As Vaan descended from the ship, he was actually surprised by the people waiting for them. Was word sent out prior? Vaan never really paid attention to these sort of things. Although, he was a bit more surprised and who he saw. Bangaa and moogles straight from Ivalice? He walked over to them, looking down at the moogle and up at the Bangaa, a bit more wary of the latter given his experiences with them.

"You guys look like people from Ivalice," He said, Montblanc flew by his shoulder and tugged his hair. "You should introduce yourself first, kupo."

"Ah, right. I'm Vaan."

[Ellie sticks to the back, her blonde hair braided and pinned up, hood down, weapons left behind save for a couple of hidden daggers. From her cabin window, she'd seen the welcome party gathering, and her eyes had narrowed a little in suspicion. Who told them that they would be coming? Have they been expecting a visit for quite some time? Hmmmm... If that's the case, then it's best to look more like a curious visitor than an armed spy. But she'll keep an ear to the ground for signs of opportunities.]

[Her cool gaze moves from face to face, noting the unusual features and the relaxed stance. They don't seem to be expecting trouble. Were she in their shoes, that would not be the case. But very few are as leery and untrusting as she is, so.]

[Once she's examined each person, she gives a shy, unassuming nod of greeting before casting her gaze briefly around the city to take note of the more prominent structures.]

[Billy's seen all types, and after meeting a walrus mutant with terrible ideas about how close of proximity beer halls should be to ship helms, he feels like he can face pretty much anything with the composure expected of a priest.

He gives the strange assortment of people a nod of greeting. He plans on being polite, as long as they don't give him a reason not to, and that usually works best when he says as little as possible. Let the friendlier people do the greetings.]

"This is Mogidya, and I am Moglin." The Moogle with the blue dress turned to the Bangaa then to the Elezen, waiting for them to introduce themselves.

"I am Ba'Gelo."

"And my name is Davoix."

She then looked back at them. Meanwhile, the other Primal Moogle goes around them and gives curious look at Montblanc and the other Moogles following the characters.

"You are Heroes of Light, right, Kupo?"

"We are." Rukia stepped forward with a calm and confident smile. "Or at least, so we were informed. It's a pleasure to meet you." As she wasn't aware of their traditional manner of greeting, she bowed. Better than risking an intrusion of physical boundaries by sticking out her hand.

Goodness, these Moogles looked so different, but they had the same speech patterns. It made her wish Chappopo had come along, she was sure they would have got along famously.

"Rukia Kuchiki. I hope we may learn much about one another in the days to come."

There was a great deal she wanted to ask, but there was a time and a place. For now, they were being welcomed as guests, not interrogaters. She would hold her peace for now.

"Billy Lee Black," Billy told the welcoming committee. "If you know about the Heroes of Light, do you know about what's been going on in the rest of the world?"

Nobody on the other continents seemed to know what to do about the 'crystallization' thing, but maybe these guys had some ideas. Worth a shot, right?

"Likewise." The Elezen nodded before the Bangaa added, "And hopefully trade with each other. Business hasn't been famous lately, I say."

The Elezen sighed but then Moglin shook her head at Billy.

"We don't know anything about what's happening in the outside world, Kupo. Maybe the Sage does, but then he hasn't told us anything, Kupo."

Vaan tilted his head, crossing his arms as he listened. The Sage?

"Who's the Sage?"

If it's something they could meet and find out more about this place, that would be pretty neat. Although he hoped to explore a bit too while they were here.

"The Sage is a great man, Kupo!"

The Elezen was next to speak.

"He's the oldest one amongst us. He foresaw your arrival and told us to come and welcome you."

"I'm certain the merchants in the other nations would be delighted at the prospect of trade, particularly if your goods are exotic or unique to them," Rukia smiled. "I'll have to do a little shopping myself!" Surely there were fantastic weapons, food, and trashy horror novels goods that would catch her interest.

She, too, was interested in this Sage. "Would it be possible to meet him? We wouldn't want to appear intimidating if we were to all rush over at once, but my curiosity is piqued. It sounds as if he knows a great deal, and there are many important questions we've had for a long time which have presently lacked sufficient answers."

Oh, great, more ancient figures who knew all the answers but isolated themselves rather than acting on their knowledge. Billy sighed.

"Has he told you that the whole planet is in danger?" Being kept in the dark about the rest of the world was not going to protect these people from getting petrified or crystallized or whatever. Billy already did not trust this Sage guy.
