Hmm. And we're strangers- I doubt that's helping. But if we don't ask questions, how are we to get anywhere?

I caught the end of a talk about what they thought some device might do. Not many of the details of how it worked, unfortunately.

[The fact that he's a stranger is one reason he can think of, yes. Also the fact that here's this little human running around all these tall elves. He can't help but feel out of place.

The other problem slowing Cloud down is not knowing what questions to ask. Most of what he has on hand is what sort of things they can do for his Magitek Knight Job and that doesn't help endear him to them much.]

What kind of device was it? What did it look like?

[It's… not quite so dissimilar, for her. Certainly, with the other Heroes around, it feels a little more like the mix of peoples she's used to… And yet she's still ill at ease.]

It seemed meant for making life easier… Some manner of elevator, I think. [and she attempts to describe the control mechanism for one of those.]

Huh, that would be pretty useful, though I don't know how much they'd need them in Aqures Ixen. Did it look more like it was for people or for freight?

[It really doesn't matter. Cloud is just curious. He's from a world with elevators too, K'pandolu.]

Someone might still find a use for them. [and if they have access, someone might start wanting to do so.] From the size, I think it was for freight.

Hmmm, maybe they were designing it for helping to excavate the ruins? Better than trying to lift some ancient artifact or whatever by ropes.
