Player Plot: The Mysidian Tower!
Who: Everyone who signed up for the plot!
What: Jade is taking a team to explore the Mysidian Tower before it'd swallowed by the Calamity.
When: February 8th-12th
Where: The Mysidian Tower on the Continent of Ruin.
Warning: Everything that can be expected of surprise monster encounters. Beyond that, whatever people bring with them.
The Enterprise brings everyone involved to the tower on the afternoon of February 8th. Thankfully the early floors have already been cleared by previous explorers, making the initial entry easy and relatively safe. Once the Heroes start reaching the upper floors, however... Who knows?

Makes sense. [ The Tower doesn't seem like the most conventional of workplaces, and it's possible that the researchers rarely ever left it. ] Depending on what we find further in, we might consider relocating our base here for an easier access.
... Depending. [ He repeats, continuing to pay close attention to Kidd's cues as he explores the rooms. ]

The third door opens up to a larger room, with long tables stretching from one end to the other. There are utensils lying around here and there; a few cups have fallen on the floor. There is a counter in the back, lined up with pots.]

[Furrowing her brow she finally figures out what it is about this floor that bothers her. It's the stillness of the recent occupation, as if people had once been in this place a scant few years ago. Not the centuries that the cycles purport.]
Perhaps it's just me but this place seems in rather good condition considering its age. There's no sign of anyone but...it just feels too recently vacated. Perhaps it's just my own paranoia.

[ Especially in a place like this. All they could do for now is wonder out loud, and so Ace decides to go ahead and give the dining area a better look, heading towards the kitchen. Should there be any food to be found, or, at the very least, remains thereof, it could be an answer as to whether this floor has seen any visitors across the years. ]

[Albel continued to look around the determined "common area." This was his last choice for a base, even if it was nicely furnished. This close to the front lines, with the Calamity moving -- a Calamity he couldn't fight with his sword, couldn't kill with his own hands. It was infuriating. With an enemy like that, encroaching ever closer, what else could one do but stay away until a real plan was in place? Being here didn't keep the last Heroes from being wiped out.]
[Though... Kidd was right. This was off.]
It's... really clean.
[He gave her a look, brow furrowed.]
How long has this place gone unoccupied? And it still looks relatively... recently used.

It doesn't smell very good.
There is another corridor leading out of the dining room. At the end, there are stairs going up to the next floor.]

As far as we've been told [And the weight she puts on the word is telling] we're the first to explore this high in this tower. If that's true then it hasn't been occupied since the last cycle. But then the question is what does resetting the cycle DO exactly?
[Clearly it doesn't clean up after the tower's occupants.]
Ace? Have you found anything?

I would recommend to stay away from the kitchen. It's safe to claim the last meal here was prepared centuries ago. [ He concludes his brief report with a sigh. ]
But I have located another set of stairs, so follow me.

[Albel wrinkled his nose at the thought. Still, there was something about the quarters that bothered him. He pushed it to the back of his mind for now, but he wouldn't forget it.]
Alright. Let's go.

The stairs on the other hand might lead to some more solid clues of what is going on here. After all, the tower was drawing them upwards with the implicit promise of answers at the top.]
Lead the way.

Pieces of paper have been tacked or taped to the walls, near another row of computers. There is a flower pot near a window, though its contents have long since died and shriveled.]
