Who: Everyone!
What: A week late Halloween celebration.
Where: The Observatory
When: Friday, Nov. 6, 7:00 PM
Warnings: The Heroes and a party. What could possibly go wrong?

On November 5, another letter from Johnny would go out to everyone reminding them of the costume party, and invite all the newbies along as well. Costumes are a necessity for entrance, except for the newbies, since they've only been here a little over 24 hours now.

The Observatory is in its usual party set up, but this time with an added stage area for any musicians who would like to perform. It's also the spot set up for the costume contest later on. The whole place is covered in festive Night of the 13 Moogles decorations, and as always, there's plenty of food and drinks.

[[This is just a general mingle log, and a good way for the new Heroes to meet everyone, so post whatever and have fun!]]

[She's glad to hear it, despite the time she spends working alone in the observatory she likes it better when she isn't by herself. Her lips curl into a warm smile.]

Thank you. Maybe we can have even more parties like this.

[More so since the winter holiday was approaching.]

Ah yes, that's right! Winter Vale is coming soon. I had almost forgotten the time. If All Saints Wake was last week, then Winter Vale comes.

I will miss the festivities in Eorzea this year, but I will not be upset if I can spend it with good friends and people I care about.

What's Winter Vale?

[Zelda tilts her head slightly, her blue gaze curious. She doesn't know much about other holidays however she's learned some of Crystallis's traditions.]

Winter Vale is a time of gift giving to the children, men and women of Eorzea. It is a time of peace and happiness, although some strange things happen once in a while in Winter Vale such as snowmen appearing in places that should not have snow.

However, there is a tale of a jolly bearded man, who goes around giving the most exquisite gifts to young and old, to spur their hopes and dreams on. We call him the Saint of Nymeia, who goes around during the Starlight Celebration which is held during the winter vale month.

That sounds amazing and very similar to the practices here.

[Zelda is already making plans of Christmas gifts for everyone.]

The Starlight Celebration is another name for it too and there are presents and snow and carols and it's a lot of fun.

Then there is something in common! Perhaps we should look into finding Saint of Nymeia outfits then, so we could go around giving gifts?

I try and give gifts. I'll probably start now and then give them out towards the end of December.

[She pauses for a moment.]

What do outfits for the Saint of Nymeia look like?

Well it's white along the collar, and then there's red felt or velvet down the front and back. On some, they provide tights as well, and soft red and white boots. And there are buttons down the front.

That sounds familiar, they might have something like that here.

[Zelda lightly presses a finger to her lip as she thinks it over.]

I have a starlight outfit that I wore last year.

[It isn't completely traditional.]

Well then, if they do have something similar then I will have to dig out my false mustache then.

[Cause nothing says silly like a big bushy mustache.]

[Zelda laughs looking up at Meteor with a wide smile. She hopes that they can keep this sort of spirit all through the winter months.]

I’ll see if I can find mine but I don’t think I’m going to wear a mustache.

The mustaches were handed out last year during the Starlight Celebration. It was rather fun to dress up fully that year.

[Zelda still can't imagine herself in a mustache.]

Sounds like fun. What did you do in this mustache?

I tracked down the man who people said was the Saint. Turns out, it was a friend of mine who feigned not to know me for a bit before giving up the chase.

[Zelda's determined to do something again this year but she doesn't know what yet. Last year everyone got gifts but she's thinking of something more general since there are now over 100 heroes.

She yawns and then lightly rubs her eye.]

I'm sorry. I spent most of the day trying to set up for this. I might go sit down for a bit.

Ah, of course. Go right ahead.

Do you want me to get you something to drink then? [Because may as well return the favor.]

[Zelda blinks looking up at Meteor.]

If it isn't to much trouble.

Of course not. I'll be right back.

[Zelda makes herself comfortable on the chair. She takes a look around to see if she can spot her harp on the shelve. Once she spots it, she reaches for it, bringing the golden instrument into her lap. She is sure more people would sing but that doesn't mean she can't pick out a light tune in the corner.

As Meteor returns he'll hear the sort beginnings of a song. One very close to Zelda before her fingers pull away and look up at him.]

That's a beautiful song. Did you make it up by yourself?

[He offered the drink, knowing that she would take it when she needed it.]

[Zelda takes the drink with a smile while letting her harp rest in her lap.]

No, that's the song of the goddess. I learned it when I was very young. [And it's grow to have a lot of meaning.]

Curiously there are no real songs for the Gods in my world, but there are various songs that the people sing when one is summoned as a primal.

[Zelda laughs softly.]

This tune... it holds power in its own right and the hero who fights the darkness will be able to use it.

[After it's bestowed upon him by the goddess.]

Most of our deities are gone from Hyrule. Leaving those who remain to protect the land.

Quite a powerful tune then. The gods do not speak to us directly anymore, but some say miracles can happen when you pray at their stones.

[Although he never was spoken to by anything but the Mother Crystal.]

[Zelda is about to say something but her lips nervously close. She doesn't remember telling Meteor and she isn't sure if he's read her file.]

What would you say? I mean if you got to meet your gods?
