Intro Log || Melodies of Eternity
Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Aqures Ixen.
When: The 5th of March. The new Heroes of Light will awaken early in the morning.
Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken in Aqures Ixen and are informed by their assigned Moogles of what the situation and what their destinies are. This a log for them to react to the situation, meet each other and be welcomed by the former batches of Heroes of Light.
Warning: Lots of distressed and depressed Heroes of Light.
The Hospital
— Anytime —
Characters who have already been in Crystallis before do not wake up by the Crystal of Fire like everyone else. Instead, they will wake up in the Hospital of Aqures Ixen, in a room where there are over a hundred of other Heroes of Light like them-- Maybe even some familiar faces... Except they're all in Crystal Stasis.
A few Moogles and nurses will be waiting by the room, and they will welcome all characters waking up. However...
Upon exiting the room, they will find the Hospital is very busy. Nurses and healers can be seen moving corpses around on stretchers, and overall a very dark and tense atmosphere reigns over the Hospital. In closed rooms, some of the most skilled healers are trying to analyze the corpses and find out what happened. And these dead people? They are of the Heroes of Light who died on the 29th of February.
Melodies of Eternity
— Anytime —
If you are a Hero of Light who survived that accursed day, your crystal will shine at the very same moment the new Heroes appear before the Crystal of Fire. That means your character is now linked to the Crystal of Fire and will come back to life after a week if killed.
They will also receive their Moogle and their housing in the 11th or 14th District. But that probably isn't enough for the pain to go away.

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within an instant, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you knew it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had, are now gone. It is silent, cold and it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you.
At this moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:
"Wake up."
Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by distant noises of engines. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call one more time, but is soon replaced with a much less graceful "Wake up Kupo." Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally wake you up. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Fire, in the third district of a city called Aqures Ixen. At this point, you may realize the engine noise actually originates from an Airship flying low over the city and headed to dock beneath the castle. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding. Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures who are more than happy to tell you about everything you want to know, about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light, about what awaits you.
Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.
The only people around you are like you-- There are quite a few of them, all clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. If somehow you do not realize it, the Moogle who woke you up will be more than happy to inform you there are others like you around. In fact, there are other Heroes who have arrived in the course of the past year and they will come soon! Like you, they have Jobs and a Crystal.
If asked, the Moogles will mention that the Heroes of Light - that is to say you - are fighting against time to save Crystallis from the Calamity that is about to awaken to devour the entire world. Well, that is if you don't die or crystallize first. A couple days ago, a lot of Heroes of Light crystallized or died out of the blue without any warning! Sounds terrible? Welcome to Crystallis.
The Other Heroes
— Shortly Thereafter —
Thanks to the efficiency of Mognet, it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around: those who arrived in this world within the past year. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you that there were other Heroes of Light in this city. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you about how they managed to push back the Empire and defeat gigantic beasts in the past. And more importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have all the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.
If so, you may be up for a tragic disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.
The City of Aqures Ixen
— Anytime —
With Choco Egg day nearing, there are a lot fo Hypello working on the upcoming competitions and on making chocolates! Want to eat some? Too bad, the Moogles will hit you with the stick they use to make the chocolate if you try to eat them!
And besides the chocolates, there are a lot of things to do in the city for newcomers. Moogles are working hard in Mognet Office of the ninth district following the election of their new director, and while there are no Blitzball Matches today, a lot of Triple Triad players are gathered at the stadium. Why? Because they are working on the early preparations for the Triple Triad World Championship that will happen in May! Characters are also free to visit the city-- They can visit Airship Port in the twelfth district from where characters can board for free Airships from Shoopuf Airline.
Or maybe you could visit your new house in the 11th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with.
The Laboratory
— Anytime —
A location where a lot of Heroes of Light seem to be gathering is Palitutu's Laboratory. It is a place where employed characters can research into various topics. However, most importantly, characters can see a file with their name...
Should your character decide to go there and peek at their file, there are two possibilities. Either the file is corrupted and they cannot access it: too bad for them, but at least their life will remain a mystery. Or should you decide the file isn't corrupted, they will find a summary of their lives up to their canon point, as if written by a third-person omniscient narrator. On the column left to the text, to the top there is a portrait of them, and beneath it there is a 3D model of them. Said portrait and model can be switched to any year of their life. At the bottom there is a percentage, indicating 0%. On the right column, there are various links, most of which are grayed out. The clickable links lead to their Homeworld History and their future post-canon point history (corrupted file for unfinished canons).
At least, they can lock this file away if they don't want anyone to see it.

