Player Plot: The Mysidian Tower!

Who: Everyone who signed up for the plot!
What: Jade is taking a team to explore the Mysidian Tower before it'd swallowed by the Calamity.
When: February 8th-12th
Where: The Mysidian Tower on the Continent of Ruin.
Warning: Everything that can be expected of surprise monster encounters. Beyond that, whatever people bring with them.

The Enterprise brings everyone involved to the tower on the afternoon of February 8th. Thankfully the early floors have already been cleared by previous explorers, making the initial entry easy and relatively safe. Once the Heroes start reaching the upper floors, however... Who knows?

[It's not really clear when Jaeha officially moved into the group. He just sort of shows up without any fanfare, hanging out near the fringe of camp with a couple of hand-picked tropical flowers. He knows very well that blooms gathered on his own are received far more favorably than anything purchased in a shop. He's keeping an eye out for the lady he agreed to meet on this date.]

[He's not looking for the long-haired bespectacled gentleman with the faux smile, though to his credit, Jaeha doesn't mistake his physical appearance as anything remotely feminine.]

[No one seems to be approaching him about the flowers, though. He thought that would be a surefire indicator as to his identity.]

[Finally with a sigh, he pushes away from the boulder he's favored for his waiting spot and approaches Jade.]

Begging your pardon. You wouldn't happen to know where the leader of this expedition is, would you?

[Ah. Here comes his date.

Jade's smile is actually little more genuine now, though that's probably not much comfort when it's at someone else's expense.]

Oh, you must be Jaeha! We've been waiting for you.

[With a bright grin, he offers his hand to shake.]

Colonel Jade Curtiss. It's a pleasure to have you with us.♥

[Jaeha may not have expected a middle-aged military man, but hey, at least Jade's pretty easy on the eye, right?]

...Well...you're not quite what I expected...

[Jaeha's smile is frozen, but he's not about to overreact or pitch a fit. He supposes if he has to wind up working alongside another man, it's better for that man to be beautiful.]

Needless to say, we won't be dating, but I did promise to lend my aid. I wouldn't be much of a gentleman if I backed out now, would I?

[And the tropical flowers are now in the hands of a confused looking Elezen woman who happens to be in the area. Jaeha shakes Jade's hand with a firm grip.]

Is this a military expedition, Colonel?

That's too bad. I shall endeavor to contain my heartbreak.

[At least he's handling this gracefully. The reaction may not be the most entertaining one, but it does give Jade something to gauge the man's personality by.

Was this all a test? ...Possibly.]

Yes and no. I'm organizing this trip as a private individual, but we are getting some aid from the Esdham military.

[He inclines his head at the troops Sephiroth brought with him.]

Now isn't that interesting. Nice of the military to help folks out. But I can't help wondering what they get out of this in return.

[In short, he's not too keen on the idea of involving the military in this kind of expedition.]

Are you expecting the danger to be too much for the rest of us to handle, perhaps?
