better late than never

What: A week late Halloween celebration.
Where: The Observatory

Warnings: The Heroes and a party. What could possibly go wrong?

On November 5, another letter from Johnny would go out to everyone reminding them of the costume party, and invite all the newbies along as well. Costumes are a necessity for entrance, except for the newbies, since they've only been here a little over 24 hours now.

The Observatory is in its usual party set up, but this time with an added stage area for any musicians who would like to perform. It's also the spot set up for the costume contest later on. The whole place is covered in festive Night of the 13 Moogles decorations, and as always, there's plenty of food and drinks.

[[This is just a general mingle log, and a good way for the new Heroes to meet everyone, so post whatever and have fun!]]

[He held her hand, moving in closer as the other free hand moved down to her waist. His his hands firmly in position and the song playing in the background, he started to move, making sure that he was leading and not the other way around. It was a simple waltz, but it was still suitable when it came to the music. He just let it take over.]

[Yuna smiles to herself as they step to the music. Fai's easy to follow and she can tell that he's probably done this at least once before. After the first few steps she lightly rested on her head on Fai's shoulder ignoring the part where he's wearing a dress.

They probably look like a very odd pair but she doesn't really care.]

[The music soon slowed to a stop as Fai stopped at that exact time. It had been fun to dance like this at least once, but now it was over and he was starting to wonder just what time it is. Looking at her briefly he didn't even move.]

I hope you enjoyed the dance.

[whereishe]

[Yuna nods feeling her heart skip a little in her chest. She doesn't trust herself to speak just yet, however there is a smile across her lips.]

I did.

[She takes a deep breath, not wanting to pull away for their position.]

Maybe we can do this more in the future. Dancing I mean.

[He knew they should really move soon as he started to instead look around a place to sit down so that they could perhaps spend more time together over a drink or two.]

But for now how about we find a place to sit and have a drink?

[whereishe]

[Yuna laughs looking over to where she had set her drink from before. It's gone and she assumes that someone has cleaned it up. She looks around again, not yet moving and then nods at a table in a far corner.]

Why not grab a seat and I'll get us drinks?

[It's her turn to be chivalrous.

She carefully moves away, her fingers lingering within his hand and on his shoulders for a moment before turning towards the counter with drinks and food.]

Then I'll grab a seat.

[He knew to at least let go since she wanted to do something, he was not one to not let her. But instead he walked towards the table he assumed that she had been looking at and taken the seat. All he had left to do was wait for her to come back. It was something he was use to, them being apart from good amount of time, even when they live together due to work or other commitments, but he still felt that lingering feeling of missing someone. That same feeling he always had when it came to thinking about his friends.

It made him think about things at least until she got back.]

Everything alright?

[She asks lightly, placing a glass in front of him before taking a seat at his side. She doesn’t recognize the expression on his face but to her it looks as if he had been lost in thought. Her head tilts slightly to the side before rising her glass to her lips.

Yuna takes a small sip before placing the drink down.]

You look like you are thinking about something.

[He was quick to look over slightly, a small smile spreading over his lips. he'll think about it some more later, but first he picked up the glass and took a sip.]

I was, but it's something I can think on later. Right now we can discus other things.

[whereishe]

Oh? Like what?

[The way he says that makes her think he has something in mind.]

Well... I guess we could talk about the coming couple months. I was hoping that by the end of the year we could send that day together. Just the two of us.

[He knew of what people do in the New Year and usually they spent time together and he figured why not see if that was possible ahead of the time.]

[whereishe]

New years?

[Yuna's head tilts to the side curiously.]

Yeah! [Her smile brightens.] I'd really like that. What did you want to do?

As of right now, I don't have anything planned, but it doesn't mean I won't have something on the day.

[He had taken another sip of his drink after he had finished.]

Okay, I'll look forward to the surprise then.

[Yuna takes a longer sip feeling giddy as the drink tickled down her throat.]

I'm glad they had this.

[Fai had wrapped an arm around the others shoulder as the glass was being held in the other, all with a warm smile on his face.]

I'm glad to. Though the only downside is I should have probably worn a longer skirt.

[whereishe]

[Yuna brings her fingers in front of her lips trying not to laugh.]

Are you getting cold?

[iscursednomore]

In certain... areas a little bit, yes.

[His hand moved slightly to tug down his skirt, part because he was pretty sure it had started to ride up.]

I knew it would be a case since it's colder weather in autumn.

[whereishe]

[Yuna might just turn red for him as he tugs down his skirt.]

Did you want to head out soon? [She doesn't have to guess what's getting cold.]

[iscursednomore]

I'll be fine for a little longer if you want to stay.

[he wanted her to make the choice, but if he really had to, he knew when to call it quits.]

[whereishe]

[Yuna shakes her head with a smile.]

We can head back. Besides I want to walk you home.

[Which she can now finally do.]

You always wanted to do that didn't you?

[He can't help but chuckle slightly. It was probably a happy moment for her to be able to do such a thing really.]

Very well, you can walk me home.

[whereishe]

[Yuna's smile brights as she slides from the chair and get's their coats. She slides her over her shoulder, covering her costume since her coat drops to her knees, and handing Fai his.]

Let's go then

[He will happily take his coat with a smile, putting it on.]

Ladies first. [He stepped to the side to let her past first.]

[Yuna walks ahead and then waits just outside. She'd rather them walk side by side if possible. It's nice to be returning to the same house or room in this case.]

Did you have a nice time?

It was very interesting, which is always a good thing. What about you?

[As he followed and soon stood next to her to walk, taking her hand firmly into his own.]