After that day where several of their companions had departed from their sight, one Hero found herself wandering around the streets of Aqures Ixen trying to figure out what to do next. Minfilia did look at some of the tomes in the library but had the idea to try and look in other spots for any kind of clues as to why some suffered their fates and some like herself managed to stay in tact. Under her clothing, the crystal began to glow, making her stop and take notice. It startled her as she pulled it out, unaware of the moogle that was suddenly flying at full speed right behind her.
Who ended up crashing into the woman.
"K-Kupo! I'm so sorry! I-I-I was only meaning to welcome you!"
"It's quite alright." Minfilia attempted to soothe the poor creature. "You're not hurt are you?"
House B-04: Meeting New Faces?
After the moogle, calling herself Tataru (which Minfilia would admit made her double take and ask if that was her real name) explained about having a place to stay in the city, Minfilia had to take a look for herself. Being out in the wilderness and always moving around made her appreciate the small luxuries that life had to give. Like warm showers and beds. From what Tataru was saying, she was going to room with a few others but it didn't seem really bad.
All she could do now was knock on the door and speak to whoever answered. "Hello there, my friend here said that I would be living with you." Well, she was polite at least.

For a moment, he debated on speaking up to her, and noticing his gaze, Moggle Mog poked him. "C'mon kupo, talk to her. She's a cutie, isn't she?"
Meteor spluttered. "Excuse me? Moggle Mog, I do say that's not right."
"What? That you don't want to talk to her being she's from your world, or that she's cute? What would Zelda think?"
Meteor scowled at his moogle before walking over. "Hail, pray hold a moment, good madam. You are Minfilia of the Scions, correct?"
no subject
"Yes, I am she. Have we met before?"
It worried her when the last time someone said they knew her, she had no idea until the miqo'te mentioned a particular password used when out on a mission.
no subject
He bowed a little. "It is a honor to finally meet you, Minfilia. I heard good things about you and your Scions."
no subject
"No, 'tis I who should be honored. I never realized how much an adventurer truly does until coming here." And something Minfilia herself doesn't do very often was actually bow in return. Much more respect for adventurers now.

She was staring down at one of the books, wondering if this had been why she'd pursued Scholar in another time, when the sound cuahgt her attention, and she leapt up, ears up. "A new arrival?" she asked, peering at the moogle curiously.
no subject
"Y-You're not mad at me for being clumsy, kupo?"
"Why would I?" Maybe she had some kupo nuts in her bag, that usually helps. As Minfilia started to search her bag, her eyes noticed K'pandolu and she waved to her. "Hello again, friend. Have you been here long?"
no subject
One ear flicked, and K'pandolu nodded, not quite as pleased that she'd apparently managed to go unnoticed as she could have been. "Some little while," she said, and glanced about briefly- but Sika wasn't in sight, at least not at the moment. "Ought we to do introductions now?"
no subject
"Oh oh! I can! I can!" the little moogle squeaked and raised its paws to both girls. "I'm Tataru! It's nice to meet you miss!"
Minfilia couldn't help but blink at the name. Did she really say her name was the same one that her clerk and friend shared?
no subject
"A pleasure," she said, raising her hand in greeting. "I fear I don't know where Sika's got to, but I'm sure she'll be glad to meet you as well." She paused, tail twitching up, and tilted her head. "I apologise, but… would you object to a nickname?" It wouldn't feel right, to call someone else by Tataru's name.

"I remember you from the group of heroes that we found." Her thin lips broke into a warm smile. "I'm glad to see that you are safe."
Zelda made a point to know the heroes; know who was there and who wasn't. It wasn't to hard when listening to rumors to keep track of things and her own moogle helped as much as he could. While she knew the heroes she also knew that she was a stranger to them and so with a smile and a slight tilt of her head she introduced herself.
"I'm Zelda."

