[Reno's eyebrows rose. He hadn't expected that. Not that it was a complete shock -- he'd met people on Atia that had been deceased in their own worlds. But it was still surprising when it came up in conversation.]

[Kidd gives Reno a sidelong glance. It's a tricky thing to bring up, and the apology is appreciated, but it's something she's already dealt with on more than one occasion since coming here. It's not a kind topic but it's not one that pains her as much anymore.]

It's alright. I was dying of fever when I was brought here. Not uncommon where I come from. If I was sent back I don't know what state I'd find myself in. [She sighs, pushing a few thoughts away as they well up.] There are...a few people I wish I could see again, but at least this world gives me a second chance.

Is it wrong that sometimes I hope to see them which each new group of arrivals?

[She'd been honest with him. It was fair to be honest with her. Reno sighed and shook his head slightly, lowering his voice.]

No... There's people I wish I'd see, too.

I mean, I don't want them in danger, or hurt, or... whatever. But... I still miss 'em.

[And he knew it was selfish, but there were people he'd do anything to have with him again.]

[She nods, not saying much else for a moment. His thought is the same as hers.]

Well, if we do see them again we can only hope it's under better circumstances than this. And in that case it's up to us to see that it happens.

[She then lets a little smirk creep across her face.]
