Ah? Chrom?

[Robin didn't really expect too much. She'd said some goodbyes to people before she took off; she'd wanted to say more, but... there's a flight to catch.]

[She stops when Chrom calls out, turning to look back at him, and pauses; she smiles, briefly, before she lifts her hand up in a wave.]

Is everything all right? Did I forget something?

[shepherd_prince]

No, nothing like that.

[Not technically. He finally makes his way to her, only slightly winded, and grinning like a fool.]

I got you something for the trip. A good luck charm. Here.

[He holds out his gloved hand, fingers uncurling from his palm to reveal the crystalline glint of a snowflake pendant suspended on a thin silver chain.]

I hope it's not too gaudy.

You did? [She sounds surprised -- and, more than that, she sounds touched. She didn't expect a farewell gift or anything of the sort; as much as she wasn't looking forward to that part of leaving... they were professionals. She didn't expect anything.]

[So... even if it shouldn't be a surprise, it is. Robin's eyes widen as she takes the snowflake pendant, looking down at it.]

Ah... Chrom! You--you shouldn't have, really. [But despite that claim, Robin's definitely smiling.]

[He'd meant to say something along the lines of 'It's nothing much' or 'Sorry it isn't anything special' but seeing the width of her smile, he can't really say those things and believe them. She likes it. He can take pride in that.]

There is little more I could give you to ensure your safety. I know your strength, and your intelligence. A little luck is all I can offer you now, so I hope it serves you well.

[She's quick to slip it around her neck, then she beams at him more. Robin nods, happily.]

I'm sure that it will. I'll keep it safe out there. And you, ah--you'll take care of yourself, right?

I don't think you'll have cause to worry. ...So long as Morgan doesn't dig any more traps in your absence.

[He smirks, then steps forward to give Robin a quick, firm embrace before releasing the tactician.]

Safe journey.

Let's hope not. [Without her here, there wouldn't even be a point. She hugs him back, firmly, and then takes a step back. Her cheeks are faintly red, now. That won't be going away any time soon.]

I'll be careful. Ah... [A moment's hesitation.] And I'll write, too.

I'd like that.

[He smiles, a touch red himself. But he's happy, even if he's going to miss having her around. Still, they have work to do, and that's important.]

Take care of yourself, all right?

I will. You do, too.

[She pats Chrom on the arm; her hand lingers a little longer than it should. Then, Robin smiles. She hesitates a moment, but she doesn't want to drag the goodbye out too long.]

[That might bring her down. So she waves and takes a long look, before she's off for the Enterprise.]

[Chrom smiles back and remains on the dock. She looks really excited to be setting out on this journey, so he can't help but feel happy for her. Is he worried? Not really. She's surrounded by competent fighters and capable friends, not to mention she's far from being a helpless damsel herself. Maybe this will be a good way for Chrom and Morgan to have a little guy time as well and get to know each other. He's practically a godson if he truly is Robin's child.]

[So he remains there, ready to wave goodbye as soon as the ship takes off, and keep waving until she's out of sight.]