Once they had made to Aqures Ixen, Minfilia tried to make sure that she had some kind of ides where everything was. It wouldn't do her any good to not know where to get items if she had to leave town and needed to hold onto some medical things. But looking at Zelda, she couldn't help but feel a bit more at ease. Mayhap it was the way she held herself...
"I wish I can say for some of the others who were traveling with us." After hearing about Ysayle's crystalization from Alisaie and unable to find Darling since then, Minfilia was worried about how long they had left before they would meet the same fate. But now was not the time to dwell on it.
"Ah, my apologies. My name is Minfilia, it's nice to meet you Zelda."
no subject
"I am sorry about the others." Her voice was soft but still held it's sweet tone. "I wish we could have found you sooner... perhaps we could have done something."
She tried not to show the weight that she felt beneath the loss but it had become more and more difficult. "That is why I am glad to see you safe Minfilia. I hope we are able to speak more. I am in charge of the heroes guild which is located in the old observatory. We hope to help all the heroes with information as well as adjust. We're at our strongest united." She smiled softly. "At least, that's what I try to do."
no subject
"A guild? Might I ask what it all does?" It sounds like an adventurer's guild to her but it couldn't hurt to ask.
no subject
Zelda ended up doing a lot of odd jobs but the purpose of the guild was to be a sort of light when it appeared for all lights to go out. She had a lot of help from Kaji and Meteor which was really the only reason it was running so well.
"I try to offer my help wherever I can. We keep information there as well."

HORSE.
A brown mare plodded up to her, ears pricked, and immediately pushed her muzzle plaintively against the woman. The mare made a snorting whuffling sound, continuing to press gently but insistently. If she was carrying food on her, that's where the horse nuzzled.
A young woman pelted down the street, her long hair and bandanna tails swinging as she grabbed for the horse's reins and tugged back to give Minfilia some space. "Sorry! Sorry about that. She begs all the time, I don't know how to break her of the habit. She's harmless, I promise."
no subject
She's heard of unicorns existing in Coethas but they were pretty rare but the horse nuzzling her was surprising enough. At this time, the only thing she had in her bag were probably kupo nuts; moogles seemed to want to do anything for the treats or so she heard. Minfilia wasn't sure weither to pet it or step back until what looked like their owner came over.
"It's alright," reassuring was always a good thing. "It would be a wonder if she liked kupo nuts."
no subject
"She might! I've seen her eating pinecones before." She wasn't sure that was good for her horse, but she still seemed pretty healthy despite her diet of nearly anything that grew out of the ground. It wasn't as if Rialynn had the time and energy to pick up every pinecone in the forest when they set up camp for the night, either.
But horses aside, this seemed as good a time as any to introduce herself. "I'm Rialynn. Nice to meet you!"
no subject
"And to you as well Rialynn, my name is-" Minfilia was about to introduce herself when the moogle came over to the horse and started petting her.
"She's so soft, kupo!"
Was that wise? Probably not. The Scion simply shrugged and shook her head. "I'm Minfilia. It's nice to meet you."
no subject
"Nice to meet you too," she laughed, tickled at the Moogle's sudden adoration for her trusty steed. The horse didn't seem too bothered by the attention, the mare's ears flicking briefly as she held herself still. Petting was always nice, and she would allow it to continue.
Realizing how close they were to the Temple of Fire, it struck Rialynn that this person might very well be a new Hero. It was hard for her to distinguish sometimes, but if she had a Moogle, then she probably wasn't an ordinary civilian. "Say, you didn't just wake up here, did you? I confess I don't know everyone's faces just yet, so if I missed you before..."

Turning over her shoulder, the seeming young man cast a smile at Minfilia while Bonnie nibbled on the freshly purchased treat. "I think you'll find that they're a resilent little bunch. A collision like that won't don't more than shake them up."
no subject
"Feel any better?"
"K-Kupo...thank you."
With the moogle calmed down, Minfilia held a hand up in greeting. "One moogle I have been traveling with proved that very matter."
no subject
"Would that be Mogleo? Bonnie here was telling me about him. It seems he left quite an impression on her." A sad frowned crossed over her face as she considered the little Hero's fate. At least he was crystalized rather than killed by whatever happened.
Stepping closer she offered a gloved hand to the other woman, "James Kidd."
i'm so grateful for Lazarus because I thought I lost this tag ;;
"Yes, Mogleo is a good moogle. I would love to travel with him again." She rather not think of him dead and she doesn't know that he's a crystal at the moment. You know those stupidly hopeful people? Kidd was standing in front of one.
"Minfilia," and she took the other's hand. Several months ago, it would've been a much more daintier grip but there was a bit more confidence this time around.
