse.

No? But you seem as though you'd manage it well. [she says that in a teasing tone, though, and gives him a more serious nod after.] But I think that's a good idea. Did you have some particular ruins in mind?

[A raised eyebrow in return.]

K'Pandolu Tohka [full name basis now] I reckon one day of heavy liftin' will be enough to kill me, and I don't want no trouble to happen to myself. Ain't plannin' on turnin' into a statue anytime soon.

[But it's a good joke, and he calms down.]

Not in particular. I'm not much of an explorer type. Not anymore. But when the next group plans to head out somewhere, I'd like to tag along.
